Jonathan Haidt has been gong on about this for the last couple of years. You can see him on Joe Rogan Experience, or Dave Rubin if you care to but the advantage of this talk at Penn State is that he had to prepare it for presentation to a university audience. He had to have slides and he had to show data. They expected it. The disadvantage of this particular presentation is that the AV was run by the students, and they really weren’t very good at it. So I apologize for the wonky AV, but the message is there. If you find the time to watch this, you will be able to confront those communists that you love to hate. You will be armed with knowledge.

You might like Queen. You might hate Queen. You can have your own reasons for your opinion, and it is perfectly valid for you. But there is a reality out there which is totally independent of our opinions and there are people who work all their lives to divine the true nature of that reality.
And then, there is Brian May. Or perhaps I should say Dr. Brian May because he now has his PhD in Astrophysics. He abandoned his study of space dust when Queen hit big and he and his buds had to tour the world doing concerts to sold out stadiums. He became, I am sure, quite wealthy and in the end, done with the career in music, he returned to astrophysics and published his thesis.
But if it is, and obviously I suspect that in Sadist Kahn’s world it most certainly would be, then Britain is lost.

Police have finally tracked down and arrested a fugitive who kept an “attack squirrel” caged and hopped up on methamphetamine at his house for protection, according to the NY Post.
The man, identified as 35 year old Mickey Paulk, was arrested on Thursday after authorities caught him leaving a hotel in a stolen ambulance. Paulk eventually rammed into an investigator’s vehicle after a short chase and was arrested.

I was perusing a post from Bill Blain on Zero Hedge this morning at he was discussing the shenanigans that were likely going on in Osaka. That’s not what interested me. What amazed me was the group photo.
I know he is British. I know he is discussing things about Brexit. You might think that you don’t care. Believe me, you most certainly do care. Everything that he rails against is happening here today. Everything that he warns against is facing us down as well. Everything that he suggests as a palliative against the evil that is raising in the world is directly applicable here. Your guns won’t save you. Your vote is all you have. There is a constant battle in your very own neighborhood that goes on under your noses. It is part of the fabric of your life that you probably see, but don’t think about. The squirrels in your yard must fight each day to protect their territory from other squirrels. They fight because your yard has more food, better trees, and that fight establishes a more or less even distribution of squirrels across the landscape. That will happen whether you live in a city, a town, or out in the middle of nowhere.
