GRADUALLY, THEN SUDDENLY

“How did you go bankrupt?” Two ways. Gradually, then suddenly.”
― Ernest Hemingway, The Sun Also Rises

Gradually, then suddenly”: How the Protecting Our Democracy Act addresses institutional decay | ACS

“I do not say that democracy has been more pernicious on the whole, and in the long run, than monarchy or aristocracy. Democracy has never been and never can be so durable as aristocracy or monarchy; but while it lasts, it is more bloody than either. Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide. It is in vain to say that democracy is less vain, less proud, less selfish, less ambitious, or less avaricious than aristocracy or monarchy. It is not true, in fact, and nowhere appears in history. Those passions are the same in all men, under all forms of simple government, and when unchecked, produce the same effects of fraud, violence, and cruelty.” – John Adams

Hemingway’s famous quote about going bankrupt connects with so many because it is true on a personal basis and a civilization basis. It applies to individuals and empires in decline – like the American democracy. John Adams realized two centuries ago democracy was no better than monarchy or aristocracy over the long haul. We were handed a Republic by Franklin and his fellow revolutionaries, but we failed to keep it almost from the very birth of this nation.

As we rush towards our World War 3 rendezvous with destiny, aided and abetted by politicians placed in power by globalist billionaires hellbent on the destruction of our way of life, so they own everything and you own nothing, I can’t help but ponder who is to blame and could we have avoided this dystopian outcome.

TBP BLACKBALLED AGAIN

“Great is truth, but still greater, from a practical point of view, is silence about truth. By simply not mentioning certain subjects… totalitarian propagandists have influenced opinion much more effectively than they could have by the most eloquent denunciations.”Aldous Huxley

Google Responds To DuckDuckGo's Claims Of Bias With Personalization

It’s not like I haven’t faced this same censorship/blackballing before. Amazon, Google Adsense, and a dozen other ad companies have banned TBP, because we tell the truth and don’t buy into the government establishment false narratives.

But now it is Search Engines and my few remaining ad companies turning the screws on TBP. The site was humming on all cylinders. Daily page views were at all-time highs. From November through February, the average daily page views was 42,500. Ad revenue, which has its ups and downs, was near the top end of the range. Last year, I only needed to do one TBP Beg-a-Thon to ask for donations, and that led to us beating our goal.

We know not what we do

Guest Post by Alex Berenson

By July, 98 percent of British adults had coronavirus antibodies, mostly through vaccination. Yet 35,000 Britons since then have died of COVID. Nearly all were jabbed. Now cases are soaring again.

It is time to face reality.

If Britain is the future of the coronavirus in highly mRNA vaccinated countries, the future is bleak.

Britain authorized Pfizer’s mRNA Covid vaccine even before the United States. It vaccinated against Covid faster than any other advanced country except Israel.

The results have been worse than unpromising.

Last week, Chris Whitty, England’s chief medical officer, warned the coronavirus would remain a public health threat “for the rest of our lives.” This assessment is far grimmer than any that American officials have made, at least publicly. But Britain is now facing yet another wave of Covid infections and deaths – its fourth, or fifth, or sixth, depending on who’s counting.

Dismissing Whitty as a fearmonger would be easy. In much of 2020 and 2021, he pushed lockdowns and offered regular predictions of doom.

But even a stopped hysteric can be right twice a day. And Whitty’s assessment is actually much darker than one he made in mid-December – when he predicted that “each six months [going forward] will be better than the last six months.”

This graph of the last year of Covid deaths in Britain explains why Whitty is no longer optimistic:

The Coming False Flag – Chemical Weapons?

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

The greatest fear I have is that Zelensky will be desperate to create a fake attack on his own people like everyone else has done to push their agenda. It would not be unexpected if the Ukrainians/West stage a FALSE FLAG and kill their own to get NATO and our real madman Biden to enter World War III. At Maidan, the snipers killing protesters were from the buildings occupied by the protesters. But Victoria Nuland told them unless the deaths reach 100, the US would not act. The snipers killed exactly 100 people and there is footage of Ukrainians leading the people to the very spot where they were targeted.

Asia’s Autocrats Are Calling, Mr. Biden

Guest Post by Pat Buchanan

Asia's Autocrats Are Calling, Mr. Biden

While President Joe Biden was in Brussels and Warsaw showing U.S. solidarity with Ukraine, the 38-year-old autocrat who rules North Korea made a bold bid for the president’s attention.

For the first time since 2017, Kim Jong Un test-fired an intercontinental ballistic missile, the Hwasong-17, the largest road-mobile missile ever launched.

While it flew 600 miles from Pyongyang into the Sea of Japan, the mammoth missile flew for 71 minutes, reaching an altitude of 3,852 miles.

Had it been fired in a normal trajectory, its missile warheads could have reached Washington, D.C., and every city in the USA.

Humilitainment: How to Control the Citizenry Through Reality TV Distractions

Guest Post by John W. Whitehead

Big Brother does not watch us, by his choice. We watch him, by ours…. When a population becomes distracted by trivia, when cultural life is redefined as a perpetual round of entertainments, when serious public conversation becomes a form of baby-talk, when, in short, a people become an audience, and their public business a vaudeville act, then a nation finds itself at risk; culture-death is a clear possibility.”—Professor Neil Postman

Once again, the programming has changed.

Like clockwork, the wall-to-wall news coverage of the latest crisis has shifted gears.

We have gone from COVID-19 lockdowns to Trump-Biden election drama to the Russia-Ukraine crisis to the Ketanji Brown Jackson confirmation hearings to Will Smith’s on-camera assault of comedian Chris Rock at the Academy Awards Ceremony.

The distractions, distortions, and political theater just keep coming.

The ongoing reality show that is life in the American police state feeds the citizenry’s voracious appetite for titillating, soap opera drama.

Much like the fabricated universe in Peter Weir’s 1998 film The Truman Show, in which a man’s life is the basis for an elaborately staged television show aimed at selling products and procuring ratings, the political scene in the United States has devolved over the years into a carefully calibrated exercise in how to manipulate, polarize, propagandize and control a population.

Gold, Rubles and the Ripple Effect

Via Neon Revolt on Gab

I don’t think people realized what just happened over the past few days, so I’m going to try to explain what I’m seeing:

The Russian central bank pegged 1 gram of gold to 5000 Rubles (currently, about 50 bucks).

At the same time, Putin made it so that Russian gas and oil can only be purchased in Rubles.

Meaning: Putin basically just pegged Russian oil and gas to gold, using paper rubles as a proxy.

THIS WEEK’S EDITORIAL

RUSSIA MAKES COUPON PAYMENTS:  It was reported last week that Russia made coupon payments due on its bonds issued to foreign investors, most of whom were US based. This is a very important step. Nations who default do not honor their bond payments. Thus, Russia has demonstrated that it is a reliable financial partner, even during a very challenging Geopolitical crisis and while the US is seizing offshore Russian assets and banning Russian banks from the SWIFT payment system.

RUSSIA STRIKES:  Russia took another decisive step last week. They insisted that payments for Russian natural gas supplies by unfriendly customer nations must be settled in Rubles, instead of with Euros and US Dollars. Austria was stunned and reportedly said something like “this is very confusing”.

LEAVE THOSE KIDS ALONE!

Guest Post by Alex Berenson

Moderna wants to sell mRNA shots for children that barely lowered Covid infections and caused 15 percent of kids to spike fevers

I wish this were a joke, but it isn’t.

Moderna plans to ask the Food and Drug Administration to authorize its mRNA jabs for infants as young as six months.

The company this morning released partial results from a clinical trial of its shots in 6,700 children up to six years old. The trial showed the mRNA jabs had little benefit in reducing Covid infections and caused fevers in many children, including fevers of more than 104 degrees in a handful.

Moderna claimed in a press release it believes the shots might reduce the risk of severe Covid in young children. But the trial showed nothing of the sort. No children in it had severe Covid, so the company could not evaluate whether the shots actually will have meaningful benefit against serious illness. Continue reading “LEAVE THOSE KIDS ALONE!”

Ukraine Adopts WEF Proposals

Via Armstrong Economics

Zelensky has just signed into law the first steps of Schwab’s Great Reset. He announced he is introducing a Social Credit Application combining Universal Basic Income (UBI), a Digital Identity & a Vaccine Passport all within their Diia app. He also says that because so much money is coming into Ukraine as he has become an international celebrity, he has legalized cryptocurrencies in Ukraine. He will allow foreign and Ukrainian cryptocurrencies exchanges to operate legally, according to the country’s Ministry of Digital Transformation. Continue reading “Ukraine Adopts WEF Proposals”

Safe and Effective?

Guest Post by Dr. Robert Malone

What the smallpox vaccine can teach us.

With the reveal that the objectivity of the CDC (and US HHS) has become both politicized by the executive branch and compromised by the pharmaceutical industry, we have to come to terms with living in a world in which we can no longer take governmental public health pronouncements as gospel truth. Those of us who are thinking for ourselves (and our children) now need to make personal assessments and decisions about COVID-19 vaccines, and then booster vaccination, and then boosters again. As we all assess the advice of HHS, CDC, NIAID, Dr. Fauci, White House Advisor Dr. Francis Collins, the Surgeon General, the FDA, and of course Pfizer, let’s briefly revisit what many consider to be history’s most effective vaccine: the smallpox vaccine produced from variola.
