Modern Meanderings in the Fire’s Light

By Doug “Uncola” Lynn via TheBurningPlatform.com

For the most part, I’ve lost interest in the news.  Ukraine war?  Don’t care. Lost submarine? Yawn. Pride Month? Good luck with that. Canadian wildfires? So what.  Russian civil war?  Whatever. Elections? Been there, done that.

I believe it was French Philosopher Voltaire who defined “cynicism” as armor against despair, but, honestly, it’s not that. On the contrary, I am enjoying life more than ever and my days are meaningful and well-spent.

One year ago, I wrote about helping a former business associate by driving a dumptruck a few days a week.  In that moderately metaphorical article, entitled “Building Roads While the World Wilts”, I described my perception of America’s remaining attributes, particularly, out here in the “fringe” and mentioned how people “here on the edge seem to be ignoring The Borg”, then wondered…. “For how long?”

Now an entire year has gone by… and in spite of all the new headlines… very little has changed in my world. So far.

But if a Russian nuke goes “boom”, things will surely get drastic and dire pretty quick, right? Or if the stock and bond markets catastrophically sink or the internet goes dark, these events won’t be ignored anywhere – even in rural America and flyover country.

Moreover, what happens when cash disappears and all transactions become exclusively digital?

It’s probably just a matter of time.

Regardless, I’ve had some good days and nights with family, friends, business partners, coworkers, and new acquaintances this summer … around fires… out on the water… in a volunteering capacity, and on the job.  Yes, I’m helping out with the dumptruck again this summer, but in an even more limited capacity; and, once again, to acquire something I want.

After all, working hard is the American way; for some of us, that is.

Raised in a small and isolated rural town, I grew up surrounded by industrious, hard-working families. My closest neighbors included the county veterinarian, the hardware store owner, lumber yard owner, and the publisher of our local paper.  Additionally, some of my friends and relatives lived on farms, ranches, and acreages, all of them with livestock, and I helped them when asked.

In a similar fashion, the dumptruck town reminds me of where I grew up, albeit slightly smaller, not nearly as picturesque, and minus the Camelot charm.  The dumptruck town is, in fact, a plain little community of nearly 2,000+ people situated on the intersection of two highways 15 miles south of a 30,000+ population city.

The Plain Little Town is quite industrious, however.  It is a busy place, indeed, and a very tight-knit community. The folks there do business locally with each other and they work to serve their town’s interests first and foremost. Like in my hometown, many of the family businesses in the Plain Little Community go back generations and the modern descendants of the early founders and entrepreneurs still do business with each other … in lieu of collaborating with other companies located elsewhere.

Like the beloved village of my youth, and consistent with a typical Ayn Rand novel, most of the businesses in the Plain Little Town include a family surname in the company name. Although the names are primarily of Anglo, Irish, German, and Italian descent, the family names have stayed relevant through several successive generations; mainly because the respective families are proud of their vocations and their growth and accomplishments through the decades.

Since I first became aware of the Plain Little Town after I moved into the area many years ago, I watched the businesses there expand and modernize as they have grown to serve customers in larger and larger concentric circles throughout the region.

The excavation company for whom I help by driving the dumptruck began in the 1940s as a small plumbing business. The company has since installed thousands of septic tanks throughout the entire state while serving the plumbing needs of as many households in the region.

When working at any respective locations in, or near, the Plain Little Town, most of the local employees will patronize the downtown grocery store-turned-caterer for lunch.  The locals consistently order their food from there because it is delicious and healthy; much of it provided by nearby farms, orchards, and local dairies.

The grocery store/caterer has had the same surname in its signage for decades because the founder’s descendants continue to take pride in their profession. When the family decided to build a new cold storage unit on a portion of their parking lot, it was yours truly who helped to haul away the old concrete and dirt before back-hauling in new rock for the new foundation.

The local car dealer has the family surname in its company’s name, too, and the business has grown to sell more cars than its competitors located in the surrounding larger cities. When this car dealer needed to add a new “quick-lube” center last summer, the main dumptruck I drive was used again there.  Subsequently, when I rode by that car dealership last winter, I saw several plumbing trucks parked outside. The drivers of those trucks were, obviously, installing the fixtures in the new facility and it was no surprise to see the same name on those plumbing trucks as was on the dumptruck I used for the new building’s excavation.

These family-owned companies have earned their reputations.  Their last names are on their businesses because their promises are as good as those who make them. They have earned the ability to serve their community… and each other.

Through the years, the car dealer, grocery store owner, and my former business associate (who owns the dumptrucks), have purchased surrounding lands and developed entire neighborhoods which now contain scores of modern homes; new constructions predominately built by local contractors from the Plain Little Town.

A few weeks ago, I was asked to haul a freshly-excavated load of old concrete to a new location where I had not been before. The proposed dump spot was within the Plain Little Town’s city limits and the guy in the excavator gave me directions.  He said:   “Cross the bridge on the old highway and look for the abandoned legion hall. Back down the drive and around to the clearing and then wait for Cameron. I’ll have him meet you over there and he can show you where to dump”.

So I found the place and backed in from the old highway, down a slight hill, through a couple of narrow tree-lined curves, past a few narrow open metal gates, and onto an old dirt path that led into what appeared to be a scene from a Mad Max movie.

There were old dilapidated buildings, semi-trailers… including a silver fuel tanker that was burnt completely black, broken-down abandoned vehicles, piles of old tires, and pretty much everything else including a few kitchen sinks.

Cameron was one of the grunts I worked with last summer who has since been promoted.  He’s a handsome and polite young guy in his early twenties and when he appeared in one of the company’s four-wheel-drive trucks, he told me they’ve been developing the location since early spring.  It had been used as a junkyard for many years, but now it was being developed by the car dealer, grocery store owner, and my business associate who owned the excavation company that we both were working for that day.

As we stood under the early-morning sun, I marveled at the apocalyptical scene and said to him:  “We’re kind of lucky, ya know?”  He asked “why” and I replied:  “Because no young kid ever looked up to his Dad and said: ‘Hey Dad, when I grow up, I want to work in a CUBICLE!’“  He laughed and then we backed the dumptruck up for another three-quarters-mile to where the concrete was to be dumped.  Cameron said after the area was loaded with the old concrete from the various road projects, they were going to have it all ground up on location and used in the development of the property.

A short time later, after a few more runs, I figured out a way to drive in forward and turn around at the dump location.  Overall, I’ll just say it was a blast driving that dumptruck down the old dirt path and dumping concrete all day long.  Although it was a grindfest, and slightly dangerous, it was pretty darn fun.

While I drove in and out through the gates, I thought about my friend who owned the company.  He was the perfect guy to restore and develop that area.  If he needed to lay some rock into the low-lying and muddy segments along the dirt path, no problem, he had dumptrucks for that.  When they were ready to tear down the old buildings and dispose of all of the junk, before moving the land to accommodate future homes, it would be quite doable – because his trucks, trailers, excavators, dozers, and end-loaders were ready to go.

My friend’s family business earns money while serving the needs of the community. The family has worked very hard through the years and they have acquired the means and reputation to make positive change.

Of course, this is the American Way as I observe it most everywhere I go.  Recently, I spent some time in a resort area where family-owned marinas have sold and maintained boats for generations; where developers and contractors have built amazing communities; and where local grocery stores, restaurants, and businesses still thrive.

The generations before us are gone. But we, the living, remain.  And some of America still works… in sublime and astonishing ways.

Soon, we, too, will be gone.  And for what did we live?

There are people all over America whose promises can still be trusted, and whose actions benefit others.  These folks work hard every day – even as magicians like Klaus Schwab, and other wizards in the World Economic Forum, seek to conjure deception in order to dominate and control mankind.

Admittedly, and although I hate to be a pessimist, I don’t believe the financially-elite parasites can be stopped. They have the financial means, the power, and, most importantly, the time each day to secretly knit together their new world order.

Most diligent Americans have no genuine understanding of the political machinations behind the headlines. They are too busy at work to speculate anyway; even as the fire shines on us all.

Like fire, technology can warm and burn depending upon who harnesses its power.  Yet the sun still shines and the spirit of liberty will never be extinguished… especially in the darkest of times.

Happy Birthday, America.  Another year has gone by and you still have your moments.

I too have mostly lost interest in the news. Because why bother? The high-level picture has been made obvious for everyone who cares to see it, and there is nothing I can realistically do to change anything. I now just mostly browse headlines, looking for whatever the next big thing TPTB will announce and also keeping track of which locations may be better to move to when my present county (and likely the entire state) eventually succumbs to NWO pressure.

News fatigue is by design, the less interested people are in what’s going on in the world, the more TPTB can get away with. This technique is described in the 2016 Adam Curtis documentary Hypernormalisation. The BBC funded documentary is basically propaganda intended to normalise the future to come, however in doing so it details and exposes the social engineering techniques now in play today.

No problem, as I allude to above I find it difficult to recommend Adam Curtis’s work, he’s not telling you anything that the establishment doesn’t want you to know, at times it can be truth mixed with misdirection, it can still be insightful if watched with a wary scepticism.

Since the lockdowns ended here in Canada I’ve been in an IDGAF state of mind too. Toronto’s turned into a sh*thole, who just elected yet another communist mayor…don’t care…they deserve what they get…Trudeau just implemented another carbon tax…don’t care…the Toronto people will keep voting for him no matter what…my suburban town continues to build row after row of ugly townhouses and town council is being filled with new residents of town and mostly people not born in Canada…don’t care, we’re leaving anyway.

We’re focused on finding that rural acreage out west, and up north away from this noise and nonsense. We recently flew for the first time in years to check out what looked like a decent place only to find both the well and septic system require substantial remediation, which we were willing to take care of, but not for anywhere near the price the sellers were looking for.

We returned home empty handed, but did locate a number of Plain Little Towns we’d be happy to live near while we were west, so we have more places to focus our home search in. We were struck by how there was no graffiti in these Plain Little Towns, and people we encountered were friendly, polite and helpful. It was such a change from the ugliness and rudeness that is common in our Toronto area suburb. I can’t wait to GTFO of Ontario and fade into the countryside.

Where are you looking? BC, Alberta?

Prices out here are insane. Basically everything rural is 2-3X what it was 5 years ago. I keep thinking it can’t be sustained, but somehow it seems to be holding at these prices. Though I don’t think there is much volume trading.

I am looking to get rid of my place in the Thompson Valley, but when I look around I can’t find anything suitable to replace it.

AB. It’s Canada’s last best hope at freedom. BC was communist before that was acceptable here and the real estate prices there are worse than Toronto, so hard pass. Where we live houses regularly sell for 7 figures, so we hope to cash out, buy a much cheaper place out west and fade into the wilderness, eventually Going Galt, and contributing nothing to TPTB running Canada into the ground.

We were looking initially in NB and NS, but their governments were worse than Ford in Ontario during covid, which you wouldn’t think was possible, but here we are. Plus way too many GTA suburb people who vote Liberal cashed out during covid and moved east…so F them…they’ll ruin the east coast just like they’ve ruined the Greater Toronto Area they left.

Went Galt long ago myself.

Agree Alberta is last hope, but that is only one election away from being F’ed up.

I’m looking in Alberta too, but not finding much of interest. Been spoiled here for a long time.

Also been looking at Gulf Island properties. Can’t beat the climate and can kind of disappear on some of the smaller islands.

Good luck.

Thank you Doug (?)/ Mr. Uncola,

I see our most difficult task to be finding the balance between cynicism and skepticism.
I escaped the big shitty 23 years ago. Live 17 miles from podunk shitberg of 2000 souls, two miles off the pavement. Worked my ass off all my life, spent the last 20 self employed. Say what you do and do what you say, all you ever bring to the table is your word, reputation and your hand shake .
My beautiful Mrs. L passed two days ago. I’m still here and blessed to have what time I did with the love of my life. Most folks think I’m racist cuz I drop the dreaded “N” work on occasion, I’m NOT! I endeavor to take each human one at a time. It is up to every individual how they present themselves, how you walk speak, dress, etc. I will judge you based on experience and MY judgement.
Niggers come in all colors, and so do all good people .

Peace, L.

Thank you again for the community here at TBP. It helps to not feel alone.

A born skeptic here. Finding the right balance between skepticism and cynicism is easy. The skeptic observes, asks questions, and makes assessments. Sometimes the assessment directs you to go with the flow; other times it directs you to be more assertive, more challenging, more protective of what is dear to you. Call that cynicism if you want, but it really is just another layer of protective shield needed in an increasingly uncaring and deceptive world. Cynicism is brought about by the massive lack of trust in all things that surround us; use it to your advantage for self preservation and then shed it when you find your desired normalcy.

Well, Doug is living in the moment, the present, and that has many advantages…You can do that, however, and still follow current events if they interest you…I think we are living in an historic time when the American Empire (a mistake pointed out by Mark Twain) is collapsing in classic fashion, through elite greed, perversion of values, war, and madness…See Sir John Glubb’s work for further details…I don’t think I can stop that collapse, which is necessary and probably inevitable, but I want to help my family and friends survive it, if possible…..

I copied that exact quote too to completely disagree with any chance of success.

Yes, the parasites can’t be stopped from trying, but they will never succeed in getting all 300+ million American monkeys under one roof of rules and order, and way for sure not 8 billion.

Yes, the parasites sure can and probably will continue to kill dissenters galore, wipe out countless pockets of 1000’s of homes and farms in floods, hurricanes and fires, stage a gazillion more gun psyops, fabricate more backfiring medical danger threats and guilt trips, continue to try to sodom and gomorrah everyones’ minds through media, steal elections, force digital currency and spend spend spend that money to try to get it to all line up – and it WON’T EVER for the same reasons their big domino push/all in blindside of trying to use CV to cripple the whole system long enough to fail and kill off enough monkeys too failed.

Too many smart people, too many guns, too many uncageable people with guns, family, kids and morals.

They can’t disorient/disrupt/destroy/pull the rug out from under millions of non-parasitic people to the degree necessary to get that control because when you wield the hammer that far the non-parasites realize there’s nothing left to lose and they get very motivated and resilient. I’m not in the least worried enough of the masses will concede to that very dark NWO.

If I die today, I have lived plenty and no great loss. If a 20yo dies today, they have been severely short-changed. Also, I lived during what I think was height of civilized human existence. To me, the future looks likely to be a shitty dystopian nightmare.

It would seem the conservative news is heading into the vacuum left by the liberals as they scurry even farther to the left. I browse lightly through TBP occasionally but have now devoted most of my time to family, church and a hobby. Passed up voting the last time around as there is no way to tell how you really voted on a programmable electronic machine. It appears to me in my Bible that the devil’s crowd will remain in charge until Revelation chapter 18 where they will be destroyed permanently. Anyhow, the changes made have changed my disdain for this world into a large pile of joy and happiness. I now look forward to each day, except the ones with doctors appointments. Also Rev 18:23 talks about magic spells/sorcery used by “world’s most important people” (NIV version) to lead the nations astray. The Greek of magic/sorcery is Pharmakia.

Isn’t that interesting?

Thank you for that article, Unc. Aside from all the doom and gloom broadcast from every corner, there is still an America left. But it is shrinking along with us.

I take food deliveries; when the CONVID “plandates” hit, mine was considered an essential job. (Or, well, if it was not, I just did it anyway and nobody stopped me, just like when it came to wearing masks.) So many people were grateful, not just for the food, but to actually interact with another honest-to-God human being. This was especially true with older folks; like children, they were hit hard with CONVID segregation; so I tried to always say hello, that I hoped they were well, and God bless.

And then it dawned on me: it was me who was being blessed. If I had not believed there was still good in this world, or at the very least, still good in the people in it, I would have cheated myself. The best thing I ever did was to help others in need, at a time when I needed others.

We cannot ever let them take that away from us. That would be tragic. Our independence has made this the only way I want to live. We cannot accept anything less.

Give ’em time , bruh. The Bolsheviks are hard at work making it impossible for not only small, family owned business to survive, but for the individual as well. Apparently they want us dead or herded into collectivist work camps a la’ old soviet style industry wherein you work where you live , and those conditions were none to pleasant, but this too shall pass. Because one of my companies is involved in global trade, you should know that the EPA is considering a new rule that would effectively ban the importation of chemical fertilizers and chemicals necessary for the refinement of petroleum products. Those chemical compounds were banned trom production in the US during the Obama Administration. In essence, mass food production will end in the United States, as will gas production.

You do not have to take my word for it. Read the Federal Register Vol. 88, No. 117.

The current Administration is looking to devastate that which you once called the United States of America.

I live in “Plain Little Town”, a mountain community 30 miles away as a crow flies from the nearest city and even here I can see the cancer starting to take hold. I’ve come to understand it’s not some nefariouse organization of powerful men causing the rot, it’s average people. Average people are the cancer cells that spread throughout the host and finally consume it. I see these people everyday, they’re the mental midget progressives who make it their duty to impose idiocracy or self-deprecation on the community in which they live. Your community is the nail and they’re the hammer.
Nature in it’s raw simplicity is what I use to keep me grounded. It reminds me of how finite I really am in her brutal but enduring economy.

Have you chosen to be exploited, enslaved, controlled and manipulated by a cruel and evil system or are you above the frey? Nope, it’s a falling away from God. It’s people doing what is right in their own eyes and allowing themselves to be exploited, enslaved, controlled and manipulated by a cruel and evil system through the catalysist of pure self indulgence. There is no political cure for a spiritual sickness. The truth can be a bitter pill to swallow for some.
The story of Sodom and Gomorrah is telling for times such as these.

Its not strictly capitalism , though capitalism can be the vehicle for it . It is “entitlement ” , which falls into the ” pride “category as opposed to the” humility” category .What if everyone had the attitude that they didn’t ” deserve ” anything outside of a chance to create something of worth ? An attitude of gratitude is what you get when you are coming from a place of humility rather than pride and entitlement . I do agree though , everyone is being driven mad by the false promise of free and easy wealth ( money ) . How many umpteen trillion of fiat has been pumped into our economy over say the last 20 or so years ?People never consider how it might have deliterious spiritual / mental effects on society . To me it seems obvious . And yet nobody ( within the” based “, “red pilled “sphere of intellectual discourse )really goes into detail thinking on, opining on , or building their thesis around it as an explanation or partail explanation for the mass psychosis formation that we are seeing ? Perhaps , even though I may not write well or articulate my thoughts well or in a compelling manner , I nonetheless may have an uncanny ability to see the roots of problems ? Nah , just messin with ya !!!!!!!

Great article, Uncola! Hubs and I feel very much the same way. We bought a little piece of Arkansas December 2021 and this is the best place I have ever lived in my 55 years. The church down the dirt road from our home has the most lovely, friendly people I have ever met in my life.

We are learning lots every day, dealing with dairy goats, chickens(hope they will be laying by summer’s end) and 4 turkeys. We put in some fruit trees, berry bushes, a long raised bed garden. We have so many projects in mind that we will not have time to be bored for several years.

I have learned to cook much better meals. I have learned to make sourdough bread and chevre cheese from the goat’s milk, they are so good together. Our small herd had 2 baby goats this spring and they are the cutest animals I have ever seen. Every day, there are chores to do to care for the animals and the orchard/garden.

It has gotten quite warm lately, couple of 100 degree days and very high humidity, so we are trying to do more things early morning and late night. We had the most amazing hail storm a couple of weeks ago. Hubs was out extending some electric fencing we use for the goats when the rain started.

I yelled to him to get under the goat shelter and watched a wave of hail pour over the tree line where he was. The hail was larger than a baseball and took over an hour to melt away. A fog was over the pasture while the hail melted. Luckily, we didn’t have any major damage.

We did loose electricity for 24 hours. I had just put in dinner and the oven, of course, shut off. We thought we would go out to eat but all the roads were blocked by downed trees and a power line.

Our church down the road lost a very big tree that had a colony of bees. The tree broke off about 30 feet up. Two limbs had some of the hive inside them. We had taken some bee management classes last year with the intention of building some bee hives and catching wild swarms. So we suited up and went to look at the bees. Unfortunately, the hive in the tree was in too many pieces for the bees to stay. The part of the hive where the queen raises the brood was under one of limbs. She was probably killed.

We did not get a single sting. The bees that were around the limbs were taking the honey they could reach. This is called “robbing”. We cut as much of the old comb out of the limbs and I am melting it in the sun to render out the bees wax. We did find some comb with honey but wax moth larvae had gotten there first and it was now useless. We will use some of the old, dark comb to lure some bees to the hive I bought.

The electricity came back on at 5pm the next night. Being able to cook dinner and have AC again was very nice. We did not know that in the garage where our freezer was located, there was a GFIC outlet that had tripped. Hubs went to get some meat from the freezer a week later to find out the freezer had not been on. Luckily, there was not much meat inside, about $100 worth. Wow, what a stench.

So we cleaned out the freezer and brought it in the house, something we had talked about doing but had not yet done. There are a lot of things we want to do. The doing is a lot of hot, sweaty work. I am learning to be patient with myself. I take breaks and cool off. Then go back and do some more.

There have been a lot of minor “emergencies” that we need to take care of right at that moment. I lost a turkey pullet in the long grass that took a bit to find. The goats need their hooves trimmed about every 2 weeks. That job is pretty sweaty, especially the 2 year old buck, who weighs 180pds and does not fit in the milk stand. The dog brought me 4 baby bunnies one morning so I tried to nurse them back to health. Only one survived to be released. I feed the bunny goats milk twice a day and gave it clover and hay to eat. We turned it loose behind our church into the big pasture.

Hubs put off brush hog mowing the pastures until last week only to find out the back tires of the tractor needed to be replaced. Gets that taken care of and hits a tree hard enough to bend a front tire rim. He is learning how to work on this tractor, lots of sweat.

The two month old doeling is looking very nice, really good confirmation and we are thinking of showing her at next spring’s goat show in Little Rock. Well, there is a lot to learn in order to show a goat, including training the goat to poise and walk on a show chain.

We are very busy dealing with this little piece of ground and the projects we would like to do. We are blessed and thankful for this time. The world will go as it will and I think we will be more able to handle whatever comes our way better than before we moved here. I have learned that I can make mistakes and fix them and the world didn’t end. My farmer’s tan is great! I am tougher than I knew and growing stronger every day. Thank you, God, for your continuing blessing on our home and small farm.

Maybe these small town communities will provide the means to retain the remnants in the future as shown by history?
https://crushlimbraw.blogspot.com/2019/10/wedapeople-vs.html?m=0
If I had all the answers I’d be lying, but I had to start somewhere – http://www.crushlimbraw.com/ – it’s a work in progress and with the grace of Almighty God, we’ll git’er’done – or our descendants will. There are many others as well – most of whom we’ll never meet or know – but they’re out there!
“Expect to meet resistance and ridicule, often from your family and friends. It comes with the territory.”
All I promise is ‘blood, sweat and tears’! At worst – whoever survives will be here to pick up the pieces!
And what I’ve also learned is that throughout biblical history there has always been a remnant for God which survives all calamities and continues to build Christendom – “The USA is now divided into a New World remnant of Christendom and the stronghold of Satandom. The latter wishes to conquer and destroy the former because it is a separate nation that worships the god of this world rather than God the Father of Jesus Christ.” – Vox Day
Remember, Elijah – when he thought he was alone – was reminded by God that there were 7000 who did not bend the knee to Baal.
We’re not alone!

Read through the replies after the article, wondered if Uncola remembers that the USA used to be a Christian country.
We as a nation have turned away from God.
The Holy Ghost makes the non believers incapable of seeing the truth.
We have a farm to live on, a church to attend and a good community to live in.
So much to be thankful for.

Resorting to Stuckytalk …. it appears that Uncola has …….. Zero Fucks To Give.

Nevertheless, it also seems he has a multitude of reasons to live life productively. I’m happy for him, truly.

I have reached absolute zero fucks to give this past year. Everything you read (MSM TV, etc) is a damned lie. The country is full of corrupt people of all kinds, not just POS politicians. We live in Klown World. A farce. A joke, a bad joke. I don’t give a shit about ANY of it … not even sports, not even my formerly beloved IU Hoosier basketball team. So, yeah … fukit. Fukitall.

What do I live for? A good book, pool, and a good night’s sleep where I don’t shit in my pants. In other words, I have a fairly meaningless life. Well, fukit, it is what it is. One nice thing about not giving a flying fuck about anything is that it also includes no fear of The Great Beyond. Bring it on bitchezz!! Oh, I ain’t afraid of dying Lord, it’s the living that scares me to death.

Peace. errr, RIP.

Yep, f’d up. The thing is “the nature of the beast”. Mom and pop “grow” and get to thinking bigger and bigger so that in essence they become Amazon like. Granted Amazon has its fingers in everything. I actually have a decent “free” e-mail service. I’ve yet to see spam. However at the top of the inbox is often an ad for amazon, perhaps others as well, I don’t open them. Amazon was advertising some reasonably priced 5800 btu window ACs. Prices got stupid on window units and still are from “lockdown” days. Amazons was a brand I’ve never heard of course but about $148 as I recall. Point is Amazon is everywhere….capitalism but of course corporatocracy in the mix. In essence it works the same way at the local level, some grant for this that and the other and a local business wins the “bid”. “Hey, you know Joe has that business…”

Interesting story. Only comment I have about “development” is rooftops. People have to live somewhere. Hopefully they don’t bring with them that from which they came, perhaps the throngs of corporate chain businesses. It’s inevitable however, the more populated the more reason to build a new Lowes, Home Depot, McDonalds etc.

“Admittedly, and although I hate to be a pessimist, I don’t believe the financially-elite parasites can be stopped.”

Unkla, I want to give you, and others here and there a solution to Corp America doubling down in the face of massive boycotts. Yes, seems hopeless but my idea WILL work. It depends on the People on both sides and if they can look beyond their narcissism on the Left and Right to flip the tables on Blackrock, VG and Central Banks. I have written many articles on our world and its problems, esp the financial tyranny that awaits us. I have come to the conclusion that, like you, we are near the end game but I am sick of letting people with money take our lives away. Here is how we win. It starts with power we don’t even know we have: Individuals in America, not govts or Pension fund managers, own the majority of American Stocks.

The answer to this dillema is to flip the table on the WEF and ESG Atheists, esp MSM kept afloat by the Too Big Bankers. First, Blackrock and VH are money managers – they own NOTHING so their financial power that pushes corps Woke comes mainly from us with our stocks owned in our retirement accounts.   CBs own some stocks now,  but nothing compared to the WOKE pushing money managers, like Fink.
Taking away their damn power is easy.  Sell ALL your mutual and index stocks.   What would happen besides you saving your cash?
The equity values of Woke Corps and the big Bank they want us in would plummet.   Then, with your cash buy unwoke stocks individually or in non-woke funds or companies in the bottom quartile for ESG scores.  If your retirement acct manager wont allow, buy money market or anything else but US Stocks managed by the big managers. Buy NO trad mutual or index funds.  Ever.  Then, move your money from the huge Too Big to Fail banks to small Regionals where they will be the new powerhouses. We need to quit our online nonsense complaining and commenting ad nauseum which does NOTHING.

Yep, the market will go south like maybe never before but the price of letting Fink and the rest have their way with us is an infinitely more dangerous future. I am sure many on TBP will say this won’t work because Americans won’t do what is needed. They may be right. But then again, there is no other answer. And if you have a better plan other than hiding in the woods or on the oceans, let’s hear it.

WE HAVE THE POWER.  CC THIS AND SEND TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW STILL IN THE US STOCK MARKET IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM.

TR4,

I’m with you. I’ve been out of the market for years. There is power in what you say. It appears Bud Light may have lost 25% of their market. Even so, 75% is business as usual.

You acknowledge this as follows:

I am sure many on TBP will say this won’t work because Americans won’t do what is needed. They may be right. But then again, there is no other answer.

And I wrote the following in my article above:

Most diligent Americans have no genuine understanding of the political machinations behind the headlines. They are too busy at work to speculate anyway

Therein lies the rub.
