If you go to https://www.naturalreaders.com/ and try out the Davis character, that’s the voice behind this video. Guess someone didn’t want to narrate his own video (can’t blame him, I don’t like hearing the sound of my own voice recorded either). There are better alternatives, like https://elevenlabs.io/voice-library, some really awesome voices there that sound a bit more natural. And they have a free tier. Though the free tier is limited, it still would have been enough to get the above video done.
I’m currently working on a few videos myself and using text-to-speech for the voiceover. One thing I wouldn’t do is leave the chemical abbreviations in place and have the TTS narrator say those, I’d have the voice say the actual names of the chemicals. A real person narrating is unlikely to say the abbreviations. And I’d listen to it and re-record places that don’t sound consistent or natural.
Some stuff to keep in mind if you produce videos and want to use AI-generated speakers for voiceover. Better might be to just find an actual person to narrate.
That video is missing one very key point that needs to be said. Every 7ish years the batteries need to be completely changed out depending on the miles driven in those 7 years. The current cost of replacing them is 15 to 16 thousand dollars or close to double the cost of changing out the engine and transmission of a gas powered vehicle. Can you imagine having an EV for 5 years and wanting to sell it?

Interesting. My car is nine years old, and I average 11k miles per year. My max range has dropped from 280 to 235 in that time. Its not good for long distance travel, but its fine for city driving. I know other people with EVs as well. I don’t know anyone that has had to change their batteries.

The large ocean eruption in South Pacific sending tons of water vapor into the air, and The Ethical Sceptic idea of warming oceans due to Earth core changes and heat transfer. When an underwater volcano in Tonga erupted in January, it belched out more than ash and volcanic gases; it also spewed 58,000 Olympic-size swimming pools’ worth of water vapor into Earth’s atmosphere, a new study finds.
This water vapor could end up being the most destructive part of theΒ volcano’s eruption because it could potentially exacerbateΒ global warmingΒ and deplete theΒ ozoneΒ layer, according to the study.Β

There are a couple large REA electric utilities in Colorado; we are “members” of one. Our recent bill had a newsletter entirely devoted to EVs. We were told all the good stuff and particularly the fact that the utility has installed the first of many charging stations. The cost for members who use the charging stations and sign up early will be 12 cents/kwhr; 15 cents otherwise. Non-members will pay 40 cents. Nowhere do they mention any of the problems with EVs, like the loss of range during extreme weather, fires, etc. Their monthly shilling leads to only one conclusion: they are getting paid handsomely to push this shit, just like the ethanol scam back in bush 2’s reign.
