In honor of Sears, JC Penney, Radioshack, and all the other future retail bankruptcies.
This was a Pizza Hut
Now it’s all covered with daisies
you got it, you got it
I miss the honky tonks,
Dairy Queens, and 7-Elevens
you got it, you got it
And as things fell apart
Nobody paid much attention
you got it, you got it
This was a discount store,
Now it’s turned into a cornfield
you got it, you got it
My favorite TH album “Naked”
This is a great song!
My buddy T- told me, you have to re-invent yourself..explaining that one cannot be a technician forever.
Some interesting businesses keep mutating while others succumb to stasis.
On the bright side, Dunkin Donuts is making a comeback, Circuit City can’t be far behind.
Didn’t you forget the fuckin vaca cabeza in the ditch watcher?
That doesn’t make sense at all. Oh, wait, ditch watcher is a dish washer, I get it. But what’s with the vaca cabeza? Maybe you mean that Spanish white boy – Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca (Jerez de la Frontera, c. 1488/1490 – Seville, c. 1557/1558) was a Spanish explorer of the New World, one of four survivors of the 1527 Narváez expedition. During eight years of traveling across the US Southwest, he became a trader and shaman to various Native American tribes before reconnecting with Spanish colonial forces in Mexico in 1536. After returning to Spain in 1537, he wrote an account, first published in 1542 as La Relación (“The Relation”, or in more modern terms “The Account”[1]), which in later editions was retitled Naufragios (“Shipwrecks”). Cabeza de Vaca has been considered notable as a proto-anthropologist for his detailed accounts of the many tribes of American Indians that he encountered.
Another conundrum is that Chen is single. He was totally baffled to learn his ‘wife’ was posting on TBP since A. he never met her B. she wouldn’t have an East LA accent and 3. she would not use coarse language like a common hillbilly woman.
