Embracing Realism with an Attitude of Pessimism and a Foreboding Sense of Fatalism

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

We perceive our civic challenge as some vast, insoluble Rubik’s Cube. Behind each problem lies another problem that must be solved first, and behind that lies yet another, and another, ad infinitum. To fix crime we have to fix the family, but before we do that we have to fix welfare, and that means fixing our budget, and that means fixing our civic spirit, but we can’t do that without fixing moral standards, and that means fixing schools and churches, and that means fixing the inner cities, and that’s impossible unless we fix crime. There’s no fulcrum on which to rest a policy lever. People of all ages sense that something huge will have to sweep across America before the gloom can be lifted – but that’s an awareness we suppress. As a nation, we’re in deep denial.

– Straus and Howe (1997):  “The Fourth Turning”, FIRST EDITION page 2

The books Generations (1992) and The Fourth Turning (1997) by historians William Strauss and Neil Howe identified and categorized recorded cycles of history across multiple cultures and eras.  Both books analyzed the timelines of historical events and correlated them to specific life cycles identified as generational “types”.   Strauss and Howe addressed the concept of time in the context of both circular and linear perspectives.  In so doing, they described the “saeculum” as a “long human life” measuring approximately 80 to 90 years and comprised of four turnings, each lasting around 20 to 22 years.

Tradition Is Not the Worship of Ashes

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

– Ephesians 6:12

As World War III recently expanded into the Middle East, I was reminded of an article I posted last summer where I mentioned my lack of interest in the news.   Honestly, in these times, I have become more interested in things I can control.

Nevertheless, in the thread of that article, a commenter claimed that “news fatigue” was by design and “the less interested people are in what’s going on in the world, the more [The Powers That Be] can get away with. “

That is an interesting notion, indeed.

That same commenter also included a YouTube link to a 2016 documentary entitled Hypernormalisation.  In viewing that three-hour video, I found it to be mostly correct and on the right track, so to speak.  However, because that particular BBC-funded production emphasized the wrong historical “tracks”, it missed the correct destination by its conclusion; and being mostly right is not all right.

The False Prometheus Part I: From Antiquity to the Great Famine

Guest Post by  ICE-9

♫ I’d like to build the world a home
And furnish it with love,
Grow apple trees and honey bees
And snow white turtle doves.
I’d like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony,
I’d like to hold it in my arms,
And keep it company.
I’d like to see the world for once
All standing hand in hand,
And hear the echo through the hills
For peace throughout the land.
That’s the song I hear,
Let the world sing today… ♫

For most Americans this was the initial Globalist Siren song heard for the first time back in the early 1970s. A televised jingo played to a close-up of white, brown, and black children’s hands holding up a small planet earth. The music continued as the image faded out and then in to a still photograph of more children from all creeds and races dressed in traditional ethnic costumes, smiling and holding hands in a circle, all facing inwards towards a glowing planet earth. The chorus started and an iris wipe revealed yet more children, live action now, again all creeds and races, laughing and playing together with a large planet earth beach ball in an expansive green field under a perfect blue sky. The stanza repeated, and a direct cut led to a succession of still photographs of even more smiling children, Africans and South Asians and Central Asians, cheerfully performing third world subsistence chores. And as the final chorus began, a changing montage filled the American television screens with happy Quechua and Nahuatl children surrounded by bushels of quinoa and corn painted in two dimensional revolutionary Mestizo. The music faded and the American viewing audience was left staring into their silent television screens with just a lone planet earth adrift in the infinite black universe.

The Metaphysics Underlying The Sunset of the West

There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

-Proverbs 16:25

The heart is deceitful above all things…

-Jeremiah 17:9

When small men cast big shadows, it means the sun is setting.

– Lin Yutang, Chinese philosopher

Upon the recommendation of a blog commenter, I recently read “The Crisis of Modernity”  by Italian professor and philosopher, Augusto Del Noce (1910 – 1989).  The book was published in 2014 and is a brilliant compilation of twentieth-century essays and speeches by Del Noce.  His philosophical insights are profound and his conclusions and societal predictions, especially regarding Scientism and the Technocracy, are eerily similar to those of English author and theologian C.S. Lewis  – see my previous posts entitled “The Abolition of Man Amid the Consequences of Reality”,  and “Gnostic Parasitism in the Post-Modern Simulacrum”, and “A Postmortem on Postmodernism”.

Persuasion is to Unity What Coercion is to Conformity

Morality is doing what is right regardless of what you are told. Obedience is doing what is told regardless of what is right.

It would be easy to speculate ad nauseam regarding the 2022 U.S. Midterms, but that is not the main intention of this post. Therefore, my comments regarding the national elections will be brief:  In short, it seems there were three general outcomes possible: 1.) Democrats holding both Houses of Congress 2.) GOP winning House or Senate but not both 3.) GOP winning both House and Senate.

In the Old Normal, given current economic shortages and inflation, the extremism of woke politics, increasing urban crime, the politicization of COVID, and the weaponization of federal agencies, a sizable red wave would have been assured.  But we no longer live in the Old Normal and we haven’t for some time. As the aftermath of the 2020 Presidential Election demonstrated, America has crossed the Rubicon. Speculation is moot. At this late date in history, the beast system will never cede power via honest elections.

What Would Be the Aftermath of a Globalist Failure?

Guest Post by Jeff Thomas

Aftermath of a Globalist Failure

In a previous article, Will Globalism Succeed, I described the likelihood of the success of the globalist plan to take over the world.

My take on the question is that the plan will fail.

But why should that be? Well let’s have a look at it.

First, we should recognize that, in any society, roughly 4% of all people are sociopathic and 1% are likely to be psychopathic. I won’t go into the definitions of these two terms, but the primary symptoms of both are as follows:

  • Lack of empathy for others.
  • Impulsive behavior.
  • Attempting to control others with threats or aggression.
  • Using intelligence, charm, or charisma to manipulate others.
  • Not learning from mistakes or punishment.
  • Lying for personal gain.
  • Showing a compulsion for physical violence

Will Globalism Succeed?

Guest Post by Jeff Thomas

Globalism

Over the past decade or two, there have been those who have become alarmed at the rapid rise of the globalists.

And yet, the concept of globalism has always existed. There have always been those who sought to control all that was within their perception. Even if that was just a few villages within a valley, those who sought total rule were thinking “globally,” i.e., “I want it all.”

More Nightmare Shortages Are Coming Thanks To This Emerging Conspiracy

From Brandon Smith

In a recent interview with Bloomberg, the executive vice president of UPS asserted that “regionalization” of the supply chain is critical to economic stability in a world where geopolitical conflicts continue expanding.

The word “regionalization” is basically another way to describe decentralization, a concept which the UPS representative obviously did not want to dive into. Almost every trade expert and industry insider admits that supply chain problems are going to persist into the foreseeable future, and some are starting to also admit (in a roundabout way) that localized production and trade models are the key to economic survival.

Think globally, source locally

Preparing For The Real Threat: The Ascendance of Globalism

Via The Blue State Conservative

The Boy Scouts may have fallen on difficult times over the last few decades as PC became dogma and Woke waves swept over the country. Scandal-hungry media and several adult troop leaders sporting their Bad Apple merit badges put the indelible stain of the psychologically bent on the admirable qualities of legendary Boy Scout training activities. The motto “Be Prepared” remains above all that.

Top economist says ‘We’re about to abandon traditional system of money’ and not a single U.S. politician is talking about it: Why?

Could it be the same reason none want to talk about digital passports and killer injections?

Since I posted the article on March 30 about Pippa Malmgren’s bombshell statement at the World Government Summit on the coming global digital money system, I have been inundated with emails from worried readers.

They want to know what they should do to protect their assets in the face of such a dramatic change.

I have not been able to respond to all these emails so I will respond here. Ideally, these emails should be directed to your representatives in Congress, who actually have the ability to stop or slow down the rush toward a digital currency.

But instead, our senators and representatives, even those on the House and Senate banking and financial oversight committees, have remained silent on this issue.

World War III

Via The Z Blog

The war that the Global American Empire has launched against Russia is just the beginning of a global war it believes will bring about the end times. That sounds extreme but the top foreign policy people of the regime are quietly talking about regime change in both Moscow and Beijing. The main focus right now is Moscow, but they also have Beijing in their crosshairs and maybe even New Delhi. They believe the war is the final phase of the end of history.

This sounds insane given that Russia has more than enough nuclear weapons to reduce the empire to dust. Despite this reality, the people in charge of the empire have the current figurehead demanding Putin be arrested for war crimes. This is a new reality that needs to be acknowledged. Joe Biden is not in charge of anything. That was made clear when Barak Obama visited the White House recently. Biden was completely ignored by everyone, including Obama.

Is Russia REALLY “fighting globalism” in Ukraine?

Via Off-Guardian

Is the Ukraine invasion Putin moving against globalism?

It’s becoming a very popular idea in alt media right now.

Alex Cristoforou says it overtly in his latest video. Catherine Austin Fitts and Karel van Wolferen suggest it in a recent conversation. As does the Daily Expose.

Nationalism to Confront Globalism in Glasgow

Guest Post by Pat Buchanan

Nationalism to Confront Globalism in Glasgow

On Friday, U.S. oil prices hit a seven-year high amid a surge in global demand and a supply crunch induced by OPEC. West Texas Intermediate crude, the U.S. oil benchmark, climbed to $82 a barrel. Gas prices followed… Oil is at its highest price since OPEC launched its price war against U.S. shale producers.

“Extraordinary, isn’t it? I’ve been hearing all about COP,” said the queen to the duchess of Cornwall. “Still don’t know who is coming. … We only know about people who are not coming. … It’s really irritating when they talk but they don’t do.”

Queen Elizabeth II was expressing her exasperation at the possible number of no-shows at the U.K.’s coming climate summit in Glasgow, Scotland.

Among the absentees may be Chinese President Xi Jinping, whose country generates more carbon dioxide than the U.S. and EU combined.

Behind the queen’s exasperation, however, lies a political reality.

Uncola Question: What’s Wrong With This Picture?

Llpoh’s article on “Narratives reminded me of recently being sent the above meme by a progressive male Caucasian acquaintance.

I believe I’ve seen it before and was thinking Stucky may have posted something similar here on TBP in the past?

Regardless, this meme’s presentation may hold the key to understanding the liberal’s embrace of Marxism, globalism, social justice, and the progressive hatred for all things MAGA. At the same time, it is difficult to refute at face value.

So what would be the most effective, and pithy, way to unwind this theological knot?

Any takers?

They’re Just F*cking With Us Now. Because They Can.

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

Belief is one of the most powerful forces on earth; if not the most powerful.   This is because there are near eight billion people on this blue orb and they are intrinsically motivated to act upon what they consider as true.  This explains why those who control narratives can determine actual outcomes: because those with the loudest bullhorns, so to speak, decide what most people will perceive as true in any certain place at any given time. And let’s face it:  Most people are just plain gullible. Advertising works because people want to believe.  Even more, they need to believe.

And therein lies the rub behind the COVID deception.  For most folks, verifiable facts do not matter to them. Neither does logic or reason.  This is why most minds will not be changed regarding COVID and all it entails, or all that ensues. Maybe it is primarily fear that is blinding the masses. Or it could be that most Americans are cognitively lazy, no longer free-thinking or liberty-minded, and many are just, simply, not that bright.
