With the revelation by an intel community “whistleblower” that President Donald Trump, in a congratulatory call to the new president of Ukraine, pushed him repeatedly to investigate the Joe Biden family connection to Ukrainian corruption, the cry “Impeach!” is being heard anew in the land.
But revisiting how this latest scandal came about, and how it has begun to unfold, it is a good bet that the principal casualty could be the former vice president. Consider:
In May 2016, Joe Biden, as Barack Obama’s designated point man on Ukraine, flew to Kiev to inform President Petro Poroshenko that a billion-dollar U.S. loan guarantee had been approved to enable Kiev to continue to service its mammoth debt.

Ruse 2: to deflect attention from the damage soon to be inflicted on the Deep State by the forthcoming DOJ Inspector General’s report on FISA court abuses. Ruse 3. To set in motion yet another obstruction of justice trap for Mr. Trump on the basis of false charges.

As George Orwell famously put in his book Animal Farm, “all animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others” which perfectly describes the American political elite.
Just take a look at former vice president Joe Biden’s niece who managed to avoid doing jail time for grand larceny over credit card theft. This would have landed anybody else without the right political connections in the iron bar hotel for a very long time.
Caroline Biden cut a plea deal with a Manhattan judge to repay $110,810.04 and do community service.

Is the Spectre of Trump Haunting Davos?

The lights are burning late in Davos tonight.
At the World Economic Forum, keynoter Joe Biden warned global elites that the unraveling of the middle class in America and Europe has provided “fertile terrain for reactionary politicians, demagogues peddling xenophobia, anti-immigration, nationalist, isolationist views.”
Evidence of a nationalist backlash, said Biden, may be seen in the third parties arising across Europe, and in the U.S. primaries.
But set aside Joe’s slurs — demagogues, xenophobia.
Who really belongs in the dock here? Who caused this crisis of political legitimacy now gripping the nations of the West?
Was it Donald Trump, who gives voice to the anger of those who believe themselves to have been betrayed? Or the elites who betrayed them?
Can that crowd at Davos not understand that it is despised because it is seen as having subordinated the interests of the nations and people in whose name it presumes to speak, to advance an agenda that serves, first and foremost, its own naked self-interest?

During his weekend press conference, Barack Obama doubled down on his demands for gun control following the tragic shootings in Oregon. But when pressed for specifics, he unsurprisingly doesn’t offer any of the “common sense” ideas which he claims would solve the problem of mass shootings.
Rather, he says he’ll just “talk about” the issue hoping to effect “political change.” In other words, he has no ideas and cares nothing about either lives or gun control, but cares a lot about further dividing Americans in time for next year’s elections.
Need further proof? Then consider the fact that Obama has had over 6 years to present his “common sense” ideas, and instead he’s given us this…

One of the previous ways Mr. Common Sense wanted to curtail gun violence was by having the DOJ give guns to Mexican drug cartels and then track what happened. Unsurprisingly, it turns out that the guns were used to kill hundreds of people, including U.S. border agent Brian Terry.
Also, following the Sandy Hook shootings, Obama tasked his most trusted associate with the job of coming up with bold, innovative new “common sense” gun control policies. Not that we actually remember him producing any…
