Hunting and gathering don’t work when there’s 300 million people trying to do the same thing on your patch. It’s called carrying capacity.
Farming doesn’t work when there’s nomadic, hungry, raiding hordes to deal with.
Hide and try to get through the die off with your stores, is my advice. Likely worth about what you’re paying for it.
Those 300 million hunter/gatherers are going to die off in great numbers and quite quickly and dramatically I would add. Many will turn immediately to cannibalism. They will all have to be culled.
