3 x 4 = 11

Moral relativism strikes again, or in the case, math relativism….common core insanity…..We’re doomed

Quick: what’s 3 x 4?

If you said 11 — or, hell, if you said 7, pi, or infinity squared — that’s just fine under the Common Core, the new national curriculum that the Obama administration will impose on American public school students this fall.

In a pretty amazing YouTube video, Amanda August, a curriculum coordinator in a suburb of Chicago called Grayslake, explains that getting the right answer in math just doesn’t matter as long as kids can explain the necessarily faulty reasoning they used to get to that wrong answer.

“Even if they said, ’3 x 4 was 11,’ if they were able to explain their reasoning and explain how they came up with their answer really in, umm, words and oral explanation, and they showed it in the picture but they just got the final number wrong, we’re really more focused on the how,” August says in the video.

When someone in the audience (presumably a parent, but it’s not certain) asks if teachers will be, you know, correcting students who don’t know rudimentary arithmetic instantly, August makes another meandering, longwinded statement.

“We want our students to compute correctly but the emphasis is really moving more towards the explanation, and the how, and the why, and ‘can I really talk through the procedures that I went through to get this answer,’” August details. “And not just knowing that it’s 12, but why is it 12? How do I know that?”

Now we’ll get kids that not can’t do math, they won’t know why they do it.

Picture yourself trying to explain the logic behind how you multiplied 3 X 4 and got 24. “Well, uhhhh, I split up the problem to make it easier to figger out. 1 X 4 is 4, 2 X 4 is 8 and 3 X 4 is 12. That adds up to 24, right??”

We are beyond doomed..

Bullshit! It’s called “tables” and we all memorized them in the 50s. There was no explanation or “procedure”, a student simply committed the tables to memory.

We are fucked!

These kids are too young tor philosphy. They need to memorize facts and build a knowledge base.

The other stupid stuff they now do in school is ask the students to write what they think about a certain subject (like global warming). Their opinions are worthless – since they have never studied the subject. And it gives the students the false impression that an uneducated opinion is worth something.

That Millennial teacher probably is in debt to the tune of $80,000 to a teachers college, that screwed up her mind!

Common Core is Hitler’s Youth, Only On a Global Scale.

The common denominator of socialism is the negation of the traditional family, with its honoring of the father’s authority. The negation of the father’s authority has to take place to initiate and sustain (preserve) the national (Fascist) or the global (Communist) cause of “peace.” Traditional communism (Traditional Marxism), which needed the Berlin wall, has only been defeated by transformational communism (Transformational Marxism), tearing down walls, where capitalism can only exist as it works with socialism, initiating and sustaining socialism on a global scale, all done in the socialist action (praxis) of negating the father’s authority, i.e. ‘liberating’ the children of the world from the father’s authority (from capitalism) for the sake of the children uniting as one (in socialism).

Common Core is simply the use of Bloom’s Taxonomies, a Marxist-Freudian curriculum, promoting Transformational Marxism in the classroom, being applied on a global scale, programing all the children of the world, i.e. citizens of the future, in Marxist ideology. Radical (Revolutionary) sounding? Yes. But that does not make it any the less true.

The common core to this ‘reasoning’ is that the Father’s authority is engendered by the father’s authority, i.e. by the children honoring their father’s authority, which inhibits or blocks socialism in any form. In the Common Core commercial, the workers at the top of the ladder are simply the happily workers of the world united as one, freed of Godly restraint in thought and action (in “theory and practice”), engendering a world of children loyal to the socialist cause only, with no “guilty conscience” (which is engendered by the father’s authority) in their praxis.

As Hitler’s youth, if you try to prevent them from having their way, they will do things to you that you never dreamed of. But then who would believe such a story. Certainly not the German citizens in the 30’s. We are soon to witness the affects of Common Core, as we witnessed the introduction of Bloom’s Taxonomies in the classrooms in the 50’s. Was not that a time of ‘change’ in this nation, when the father’s authority was called into question? “Question authority.” Things don’t just happen by accident. Yet as always happens, those who would warn you of such things are considered as over-reacting. But don’t say I didn’t warn you when Hitler’s youth come knocking on your door, fulfilling their socialist duty to “take care of you” for the “good” of the “community.”

If you are concerned about where we might be regarding this event. Take a look around you. Do you see any honoring of the father’s authority. That should tell you how far down the pathway of ‘change’ we have come.

For more on Common Core: What Common Core is all about. (pdf format) and The Key to Change.

Compare Obama’s youth (“Common Core” short for Communist Curriculum) with Hitler’s youth (YouTube presentations). While on the surface one is national and the other is global in appearance, they are both the same, i.e. ridding the world of the Father’s authority.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverb. 3: 5-6

That chick is right. Nobody actually gives a fuck if the millions spent on the systems I design result in process solutions that actually work according to expectations, all they care about is that I used proper judgment in coming up with the wrong specifications, calculations, assumptions or whatever. In the end, all my employer and customers care about is that I felt good about the result of my effort and deliberations and that whatever bullshit I could come up with in an attempt to explain my failure sounds reasonable.

This bullshit is moral relativism, in education form, which breeds communism. Anything you do is okay, as long as you can explain away why you did it. It’s okay to murder somebody, as long as you had a good reason to do so, and explain why you did it, and why it was the best thing for the collective. -AWD

well America might be a nation of dribbling imbeciles , but in the eyes of the state we’re all equal slobbering fools and thus treated as such, especially the young and impressionable.
We are all equal in out celebration of diversity…yeah , that’s the ticket.

http://dailycaller.com/2014/03/14/activists-at-u-m-trying-to-force-engineering-students-to-study-race-and-ethnicity/
A proposal, drafted by members of the Central Student Government, aims to reform the requirement that all students in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts study race and ethnicity before graduation. Moving forward, all students–even those in the Colleges of Engineering and Business — would be forced to take a class with a racial component, if the proposal were approved by faculty.

Sagar Lathia, president of the LSA Student Government, which is separate from CSG, supports the change. He told The Michigan Daily that students studying business and economics had just as much reason to take R&E classes as their peers in LSA.

It would be helpful for economics students to study “poverty, inequality and labor through the scope of race,” he suggested.

Activists hope that any proposal approved by the administration would assert identity-based themes — such as gender, sexuality, immigration status, religion and race — as a core focus of the curriculum at each of the university’s colleges.

The proposal is support by the Black Student Union, a race-based activist group at UM that recently made news for presenting a list of demands to the university. Administrators immediately caved to group’s most costly demand: a $300,000 renovation of the campus’s multicultural center. (RELATED: UMich meets demands of black students who threatened ‘physical action’)

BSU activist Shayla Scales said the proposal was all about creating more diversity.

“I truly believe innovation lies in the crevices of diversity,” she said in a statement. “Making sure that we incorporate diversity in all of our thinking and the way that we see the world will only lead to innovation.”

When will the Irish student unions demand recognition and discussion of the centuries of slavery in the new world under British rule?

The Irish Slave Trade – The Forgotten “White” Slaves
The Slaves That Time Forgot

The Irish slave trade began when James II sold 30,000 Irish prisoners as slaves to the New World. His Proclamation of 1625 required Irish political prisoners be sent overseas and sold to English settlers in the West Indies. By the mid 1600s, the Irish were the main slaves sold to Antigua and Montserrat. At that time, 70% of the total population of Montserrat were Irish slaves.

Ireland quickly became the biggest source of human livestock for English merchants. The majority of the early slaves to the New World were actually white.

From 1641 to 1652, over 500,000 Irish were killed by the English and another 300,000 were sold as slaves. Ireland’s population fell from about 1,500,000 to 600,000 in one single decade. Families were ripped apart as the British did not allow Irish dads to take their wives and children with them across the Atlantic. This led to a helpless population of homeless women and children. Britain’s solution was to auction them off as well.

During the 1650s, over 100,000 Irish children between the ages of 10 and 14 were taken from their parents and sold as slaves in the West Indies, Virginia and New England. In this decade, 52,000 Irish (mostly women and children) were sold to Barbados and Virginia. Another 30,000 Irish men and women were also transported and sold to the highest bidder. In 1656, Cromwell ordered that 2000 Irish children be taken to Jamaica and sold as slaves to English settlers.

Many people today will avoid calling the Irish slaves what they truly were: Slaves. They’ll come up with terms like “Indentured Servants” to describe what occurred to the Irish. However, in most cases from the 17th and 18th centuries, Irish slaves were nothing more than human cattle.

As an example, the African slave trade was just beginning during this same period. It is well recorded that African slaves, not tainted with the stain of the hated Catholic theology and more expensive to purchase, were often treated far better than their Irish counterparts.

As an example, the African slave trade was just beginning during this same period. It is well recorded that African slaves, not tainted with the stain of the hated Catholic theology and more expensive to purchase, were often treated far better than their Irish counterparts.

African slaves were very expensive during the late 1600s (50 Sterling). Irish slaves came cheap (no more than 5 Sterling). If a planter whipped or branded or beat an Irish slave to death, it was never a crime. A death was a monetary setback, but far cheaper than killing a more expensive African. The English masters quickly began breeding the Irish women for both their own personal pleasure and for greater profit. Children of slaves were themselves slaves, which increased the size of the master’s free workforce. Even if an Irish woman somehow obtained her freedom, her kids would remain slaves of her master. Thus, Irish moms, even with this new found emancipation, would seldom abandon their kids and would remain in servitude.

In time, the English thought of a better way to use these women (in many cases, girls as young as 12) to increase their market share: The settlers began to breed Irish women and girls with African men to produce slaves with a distinct complexion. These new “mulatto” slaves brought a higher price than Irish livestock and, likewise, enabled the settlers to save money rather than purchase new African slaves. This practice of interbreeding Irish females with African men went on for several decades and was so widespread that, in 1681, legislation was passed “forbidding the practice of mating Irish slave women to African slave men for the purpose of producing slaves for sale.” In short, it was stopped only because it interfered with the profits of a large slave transport company.

I think they have been using common core for awhile already. Went to a drag race over the weekend and the fine little youths working in the concession stand were showing me their math skills. One telling the other to take her time while she worked the calculator. Gave her $10 for a $2.75 item. A fucking calculator to figure that out. Surprised she got it right.

While I was at that race I was people watching also, I was really surprised I did not see any heart attacks while I was there. Tattoos are still the in thing I noticed. And you can put them anywhere, even on the top of your shaved head. Maybe people just quit looking in the mirror these days.

The invite made it clear white people were not invited.

The email read: “If you want to create space for white folks to meet and work on racism, white supremacy, and white privilege to better our campus community and yourselves, please feel free to do just that.

The people in DC can’t do math. So, of course they’re pushing standards where the peasants don’t know how to compute. We don’t want future generations to understand how much debt baby boomers left them with.

The DC lunatics are $17 trillion in the whole & have $200 trillion in unfunded liabilities. The pension system is unfunded by $4.4 trillion.

MATH doesn’t matter in the USSA anymore. Law, that doesn’t either when you’re rich.

I agree. The gov’t shouldn’t be involved in education.

If you have kids, you should pay for them to go to school. Or, teach them yourself. No 1 should have to pay property taxes for that. Property taxes are an un-Constitutional rippoff.

Absolutely, vouchers equate to differently named public schools. In Detroit, the voters approved a measure that required all charter school teachers to be union. Absolutely takes away any difference.

Meanwhile, our REPUBLICAN governor was the POS that signed Common Core into law in Michigan. In answer to your question AWD, I did not go to any of the (many) meetings to “discuss” Common Core. I studied the issue and contacted my reps and the guv, lotta good that does. I knew if I went my head would explode, or I would be physically removed and possibly arrested by the jackboots that stop any dissension in our “public” meetings.

We are witnessing the end of freedom through indoctrination and intentionally-created ineptness.

There is only one way to stop it, take back the raising and indoctrination of our children by their parents.

You don’t need two parents, or two parents of different sexes. You don’t need intact homes.

All you need is the willingness to spend time with your children, the ability to get them to enjoy learning from you and enough love and support to make sure they want to believe what you believe.

Those whom have a parental influence guiding and informing children, will have children that rise above the crop of morons the public school creates. I’m going to continue to believe that they will be able to forge out a decent life somewhere, even if all their former classmates weigh 300 pounds and are sitting on the couch waiting for the zombie apocalypse.

Fun times.
