CNN Suspends Chris Cuomo ‘Indefinitely’

Update (1835ET): CNN has suspended Chris Cuomo indefinitely following the release of new documents this week that reveal he leveraged media sources to help dig up dirt on his brother’s accusers.

“The New York Attorney General’s office released transcripts and exhibits Monday that shed new light on Chris Cuomo’s involvements in his brother’s defense. The documents, which we were not privy to before their public release, raise serious questions,” the network said in a Tuesday statement. “When Chris admitted to us that he had offered advice to his brother’s staff, he broke our rules and we acknowledged that publicly. But we also appreciated the unique position he was in and understood his need to put family first and job second. However, these documents point to a greater level of involvement in his brother’s efforts than we previously knew. As a result, we have suspended Chris indefinitely, pending further evaluation.”

Trump Orders Feds To Begin Process Of Defunding New York, Portland And Other “Lawless” Cities

The feud between Trump and liberal cities which encourage protests which seeking to defund the police escalated sharply on Wednesday, when the President ordered the federal government to begin the process of defunding New York City, Portland, Seattle and Washington, cities where officials allowed “lawless” protests and cut police budgets amid rising violent crime.

In a five-page memo sent to federal agencies on Wednesday whose subject is “Reviewing Funding to State and Local Government Recipients of Federal Funds That Are Permitting Anarchy, Violence, and Destruction in American Cities” and signed by Trump, the president orders them to report to the White House Office of Management and Budget on any funding that could be redirected. New York City, Portland, Seattle and even Washington, DC are among the initial targets of the measure.

CNN’s Chris Cuomo claimed Friday that President Donald Trump’s dedicated voting base was “mostly middle-aged angry white males.”

During a conversation about the possibility of impeachment, Cuomo wondered how the process would impact voters across the board.

“The trump base (mostly middle aged angry white males) are solidly behind him, but what about the burst of younger than boomers voters?” Cuomo tweeted. “Centrists? Independents? Will the process super-motivate the left? Of course this could just come down to doing the job congress must do.”
