MEANWHILE IN EGYPT

Havoc reigns on the streets of Egypt’s capital, where police have fired tear gas and reportedly live rounds at angry crowds. The clashes come after murder charges were dropped against the country’s former leader, Hosni Mubarak, and seven of his senior officials, for the killing of hundreds of protesters.

I sure am glad that the Arab spring has had such a positive effect on the area.

What a joke. As I have said many times, overthrowing a government without a set of ideals and leaders in place to replace it simply leads to more and more dysfunction. These Arabs have no idea what they want other than they do not like what they have. That is a recipe for disaster.

“I am mad as hell and will not take it anymore” is not good enough – you need an idealogical system to replace (or to return to, in the case of the US) that which you do not like. And given the world is so full of morons and sheeple, the chances of there actually being any positive change is next to zero.

This will not end well.
