STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND

“Thinking doesn’t pay. Just makes you discontented with what you see around you.”Robert A. Heinlein, Stranger in a Strange Land

“A hard, cold wisdom is required for goodness to accomplish good. Goodness without wisdom always accomplishes evil.” – Robert A. Heinlein, Stranger in a Strange Land

I guess I think too much, because I’m terribly discontented with what I see around me. There are millions of virtue signaling liberals in this country who actually believe they are doing good by supporting the invasion of our country by third worlders who don’t share our sense of morality, community, or civic obligation to future generations. They certainly do not display wisdom in this misguided belief these invaders will strengthen the social fabric of our country. Instead they display unmitigated ignorance regarding the fact these Soros imported mutts want to destroy the country we have worked so hard to create. Destruction, chaos, and civil discord is the goal of those unleashing this assault upon our ramparts.

Pep Talk on a Dark Day

Guest Post by Jim Kunstler

“We live in an age of full spectrum deception.”Edward Dowd

You realize, don’t you, that what’s going on in our country is the collapse not just of an empire, or an economy, but a comprehensive paradigm of human progress. The hallmark of post-war life in Western Civ was supposed to be a return to sanity after the mid-twentieth century fugue of mass psychotic violence. The wish for just and rational order was not entirely pretense. But that was then. Now that we are going medieval on ourselves, the not-so-ironic result will be our literally going medieval, sinking back into a pre-modern existence of darkness, superstition, and penury, grubbing for a mere subsistence in the shadow of scuffling hobgoblins, our achievements lost and forgotten.

Cars Used to Make Us Happy

Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts

I attended a classic car show recently and realized why my generation was so happy compared to the current ones. Cars in those days were beautiful and the muscle car element had glorious sounds. Beginning in 1954 but especially with the advent of the 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air coup and Ford Fairlane coup you were looking at beauty enhanced by two-tone paint jobs. Some were a combination of pastels. Others were combinations of strong colors–red and black, yellow and black, red and white, and some were a combination of a strong color and a pastel–navy blue and French blue, pink and black.

In 1955 Chevrolet brought back the V-8 for its cars, and it was a performer. A stock ’55 Chevy V-8 was a match for our souped up 1950 Ford flatheads. What you could do to that 55 Chevy V-8 was something else.

Biden Considering Bringing Some Refugees From Gaza To The US

Via ZeroHedge

With scenes like this spreading across the country, as standoffs at various liberal campuses turn increasingly more violent…

… the Biden administration appears to have gotten its Soros marching orders to pour gasoline into the fire, with CBS reporting that the White House is considering bringing “certain Palestinians” to the U.S. as refugees, a move that would offer a permanent safe haven to some of those fleeing war-torn Gaza, and would also drastically escalate what has already been the 2024 equivalent of the 2020 BLM summer of violence, only this time with spoiled, rich Marxist kids pretending they live in the 1960s and their actions can stop the war in Vietnam Middle East.

The Steady Slide Towards Tyranny: How Freedom Dies from A to Z

Guest Post by John W. Whitehead

“As I look at America today, I am not afraid to say that I am afraid.”—Former presidential advisor Bertram Gross

The American governmental scheme is sliding ever closer towards a pervasive authoritarianism.

The American people, the permanent underclass in America, have allowed themselves to be so distracted and divided that they have failed to notice the building blocks of tyranny being laid down right under their noses by the architects of the Deep State.

This steady slide towards tyranny, meted out by militarized local and federal police and legalistic bureaucrats, has been carried forward by each successive president over the past fifty years regardless of their political affiliation.

Biden, Trump, Obama, Bush, Clinton: they have all been complicit in carrying out the Deep State’s agenda.

Trump-RFK Vaccine War Finally Erupts

Via Armageddon Prose

Once upon a time, before his administration had been largely co-opted by the Deep State via strategically placed plants like Jared Kushner, Mike Pompeo, etc., Trump had reportedly taken an active interest in recruiting RFK Jr. as the chairman of a vaccine safety commission.

Via Politico, January 2017 (emphasis added):

President-elect Donald Trump has asked Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a major source of disproved theories imputing harm to vaccines, to chair a ‘commission on vaccine safety and scientific integrity,’ Kennedy told reporters after a meeting in Trump Tower on Tuesday.

Kennedy, who said he accepted the assignment, has been insisting for over a decade that traces of mercury in a preservative formerly used in childhood vaccines caused a massive increase in autism diagnoses. He has clung to the theory despite overwhelming scientific evidence to the contrary.

Later in the day, however, Trump appeared to be backing off Kennedy’s report. In a statement released by the transition team, Trump said he ‘enjoyed his discussion’ with Kennedy and was ‘exploring the possibility of forming a committee on Autism, which affects many families; however no decisions have been made at this time.’”

How does your state rank in terms of encouraging legal gun ownership? Our results are surprising! We took into account the current gun laws, current legislators’ past voting history, 2A-centric taxes, and more to bring you this comprehensive list for 2024.

Ranking Factors: What Did We Measure?

There is a philosophical divide which underpins debate on legal gun ownership in the U.S. To understand that divide, it’s useful to keep one key metric in mind: Civilians possess an estimated 433 million guns in the U.S., according to the NSSF. How many of those guns are legally owned vs. illegally owned isn’t clearly defined yet how lawmakers calibrate their efforts to uphold the rights codified in our Bill of Rights and promote public safety must start with that metric in mind.

Editor’s Note: People, this stealth legislation is a bad as it gets.  Here’s why:

“The first thing the communists did at the start of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution was to pass a law against criticizing Jews”

There’s obviously a HUGE difference between 1917 and 2024.

Their Victory is Not Set in Stone

Here is the Premier of Australia, which has become such a hotbed of censorship efforts of late, opining that it is the “responsibility” of social media platforms to suppress “misinformation.”

He specifically lauds taking down memes of him with his face superimposed onto other images.

Being a certain sort of cat, this put me into a certain sort of mindset.

Piggy Sooy? USDA Approves Plan to Genetically Modify Soybeans to Produce ‘Plant-Grown’ Pig Protein

Guest Post by Brenda Baletti, Ph.D.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) this month approved a biotech firm’s plan to genetically engineer soybeans to produce a “plant-grown” meat protein the company calls Piggy Sooy.

Luxembourg-based Moolec Science is genetically modifying soybeans to produce porcine myoglobin, a pig protein. The end product is a “blended meat,” which is part plant, part animal.

The company, a subsidiary of the Argentine biotech group Bioceres, is also developing a yellow pea plant that produces beef protein.

Moolec’s patented technology — which the company calls molecular farming — splices pig genes into a conventional soybean. The resulting soybeans are a pink fleshy color inside and the company claims they contain 26.6% animal protein.

Tucker Carlson releases interview with Russian philosopher Aleksandr Dugin

Via RT

They discussed ‘new liberalism’ and its role in the fate of Western civilization

American journalist Tucker Carlson has released a 20-minute interview with high-profile Russian philosopher and political commentator Aleksandr Dugin. The conversation was published on Carlson’s YouTube channel on Monday.

Dugin has been described by Western media as ‘Putin’s brain’ due to his supposed influence on the Russian president and the influence of his work on the country’s elite in general.

A fervent critic of the West and foreign policy hawk, Dugin passionately supports Russia’s military operation against Kiev, and has stated that an independent Ukrainian state “should not exist.”

The Unmaking of a Conservative

If a Conservative is a Liberal mugged by reality, as the famous quip goes, then a Reactionary is a Conservative mugged by reality.

My first introduction to politics was listening to Sean Hannity and talk radio with my Father, a simpler time before reality had mugged this young and eager conservative. Not content to merely be a spectator in the bloodsport of politics, the first political rally I attended was at the age of 15 during the contentious amnesty debates of 2006. Out of this movement grew the Tea Party, and I watched in real time as grifters, conmen, charlatans, & frauds continually steered well-intentioned Americans into political dead ends; a trend which has only increased in recent years. Despite my growing disillusionment with the American Empire upon my return from Afghanistan, my engagement with conservative and “right-leaning” politics continued. I still earnestly believed, despite observing a decade of the GOP’s utter fecklessness and abject lies, that the principles which were espoused by those within much of the movement were noble and just.
