Very very nice.

How many slides would it take to chronicle all the lies we’ve been told just under the Oreo administration? 1,000? 10,000? Would we exceed Powerpoint’s number-of-slides limitation?

There are not enough lamp posts in this country to hang all of the lying politicians, bankers, public officials, military leaders, ET AL ! Fuck’em all !

The really sad and pathetic part is that the ‘sheeple’ keep believing these lies over and over and over again. How will this insanity end ? When will it end ?

I was listening to a crazy woman from Victorville (that my buddy Moon called ‘Victimville’) she said all the same stuff you read on TBP but she brought one little item into focus. She said, Obama is spreading illegal aliens around the country. I forget her words but the picture is one of blanketing the USA with illegals. What racist crap! But she’s Hispanic so maybe she’s right.

“They lied about 911” Oh come on! Any tin hat, conspiracy nut, Truther, who believes that is a certifiable Dumbass Person as so many here on TBP and elsewhere have said again and again. And as for IraQ, who can doubt Colin Powell, America’s greatest soldier since WW2, who warned us about the Towelhead Terrorist, Saddam Hussein. Saddam’s ‘nuclear weapon’ was abandoning the dollar for oil sales, an act far worse than his also trying to get nuclear weapons. Only a racist would attack General Powell. The Lusitania wasn’t the only ship sunk by the Hun before the US got into WW1 and the beasts killed many more Americans before Woodrow Wilson said ‘enough.’ The Germans then and again were out to conquer the world as many historians have shown. Any questioning of American motives in fighting for freedom and democracy is a defamation of American leaders and shows great disrespect for Americans killed while fighting for truth, justice, and the American way.

I think that in every case, over the last 100+ years, where the US has been dragged into a war we’ve fought for a good reason and the best motives.

If you want a book to read, look up “Overthrow” by Steven Kinzer. Not a lot of new concepts for most posters here probably, but it gives examples going all the way back to the Hawaiian monarchy. Long story short:

To the politicians, generals, businessmen, career charity-ists, and assorted “respectable” types, money matters more than morals.

The first big lie I remember is Bill Clinton :I did not sex with that woman. After that I was more suspicious of politicians. Now I don’t believe a word they say. Before Obama opens his mouth he is already lying.

Sometimes the misquote is better than the original line. Thanks, bb.

It isn’t just the lies about war. It’s the lies about everything. Honesty is the scarcest commodity in Washington, D.C.

So confused:

2011: Gallup’s Wednesday report finds that three-quarters of all Americans approve of Obama’s decision to withdraw troops from Iraq by the end of the year.

2014: Almost two-thirds of respondents in a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll believe it is in the nation’s interest to confront the group, known as ISIS and as ISIL, which has swept through Syria and northern Iraq.

Blame Clinton for the consolidation of the media ownership into 5 companies with interlocking boards of directors, many of which have ties to the military industrial complex.
This promotion of propaganda and bullshit is why Americans seem so stupid. It’s really not our neighbors fault; they believe what they’re told.

Bill Clinton, who bb and El Comandante slander, is accused of lying about having sex with or doing something else – it depends on your definition – with, who was it, Monica Lewinsky, Jennifer Flowers, some White House interns, trailer trash, or Webster Hubbell’s mistress? I forget now. Bill’s also accused of lying even when he didn’t need to lie.

I think you critical commenters need to reevaluate your definitions. Remember that we live in a country that has a living Constitution. That is, it means whatever those in power say it means. When words are defined, the same standard should apply. Those in power should make the rules. If B.O., HST, Slick Willy, Understand-Your-Man, and others say that American bombings of other countries and our invasions aren’t war, they’re right and you doubters and the dictionaries need to change your definitions to conform.

Oh, and as for sex, it ain’t what you thought it was when you were 15. You learned that over the years and any disbarred lawyer can tell you the same thing.

I didn’t slander Billy boy, in my mind, I know my intent.

So by your logic, the living bible also means whatever those in power say it means.
