Ain’t no rest for the wicked
Money don’t grow on trees
I’ve got bills to pay
I’ve got mouths to feed..
…and I’m being squeezed by the government and major corporations.
Speaking of money don’t grow on trees, Michigan, coming off their stellar fiscal performance of having extra Obama bucks laying around on Sept 30, have rushed a couple bills recently through.
Bill number one mandates insurance companies HAVE to pay for Autism therapy and more treatments. I’m sure that won’t lead to any increases in our already completely unaffordable health insurance policies. Can you say nobody but government & Big 3 workers will be left with insurance soon? I knew you could.
Bill number two is the grand scheme of providing “higher” (soon to be even more worthless) education to EVERY Michigan grad. Woot! Woot! I can see the “high tech” jobs now. We, after spending trillions, adding to the tenure & pensions of college administration everywhere, will be awash in great jobs as the lowest mental denominator that can show up to school is gifted a brain!
Oh the joy, oh the jobs, oh the orgasmic delight of an entire state worth of brainiacs!
Or, as is more likely, tuition will continue to increase and outcomes will plummet. Because that is what always happens when the government makes something “free” and people that have no business in a class bring down the quality of education for all.
Even with the dumbed-down education value a higher degree brings with it today will seem stellar in a couple years.
Idiots, panderers, thieves and evil men are destroying everything that used to make us so damn great.
“He promises you civil liberty; he promises you equality; he promises you trade and wealth; he promises you a remission of taxes; he promises you reform… He shows you how to become as gods. Then he laughs and jokes with you, and gets intimate with you; he takes your hand, and gets his fingers between yours, and grasps them, and then you are his.”
The best way to destroy the capitalist system is to debauch the currency. By a continuing process of inflation, governments can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens. — John Maynard Keynes
