This Is Where I Get Off

Guest Post by Jeff Thomas

We began writing on the War on Cash some time ago, when it was still just a theoretical ploy that we believed banks and governments were likely to employ as their economic adventurism continued to unravel.

But, in the last year, several countries have, as a part of the War on Cash, begun removing larger bank notes from circulation in order to force people to perform all economic transactions through the banking system, assuring that the banks would gain total control over the movement of money.

Of course, the banks could not admit their true goal to the public. They instead used the governments to claim that the measure was being undertaken to restrict crime (money laundering, drug deals, black marketing, terrorism, etc.)

Recently, without any fanfare, ATM’s in Mexico have ceased issuing the 500 peso note US$24). The largest note is now the 200 peso note (US$10).

At about the same time, Citibank in Australia declared that it will no longer accept coins or banknotes.

MEANWHILE….IN AUSTRALIA

Police arrested seven people after anti-racism and anti-immigration protesters clashed in the southern Australian city of Melbourne on Saturday. Violence broke out between the two groups as they marched through the suburb of Coburg, with some using flag poles to hit each other. Hundreds of riot police, some on horseback, used capsicum spray to separate the over 500 protesters, some of whom were draped in Australian flags and had covered their faces.

FORE MATE

Looks like Llpoh moved to a country with a bunch of free shitters. They like their shrimp on the barbie and golf, but work not so much. You get more of what you incentivize. It’s really that simple. The poor guy who can’t work on Sundays because of golf has enough trouble already.

Jobs wanted in Australia – but not if they clash with golf

CANBERRA, Australia (AP) — The Australian government is tired of unemployed people declining a job because it may interfere with their golf plans or dreams of becoming an actor.

The government plans to tighten its rules on who qualifies for unemployment benefits to encourage the jobless — including some with creative excuses to stay off the job — to go to work.

“Australia’s income support system is there as a safety net for people who genuinely cannot find a job — not as an option for those who simply refuse to work,” Employment Minister Michaelia Cash said in a statement.

The penalty for refusing a job offer without a good excuse is eight weeks without a welfare check, but three out of four unemployed Australians who refused jobs last year managed to keep their checks. Australia’s jobless rate is 6 percent.

The Employment Department on Tuesday released samples of reasons job hunters have given for remaining unemployed. They include:

— A 58-year-old man was not prepared to work for three hours on Sundays because that was when he played golf.

— A 19-year-old man turned down a job “to follow his dream of becoming an actor.”

— A 26-year-old man refused a job because “he doesn’t work with chickens.”

— A 50-year-old woman declined a receptionist position because of a “bad smell” in the office.

— A 33-year-old man rejected car washing as “too difficult.”

— A 23-year-old man refused to become a driver’s assistant because he wanted to drive.

The basic unemployment benefit in Australia is 261.70 Australian dollars (about $190) a week. It’s higher for those with dependent children and in need of rent assistance.

The government wants to close a loophole that allows the unemployed to refuse jobs while continuing to collect a welfare checks, but the Senate is resisting the changes.

The opposition argues that the government already has the discretion to withhold checks from people without reasonable excuses for refusing to work. It says the government’s proposal would remove any discretion in cases where withholding the benefit could leave a person homeless or suffering other harm.

ON ASSAULT RIFLES

Guest post by B. Chandler from Australia

As a preface I will note that I was in high school in 1996 when our laws came down, and at that time owned no guns for anyone to pry from my cold, dead hands.

The common conception of how an assault weapon ban will pan out in America usually follows the same inscrutable logic. The Feds will ban the weapons and the citizens will revolt. Truth, Justice and the American way will be restored. The end.

I would offer an alternative. It’s less patriotic, there’s no swelling crescendo of “from sea to shining sea”, and there’s no happy ending. Thus it’s completely impossible. I offer it none-the-less.

After some run of the mill atrocity “that happens nowhere in the world but the USA” the Feds manage to pass a law banning “assault rifles”. There is a generous buyback included, paid for by the federal money spigot. They know only a few guns will be handed in initially so it’s more than affordable.

A thousand legal battles will be launched but they will take time to come to fruition and the government is not bound to wait until the result comes out in the wash.

A Little Gun History Lesson

Via Rense

* In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. This doesn’t include the 30 million ‘Uncle Joe’ starved to death in the Ukraine.

* In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

* Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, leaving a populace unable to defend itself against the Gestapo and SS. Hundreds of thousands died as a result.

* China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

* Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

* Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. The total dead are said to be 2-3 million.

* Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, 1-2 million ‘educated’ people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

* Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million at a bare minimum.

Australia Overthrows its Prime Minister in the Blink of an Eye

Abbott Tony

In Australia, we are seeing signs of political unrest. Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott has been a complete disaster. It is really a wonder how these people are elected and what goes through their minds. Abbott appears stunned by the swift pace of the challenge to his leadership. His collapse in the polls warned that he was off the mark, becoming an embarrassment for Australia as a nation on the world stage.

Essentially, for the past seven months following a no-confidence vote, Tony Abbott was overthrown this week in a leadership challenge from his popular former communications minister, Malcolm Turnbull, who won the Liberal Party vote 54-44 in Canberra just hours after declaring his leadership bid.

SATURNUS

This is the peak in government. During the fall of the Roman Empire, between 244 AD and 268 AD, there were 26 Roman Emperors within a period of 24 years. As the economy begins to turn down, we should expect to see this type of response within politics. This is the type of trend we are entering post-2015.75. This is what we should expect to see as people become disillusioned by government and confidence collapses.

Australia First to Introduce a Compulsory Tax on Money Itself

Abbott-Tony

The reason I moved the Solution Conference forward was due to the fact that all my sources behind the curtain were screaming from the four corners of the world that the new age of Economic Totalitarianism is upon us all. Australia will be the first to introduce a compulsory tax on savings. This is the ultimate Marxist state for now anyone with spare cash is the enemy of the Conservative Tony Abbott government. What I laid out at the Solution Conference is the ONLY way out of this nightmare. It is time for people to start spreading the word and get behind changing the game plan while we still have a game in play. We have to stop this confiscation of all wealth and the continual borrowing and taxation. This will lead to the total destruction of Western culture for we are plagued by power hungry insane politicians who cannot see past their nose.

The new compulsory control is already provided for in the 2015 Australian budget. So that everyone who has any savings must pay taxes on on their savings. The measure is expected to serve as a global test balloon for Europe and North America will watch the outcome in Australia. If there will be no massive resistance of Australian savers, the rest of the world should expect this outright confiscation very rapidly.

Tony Abbot has proven to be a real Marxist. He is taking the Australian people into the economic abyss from which only war and bloodshed can emerge. This is really Atlas Shrugged in high gear. The Abbot Government will introduce its draft budget for 2015 tax on savings and it will to announce this measure before the formal decision on the budget.
