Be Aware And Not There! National Day of Rage July 15th, 2016

Via the Feral Irishman

The hacktivist group Anonymous is now calling for nationwide Day of Rage protests on Friday, July 15th. The video below promotes the protests.

(WARNING: There is some disturbing and graphic violence in this video):

[About 5 ½ minutes; it isn’t necessary to watch it for purposes of the warning being given].

Use this as a list of places NOT to be on Friday the 15th. While the video by Anonymous does specify non-violence and denounces the actions taken against police officers that were not involved in these deaths, with the tagline “Day of Rage” I think it’s safe to expect emotions to be running very high on both sides of the line. No matter how great your empathy might be for those who have unjustly lost their lives, these protests are not safe places to be.

These are the locations and times for the protests:

Changing the World, Slowly

Changing the World, Slowly

ChangingWorld

Those of us who have seen beyond the noise and confusion of the present world system tend to become urgent about other people seeing the same things. And while this impulse may be understandable, it’s not realistic. By refusing to let go of it, we frustrate ourselves and subvert our efforts to help others.

It makes no sense to sprint when the race is actually a marathon.

The Hurry-Up Method Doesn’t Work

First of all, the “accept everything I say right now” method spawns bitter intellectual battles, requiring people to say, “You’re right and I’m wrong; the foundation of my life is stupid.” People won’t do that, and demanding it turns us into intellectual bullies.

Second, people change in steps, not all at once. And those who do change all at once usually are unstable people who will change in a different direction soon enough.

Third, the demand for fast change drives us into totalitarianism. The only fast way to get everyone to live our way is to force them… which is why hardened ideologues always love a strongman ruler – he can force everyone to do as they wish.

Finally, the demand for instant change – followed by continual rejections of that demand – spawns an “us against them” mindset. And that leads to all sorts of dark places.

The Powers That Be are playing with fire.

Guest post by Robert Goreat Straight Line Logic

Five words are important now: failure, exposure, rejection, repression, and war. The status quo has failed on multiple fronts. Its failures and corruption are being exposed, its governance and legitimacy questioned and rejected. The response is all too predictable: repression at home, war abroad. The Clintons represent the toxic confluence, the maelstrom’s vortex, and Hillary Clinton will press the powers’ response.

Anything but free market economics is a redistributive shell game with a sell-by date. Government debt, spending, and programs, redistribution, and central bank debt monetization and interest rate suppression have passed their expiration, leaving mountains of IOUs that will never be repaid and prostrate economies in the first thralls of a deflationary contraction that will be one for the ages. Particular rancid: illusory, credit-based wealth has gone to a small, well-connected coterie who access microscopic interest rates for financial engineering and speculative fun and games. Left behind: honest producers and savers, who have seen their incomes shrink and the economy wither.

GOD HELPS THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES

Guest Post by Hardscrabble Farmer

I came in from mowing hay at 9:30 last night- just enough light left in the sky that I wouldn’t run anything over. My wife had a bowl of greens sitting on the kitchen island for me and I was so hungry I ate standing up, literally shoveling the food into my mouth. That ended the work part of a 17 hour day.

My oldest son and I spoke on the phone about his day- he is currently working his way around America- this past month he has been doing butchery with a Mennonite family that processes beef and pork commercially. He told me that the work day is 10 hours, the owner reminds him of me because there are no breaks, twenty minutes for lunch, but a steady and continuous pace interspersed with lively conversation about a wide variety of topics and a good sense of humor.

He was offered- and took- extra work off the books cleaning out an industrial freezer on Sunday and has been offered other side jobs as well because he has a good work ethic. He sounded happy, I know he is proud of himself for the respect these people give him and while most of his contemporaries are slowly building up a mountain of debt for four years before they even hit the job market, he is learning new skill sets while being paid for it AND he gets to see his country first hand with only himself to take care of and look after. I don’t think it would ever occur to him to beg for something no matter how much he was in need.

The “Mystery” Of Who Is Pushing Stocks To All Time Highs Has Been Solved

Tyler Durden's picture

One conundrum stumping investors in recent months has been how, with investors pulling money out of equity funds (at last check for 17 consecutive weeks) at a pace that suggests a full-on flight to safety, as can be seen in the chart below which shows record fund outflows in the first half of the year – the fastest pace of withdrawals for any first half on record…

… are these same markets trading at all time highs?  We now have the answer.

Barak X

Guest post by the Zman

Way back in the olden thymes, there was a guy named Kurt Schmoke, who was the hottest thing in black politics since Martin Luther King. This was the late-70’s and early-80’s so most black politicians were like Jesse Jackson. Schmoke was different. He was charming and smart with credentials from the Ivy League. Most important, he was not standing on ghetto corners yelling about the honkies. Instead, he had moderate political views, worked in the legitimate economy as an attorney and he participated in mainstream politics. He was the sort of well-behaved black guy white liberals love.

Schmoke was supposed to be the example of how Progressive race polices would succeed. He went to public school, but got into Yale, went onto a Rhodes Scholarship and then Harvard Law School. This was how race policy was supposed to work. Given the opportunity to be free of white racism, blacks could rise to the very top of society and compete with whites. No one talked about affirmative action and it probably never played much of a role. Schmoke was a genuinely smart guy, but that did not stop white liberals from taking credit.

BLM vs. WHITES

Guest Post by Ol’ Remus at Woodpile Report

Last Thursday, a Sub-Saharan African American Person of Colour, allegedly acting alone, shot and killed four policemen and a transit officer, and wounded seven other officers and two civilians in Dallas Texas. Who didn’t see this coming? Black Lives Matter, at its core, is an anti-white criminal outfit. Their threats of violence and actual violence against “whitey’s police” and whites in general is standard guerilla warfare.

“Today, we live in a time when the white man will be picked off, and there’s nothing he can do about it. His day is up, his time is up,” warned King Noble, a radio host associated with the Black Lives Matter movement. “We will witness more executions and killing of white people and cops than we ever have before.”

Only an irredeemable fool would take King up on this, but Black Lives Matter supporters saw fit to make similar statements, albeit gentrified, before and after the Dallas massacre:

Will Hillary Ditch Black Lives Matter?

Guest Post by Patrick J. Buchanan

After the massacre of five Dallas cops, during a protest of police shootings of black men in Louisiana and Minnesota, President Obama said, “America is not as divided as some have suggested.”

Former D.C. Police Chief Charles Ramsey, an African-American, says we are “sitting on a powder keg.”

Put me down as agreeing with the president. For when a real powder keg blew in the ’60s, I was there. And this is not it.

In 1965, the Watts area of Los Angeles exploded in the worst racial violence since the New York draft riot of 1863 when Lincoln had to send in veterans of Gettysburg. After six days of looting, shooting and arson in LA, there were 34 dead, 1,000 injured, 4,000 arrested.

In 1967, Newark, New Jersey, and Detroit exploded, bringing out not only the Guard but the 82nd Airborne. After Dr. King was assassinated on April 4, 1968, a hundred American cities burst into flame.

Troops defended the White House. Marines mounted machine guns on the Capitol steps. Thousands of soldiers patrolled the city. The 7th and 14th street corridors of my hometown, D.C., were gutted and would not be rebuilt for years. That was a powder keg — that went off.

Don’t Just Blame The Cops: Who Is Responsible For America’s Killing Fields?

Submitted by John Whitehead via The Rutherford Institute,

“I could never again raise my voice against the violence of the oppressed in the ghettos without having first spoken clearly to the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today: my own government. For the sake of those boys, for the sake of this government, for the sake of the hundreds of thousands trembling under our violence, I cannot be silent.”—Martin Luther King Jr.

The latest shootings—in Texas, Minnesota, Louisiana, Illinois, New York, Missouri and every other state in the nation—are symptomatic of a psychotic outbreak by a nation that has been waging a war against its own citizens for too long.

We have long since passed the stage at which a government of wolves would give rise to a nation of sheep. As I point out in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, what we now have is a government of psychopaths that is actively breeding a nation of psychopathic killers.

We’re getting distracted, people.

Instead of focusing our ire on the architects of the American police state, who are responsible for turning the streets into mini-war zones, we’re getting distracted by the many voices eager to play the blame game by pointing their fingers at someone else.
