Natural Approach to Weight Loss

Finally I know how to lose weight. If I just breath slower between bites of my Philly Cheesesteak, the pounds will melt away. Having a global warming and a fatty post on the same day may cause AWD to have a brain aneurism. I can’t wait for the flurry of fatty pictures to follow.

http://weightlosssupplementreviews.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/fast-weight-loss-tips-for-men.jpg

People can diet, work out, track their calories and do everything right—but still not lose weight. Most people are misled and told how easy it is to lose weight–just take this pill, follow that diet or buy this piece of equipment and the pounds will melt off.

Whenever anyone talks about weight loss, we usually get a fragmented picture of what is necessary to reduce the ever-increasing plague of obesity. Why is it so difficult to lose weight even when eating very little?

“If you haven’t been able to lose weight and you can’t understand why, you need to determine whether there’s a medical condition underlying your weight problem,” says Dr. Peter LePort. Dr. Rebecca Kurth, says, “When you live with anxiety, stress, or grief, your body can produce chemical substances — like the hormone cortisol — that make your body more likely to store fat, especially around the waist. If your thyroid is underactive, your body may not produce enough thyroid hormone to help burn stored fat. As a result, your metabolism is slower and you will store more fat than you burn — especially if you’re not physically active.” Dr. Ken Fujioka, says, “It’s very common for medications to cause weight gain.”

Humans are getting taller, fatter, and even living longer but not as healthy beings—as sick suffering beings. Being overweight is a disease. Obesity is a disease that happens before we get a potentially long list of other diseases starting with metabolic syndrome or dysmetabolic syndrome, formerly known as Syndrome X, and then diabetes, which eventually leads to vascular and heart disease and cancer. Metabolic syndrome is a combination of insulin resistance, leptin resistance, glucose intolerance, hypertension and high triglycerides. Obese people generally have hyperinsulinemia (high levels of insulin in the blood) and insulin is a fatty storage hormone.

Overweight and Obesity-Related Health Problems:

  • Coronary Heart Disease
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Stroke
  • Type 2 Diabetes
  • Abnormal Blood Fats
  • Metabolic Syndrome
  • Cancer
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Sleep Apnea
  • Obesity Hyperventilation Syndrome
  • Reproductive problems
  • Gallstones
  • Health problems in children and teens

If contemporary medicine does not address obesity in a more complete way there will be no way of stopping any of the epidemics in chronic disease. In the UK, the proportion of adults with a normal Body Mass Index (BMI) decreased between 1993 and 2012 from 41.0% to 32.1% among men and from 49.5% to 40.6 % among women.

There was a marked increase in the proportion of adults that were obese between 1993 and 2012 from 13.2 to 24.4 among men and from 16.4% to 25.1% among women. More than one-third of U.S. adults (34.9%) are obese according to information from the CDC.[1]

Since 1980, overweight rates have doubled among children and tripled among adolescents – increasing the number of years they are exposed to the health risks of obesity.

According to the New York City Department of Health, 43% of public elementary school students are overweight and 76% of New York City children are not getting the recommended five daily servings of fruit and vegetables. The CDC states that the primary behaviors causing the obesity epidemic are well known and preventable: physical inactivity and unhealthy diet.

According to a study published in the journal Lancet the number of overweight and obese people globally increased from 857 million in 1980 to 2.1 billion in 2013. This is one-third of the world’s population.[2]

Overweight people can be suffering from gross malnutrition because the nutritional values of the basic foods we eat have been steadily dropping for the last fifty years even as toxic exposures increase. Fiber intake tends to be much lower in obese people meaning they are eating too many processed white foods with not only the fiber removed but also most of the vitamins and minerals.

Magnesium and Weight Loss

White foods are poisonous and can never satisfy because they do not provide the basic nutrition, and especially the magnesium that the body desperately need. Obese people are suffering from malnutrition and specifically from massive magnesium deficiencies. Studies do show that the calorie-adjusted magnesium intake in obese children was lower compared with lean children. Hypomagnesaemia (serum magnesium 0.78 mmol/l) was present in 27% of healthy lean children and 55% of obese children.[3]

Dr. Carolyn Dean says, “Food craving and overeating can be simply a desire to continue eating past fullness because the body is, in fact, craving nutrients that are missing from processed food. You continue to eat empty calories that pack on the pounds but get you no further ahead in your nutrient requirements.”

Dr. Dean also said, “The stress chemical cortisol signals a metabolic shutdown that makes losing weight almost impossible. It’s as if the body feels it is under an attack such that it must hoard all its resources, including fat stores, and won’t let go of them under any inducement. Magnesium can effectively neutralize the effects,”

Another cause of magnesium deficiency is over-medicating with synthetic pharmaceutical drugs approved by the FDA and prescribed by doctors. They prevent the body from absorbing magnesium. It is a cruel reality that diabetics are prescribed medicines that further reduce their magnesium reserves putting them into a fatal tailspin. That is one of the basic reasons I consider the FDA to be one of the most appalling organizations in the world. They prey on sick people and make them sicker.

Vitamin D has co-factors that the body needs in order to utilize vitamin D properly. Magnesium is the most important co-factor for vitamin D. Researchers have shown that there is a connection between vitamin D and weight loss.

Correct Breathing and Higher Oxygen Levels are Crucial

Stress management is one of the most important keys in fighting obesity and slow abdominal breathing is important because it brings the oxygen levels up so more fat can be burned. People often wonder why they cannot lose weight and keep it off and one of the most central reasons is that they do not have enough oxygen. The lack of adequate oxygen and low metabolism will add pounds no matter what or how little we eat. Overweight people, like cancer patients, need to slow their breathing down, which will increase concentrations of carbon dioxide and oxygen in the blood. This can be accomplished with the use of a breathing training device called the Breathslim.

Exercise with Oxygen Therapy

Everyone knows how important exercise is for losing weight but few know that adding intensive oxygen while exercising cubes the results. Higher oxygen levels and higher carbon dioxide levels (created with exercise) lead to high metabolism. My book Anti-Inflammatory Oxygen Therapy explains why extra oxygen can help no matter what health challenge one is facing. Exercisers are less likely to die of their cancers than non-exercisers. The same medical principle is in operation with weight loss especially when you add oxygen to the mix.

Iodine and Metabolism is another Crucial Key

I just have to say it. The Natural Allopathic protocol is perfect for losing weight. Iodine and thyroid function is another important ingredient to a sane weightless program. An estimated 30 million Americans are thought to have difficulty losing weight because of thyroid problems and iodine deficiencies get in the way. If the thyroid, which is the primary regulator of your body’s metabolism does not function properly people will have an extraordinary time losing weight.

Conclusion

The Natural Allopathic Medicine protocol will assist anyone who is trying to lose weight and keep it off. Infrared treatments will also go a long way in helping to increase body temperature and metabolism, shifting the body to literally burn more calories. Moreover, with the BioMat one can do this even while one sleeps making weight loss easier and more comfortable. I would suggest those who are interested in weight loss read my essays on gastric diseases

Seriously it isnt that hard, and i am fucking tired of hearing about obesity being a disease. That mentality externalizes the issue, moves blame & responsibility away from the person and does exponentially more harm than good. Whenever i hear someone say that they are immediately discredited in my mind.

Here’s the solution:
Walk places, it relieves stress and is great exercise
Lift heavy things, stressing your muscles makes them stronger and burns fat
Eat real food, if you cant pronounce the ingredients it isnt food, its a chemistry experiment
Dont eat poison, mcshits, soda etc…
Dont sit on your ass so much.
That is all.

Nobody wants to lose weight. These techniques don’t work. People are stuffing themselves at buffets until they’re so fat they can’t walk anymore. Nobody is responsible for their own health, as somebody else pay for their healthcare and 12 meds and inhalers, since they can no longer breath anymore. The NIH says that 300,000 people die from Obesity every year, and nobody cares. As long as they can shovel food into their pieholes, and drink a 12 pack of coke on SNAP daily, and the boxes of candy gotten free on SNAP. Food stamps turns every single person into a fat fuck as they use their “benefits” all up every month. The government is killing off the FSA with SNAP, and 50 million people are on SNAP. Obama is killing off his majority voting block with food, while Mooch is starving people with her diet bullshit.

Gluttony is one of the seven deadly sins (ends in death for 300,000 Americans a year), but gluttony is honored and revered in the USSA, especially if you get SNAP benefits.

I was up in the mountains yesterday, I took a three and a half mile walk, slowly, from 6700 ft elevation, up to 7700 ft, and back down. If i could do that every day, I’d be as thin as I was when i got married, which was a whopping 155 pounds.

Medical condition, right.

How to tell if you’re too fat.

Men. Stand with your feet and back against the wall. Look down. If you can’t see your dick, stop eating until you can.

Women. Stand with your feet and back against the wall. With either hand touch your vagina. If you can’t do it without touching your stomach, stop eating or only black men will want you.

The only diet that works is the cold beer and ice cream diet. By consuming all that cold stuff you make the body burn tremendous amounts of energy (calories) just to warm the stuff up to body temperature before it can be digsted The more you consume, the more calories you burn..

Y’all getting a little sanctimonious, I think.

It appears that your comprehension of the English language is waning.

Dr. Sircus DID say that his points are directed to those who HAVE tried to lose weight in all the traditional ways. This has been fully documented in many studies with volunteers sequestered and their diet and exercise levels strictly controlled. The studies showed the factors that Dr. Sircus speaks about.

What he left out is that there are certain body types.

Look at marathoners. They will never attain Schwarzenegger status no matter HOW long they lift weights. Look at the Schwarzenegger types. You won’t see them doing sprints or even jogging.

Some people have the genetics of a gazelle some of a mountain gorilla. Body types are mesomorph, ectomorph and endomorph. The latter are the folks who have the hard time, no matter what they do. Add the conditions mentioned and weigh loss becomes impossible. http://www.superskinnyme.com/body-types.html

Then there’s something called, brown adipose tissue. That’s brown fat. Brown fat burns calories to keep you warm. Ever go out on a day with no sun and 60 degrees and you see that some are happy in a T-shirt and some have a fall jacket on? The T-shirt folks have lots of brown adipose tissue. They burn calories just by standing, let alone walking or jogging.

And OF COURSE, there are people who are just food junkies. They get high on the pleasure of eating. They don’t care about their appearance or their heath. They play the poor me game. You don’t have to be fat though, to be a hypochondriac or have mental health issues.

Those are not the folks that Dr. Sircus is speaking about. He is speaking about, and to, those who have honesty tried and he is trying to help them with possible strategies to improve their health.

Then there’s the food industry. Most folks, when they go to buy peanut butter, they think that it’s a healthy choice. It could be if there were JUST peanuts in the jar. But most PB is hydrogenated. That means that the peanut oil has been altered from an unsaturated fat to a synthetic, SATURATED fat. That’s why the oil never separates and it’s conveniently smooth, no matter if it’s been on the shelf for YEARS. Also, they add salt, SUGAR, palm oil, and other, unpronounceable ingredients.

The good news is that you CAN buy peanut butter that says on the label, PEANUTS, period. What a concept.

Why does the food industry do this? Because it “tastes better” and it extends shelf life. This is a simple example but look at your local supermarket. It typically has a small, area set aside for fruits, unprocessed meats and vegetables. Eighty percent of the store is loaded with packaged, processed food.

When Europeans come to North America, they’re amazed at the vast seas of packaged foods found in our stores.

The good news is that more supermarkets are catering to those aware of what they put in their mouths and offer organic foods and packaged foods that have just food with low levels of sugar and salt.

An anecdote. My one weakness is potato chips, I WILL eat that or popcorn while watching my favorite movie on my 59″ plasma TV. But I stopped the chips a long time ago because, to garner more market share, the chip makers kept upping the amount of salt they put in their chips. At one point a small handful and I’d had enough, my mouth burning from the salt. So, one day I called Lays and told them that I knew what game they were playing, that they salt the chips heavily so that people would consume more soft drinks, which they also make. I told them that it’s back firing, many people just STOP eating chips and thus consume very little pop.

Two months later, to my surprise, Lays came out with a low salt version, only half the salt of their standard fare. So these days, I enjoy a bag of chips and no, I can’t eat just one. Now, most chip makers have followed suit.

So these days, you do have choices.

But yes, there are those who don’t give a crap,,, well, they DO give a crap, LOTS of it.

Anon,

If fried foods give you trouble, it could be your gall bladder which stores bile, made by the liver, that digests fat. If your GB isn’t up to par, that fat don’t digest.

But you’re exactly right. We evolved on meat, fat and veggies, and fruit, for a short time IN SEASON. Carbs, especially simple carbs like sugar, fructose, glucose, (which they put in EVERYTHING) are the real culprit for many degenerative diseases, like atherosclerosis, diabetes, dementia and Alzheimers.

They are now realizing that heart disease is NOT caused by too much animal fats but CARBS, and even refined grains like white flour. Carbs and grains provoke a strong insulin response and that leads to inflammation of the major blood vessels. A lifetime of this inflammation leads to tears and ruptures. Cholesterol comes to the rescue to keep you from bleeding out. Cholesterol is NOT the evil thing it’s been made out to be. Hell, your body uses cholesterol to make vitamin D from sunshine. Your brain is loaded with cholesterol. Your cells require cholesterol for tissue maintenance.

Cholesterol keeps you alive in the short and medium term but eventually, while it’s frantically trying to do that, a lifetime of too much carbs and sugars and grains, leads to a build up that clogs your arteries.

High cholesterol simply means that the body is making it in quantity for a functional purpose, like keeping your arteries from leaking. It’s a MARKER for something that’s gone amiss.

Nathan Pritikin was not a doctor but an engineer who had a heart attack and went about to find out why. He read all the latest research and concluded that cholesterol was LINKED to, (but not the cause) of artery disease.

His protocol of diet and exercise was extremely beneficial to those who followed it. And naturally, with less demand for cholesterol, the levels dropped. The myopic medical community seized on cholesterol as the cause and the drug companies quickly came out with drugs to lower that very essential compound, ARTIFICIALLY.

That’s like noticing that skid marks are found at the scene of every accident and then coming to the conclusion that skid marks are the CAUSE of accidents. Stupid.

Stucky,

If your ex’s casseroles were so crappy, why’d ya eat them?

Or was that your excuse for pizza and beer instead? Was mine, only for me, it was, (shudder) meatloaf. Grew a beer gut at 40 and 20 years later, can’t get rid of it. I’m basically a skinny guy but with the gut, I look pregnant, disgusting.

Insulin is the fat storing hormone. Google it. If you want to lose weight cut out carbs and sugar. Eat lean meat, fruits and vegetables. Eating clean is important but what helps the most in winning the battle of the bulge is exercise. People are fat because they don’t move. Hard work pays off when it comes to exercise.

Anyone that tells the truth regarding magnesium, Vitamin D, and Iodine, is someone that I will give a listen too.

Now add live foods (like real yoghurt, not store bought candy, raw honey, raw vinegars, fermented foods), real animal and plant fats (olive, coconut, palm, lard, tallow, grape, schmaltz, etc) and it would be perfect.

Oh yeah, movement. We human animals were not designed to sit on our asses and drive through a clown’s mouth to get our “food.” We were meant for movement, and I don’t mean once a week in a gym.

We were also meant to be in the sun, drink pure unadulterated water, eat foods chock full of nutrients thus enabling our bodies to be in tune and happy and quit craving the very poison that is now killing many of us.

I believe many are fat because they are literally starving to death as yeast in their digestive tracts block any real nutrients from entering our bloodstreams while demanding our brain crave more sugar, fake fats, fake tastes, fake food.

Once you stop eating the majority of your diet in processed crap, and start adding things like real fat, real salt, real nutrients, into your body, you will stop craving the Doritos and soda on a physical level. The real feat is forcing your mind to believe your body when it tells that the chemical flavorings in Doritos taste like crap. And they do.

Obesity and reliance on man made chemicals are two of our problems that are going to sort themselves out.

If China quits shipping our food back in the form of “convenience” foods and chemical additives, the actual number of calories available in our markets will plunge overnight.

If they quit shipping our psych drugs, or insulin, or heart meds, we would lose even more as the effects of cold turkey and unhealthy bodies hits.

I don’t want to be skinny and buffed, for cripes’ sakes, I’m nearly 50. What I want is to be healthy, free from dependence on a medical or food corporation, and strong. I’m so happy I found it hasn’t truly taken much to be that.

Good luck all. With so much misinformation, myth and bad, for-profit, science, a struggle with weight is baked into the cake, so to speak.

I will admit I eat coconut by the spoonful, my body craves it. My dog gets it too.

Reducing breads and grains has been key to my slow and steady shrinking. The less I eat of them, the smaller I am.

I still eat them if I want them, I just make sure I am eating more protein/real fat than the carbs, balancing protein/fat with carbs and high nutrient foods works best for me.

Olga

As soon as I finish this post I will make a cup of buttery coffee for my afternoon pick-me-up.

Tomorrow I’ll try it with coconut oil.

On another note….

This summer I began to have a noticeable problem with irregular heartbeat. I’ve experienced it in the past and was checked out by a cardiologist who was not concerned, and it went away for about 5 years, only to suddenly reappear. Concurrently, I began to have problems getting to sleep and staying asleep, always waking up at 3:00 a.m. One day I read about people who drink too much coconut water and it upsets their electrolyte balance. A few days later I read about some issues with magnesium deficit, and two of the symptoms listed were irregular heartbeat and sleep disturbances. Then I happened to try some coconut water from Trader. Joe’s because it was more reasonable than others, just because it was hot and it sounded refreshing. The next day I realized my heart was just beating like it should. As I kept drinking a couple of glasses of c water a day, I began to sleep like a log. So – I’m telling this tale for any of you that might be experiencing either of these problems, you might want to get some magnesium and/or potassium supplements or just drink some coconut water, which has plenty of both.

As for carbs: I regret all those years I felt guilty putting butter and sour cream on my baked potatoes, when the potato was the problem. I too love all white foods the best and I miss them but it’s worth it.
Also I cheat now and then.

For all you commenters on carbs, Admin highly recommends this delicious Philadelphia street treat. Buy ’em when they’re fresh and hot. Mmmmm, tasty.

You might know this, a heart healthy super-food is watermelon. Just do a search on “watermelon and the heart”. You’ll be amazed.

This is a very nice article — http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=foodspice&dbid=31

And I made this recipe for the 10th time this summer. It simple and fast …. and you can easily add whatever floats your boat to it.

Watermelon Gazpacho

Tomatoes
Watermelon
Mint leaves
Cucumber
Olive oil
Lemon juice
Feta

Combine 1/2 pound chopped tomatoes with 1 1/2 pounds seeded and cubed watermelon, 1 peeled and diced cucumber, a handful of mint leaves and 1/4 cup olive oil in a food processor or blender; process until chunky-smooth. Add 2 tablespoons lemon juice. Garnish: Crumbled feta and chopped mint.

WUNDERBAR!!!

I always feel Ike I’m chewing water when I eat watermelon, but I didn’t realize what healthy water it is until I read the article. I will definitely give the gazpacho a try. (Wouldn’t it be delicious with about three pieces of crusty Italian bread slathered with a thick layer of butter?)I like to make cold soup in the summer so thanks.

Last comment …

Ms Freud also is not a watermelon lover …. but she LOVES this, which is why I’ve made it 10+ times already this summer (I make about a gallon at a time).

Here’s what I do to “hide” the watermelon. I blend (liquify) the watermelon FIRST so that there are no chunks … set it aside, do the rest, and then add the (now) watermelon juice back in. Works like a charm.

Also, it should go without saying, if you use supermarket tomatoes (or, God forbid, canned tomatoes) this recipe will taste like shit. Right now I buy from the farmers market what is called “Ugly Tomato”, I think aka as heirloom. Simply the best.

For you non-chefs out there ….

This is what’s called in these parts “Ugly Tomato”. Ugly as shit and deformed looking (like bb).

I have yet to taste a better tomato. If you see one, snap it up and try it. You won’t regret it.

Gayle and Olga, magnesium deficiency resulting in heart problems is a silent, and ignored, issue in this country.

There are many reasons but one of the largest is that Monsanto/GMO farming actively works to eliminate many vitamins and minerals from our soils. Monsanto replaces a plants need for magnesium – which is the building block of a plant’s cells – with the want of a chemical to force growth. At least this is my rudimentary understanding of the various studies I read.

Another issue is that our water sources, and our chosen “vices” (like soda pop) actively suck the magnesium from our very cells and force the body to flush this vital nutrient away. These are also the reasons why we are deficient in iodine (though most of us get the bare minimum from artificially supplement food products, it is enough to stop goiters from forming, yet not enough for optimum health). My main symptom of iodine deficiency is the inability to handle the cold. Since I started supplementing my life has literally changed in the 6 months a year this state is cold.

This means that nearly EVERYONE, even those that think they eat “healthy” are vitally magnesium deficient. From dry skin, constipation (and sometimes even diarrhea), sugar cravings, irregular heartbeats, muscle cramps, menstration problems, energy levels, etc., etc.

Magnesium is one of the few minerals/vitamins that your body has the ability to tell you if you are taking too much. There was a reason our grandmom’s use to use Milk of Magnesia for constipation.

Personally I take between 400 and 800 mg orally a day, depending on my cycle and feeling. I also use magnesium chloride oil all over my body, daily or more often, as needed for aches, pains, muscles strains and soft, not dry, non itchy skin.

I am literally hoarding the stuff as I fear after the crash our food will have little nutrients in it and I cannot go back to the days before I added it to my life. It has completely changed my health. I bow to the greatness of the god that created this world and I curse the for-profit men that altered his creations to make more money, gather more wealth.

Good health to you all

Thanks for that info. I remember a few months ago Stucky started quite a thread about his adventures with magnesium but I kind of skimmed through it since I wasn’t aware I had any issues. Seems like I better add another pill to the collection of supplements I down every day.

Our food is scary. My daughter says at least 75% of her peers with babies and small children are plagued with all kinds of food sensitivities and allergies (the kids, not the moms). A conspiracy theorist might suggest we are being poisoned by design. Between the rising rates of autism and ADHD in the young and Alzheimer’s in the old, it may be true. Keep taking your vitamins and buy organic.

I read about the Mag Oil here – did some research of my own and went out and bought my first 10$ bottle.

The patches of psoriasis on my arms and legs are gone – the ones on my scalp are 5% of what they once were – it is amazing stuff.

I am appalled at the amount of time and money I spent with the dermatologist over these last ten years and that alone has made me realize that food [and supplements] are the new medicine – that BIG corporate Pharma has every profitable reason to keep us poisoned and addicted.

Another huge “wake-up” call and all thanks to the miscreants of TBP!

“Seems like I better add another pill to the collection of supplements I down every day.” — Gayle

I don’t believe you need an actual pill — although there is no harm in it.

The question is one of efficacy. It seems that the benefits of magnesium is strongest when applied to the skin, as the body absorbs and distributes it easily and quickly.
