THE DAY OBAMACARE DIED

Hospitals closing, doctors closing their offices and leaving town. People paying double or triple in insurance premiums and deductibles. More than 20 million to get free healthcare while people that work for a living can’t afford healthcare. Taxes, regulations, red tape, more power to the bureaucrats and administrators. And don’t forget, Congress, unions, and the government opted out of the nightmare known as Obamacare. And the great thing, the worst parts don’t even kick in until after the mid-term elections.

I seriously think the whole, “we won’t know what’s in it until we pass it” approach will be the downfall of the ACA. There are so many things that make no sense, that clearly weren’t thought through, that even lawmakers are choosing to ignore parts of the law or change it outright, as Obama has, many times.

Case in point: Obamacare requires all food establishments to put nutrition information on their meals so consumers can decide how to “eat healthy and not become obese.” Seriously. Just ignore study after study that shows when healthy items are available on a menu, or nutrition information provided, consumers actually choose unhealthier options. When those things are not present, people actually make better choices. I can cite references, if anyone’s interested.

Anyway, it now appears that stupid things like this are making lawmakers consider not enforcing parts of the bill.

Uproar over ObamaCare’s menu rules

Personally, I’d like an all-out repeal followed by something that makes more sense, like simply requiring insurers to sell policies regardless of existing conditions. That way the market could simply put a price on plans of all kinds — no plan cancellations because they don’t include some unnecessary coverage, like birth control for an elderly person. Catastrophic-only plans would be perfect for people who like to just pay cash when they go to a doctor. Young people could get affordable insurance without needing to foot the bill for older, more sickly patients. And those who really need the insurance could buy just what they need, even if it’s at a higher price… at least they could negotiate their own terms. People would have a choice again.

Instead, we have hospitals going out of business, people being refused treatment, doctors thinking of leaving the profession and jobs lost due to the employer mandate.

Law’s Impact Has Only Begun

T4C , I went to my doctor recently and ask the same question. He said a lot of them are black but
Not all. Some older white people are really confused and think its all free.He told me he was thinking about retirement just to get away from all the paperwork. He said it is very frustrating.

My podiatrist retired. I asked him what changes he saw in Obamacare. He said there will be a lot more amputations. To lower cost they are already amputating on young people.Where they used to do necessary surgeries to save a limb, they will no longer ,So be aware, and be prepared to pay out of pocket to save a limb of your child or a loved one..

There is a website set up by Organizing for America (Obama) that encourages people with good stories about signing up for Obiecare can write in to share them. When you start reading them you find that most come from newspapers, blogs or radio, don’t giive much info, seem to be mostly subsidized premium takers, and like this one, seem more like ads for Obamacare.

“Maggie Fernandez, 37, lost her health coverage when she was laid off from a job with Miami County earlier this year. She has started a small consulting firm but hasn’t been able to afford individual market insurance premiums of $900 per month. She stopped taking her blood pressure medication, saying it was too expensive at $130 for a 30-day supply. In December, she enrolled in a silver plan that costs $315 per month through the federal HealthCare.gov website serving 36 states, many of which are led by Republicans who refused to set up their own Obamacare marketplaces. Her medications now cost $4 apiece each month.”

Card, how is that single payer system going to work, pay what you can afford?

Who makes up the difference, the feds? They haven’t gotten the memo, they’re broke. It must have gotten hung up in interstellar space. Of course, the entire world is going to capitulate and continue to accept Washington’s IOU’s as payment for goods and services. Why shouldn’t they.

Then we can fund universal health care in perpetuity.

I still think the question CONUS should have asked themselves before embarking on a takeover of 16% of the economy, who IS going to pay for it. Even the US consumer is tapped out.

Good grief, Charlie Brown. Banksters getting knocked off, government drills resulting in real disasters, more government surveillance, not less, and in collusion with all major IT and telcos.

This conspiracy is getting hairy, grew legs, and is learning to walk.

On the other hand, economic hardship caused by the as yet unfixed GFC is resulting in civil unrest in far flung places of the globe.

Ponzi schemes tend to unravel quickly. This one has been centuries in the making, centered around monopoly of the world’s natural resources.

“For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.” (1 Corinthians 13:12, ESV)

A lie as been perpetrated against humanity, and that is that man is a means unto himself, resulting in the most base sorts of behavior, and without compassion.

Government overthrows in the 20th century resulted in god rejecting totalitarian governments, in Russia, China, and elsewhere. When the masses aren’t fed, due to corrupt government policies, they will revolt, and 15 dead in Kiev will pale by comparison.

Maybe Neil Young should write a song.

I know there was a big budget battle here in Maine a few years back… The governor refused to sign anything until something like four years of Mainecare bills got paid. Years!

uninsured, medicare patients, medicaid patients, state programs….
Is anyone paying their doctors bills!? How about the insurance companies… Are they paying?
