That IS very funny …. you would think the Scots, of all people, would spell correctly, Whiskey.

“Here, mon, now that ye’ve had yer haircut, lemme just whisky them prickly little clippings off yer neck.”

Ain’t no misspelling.

Stucky, the general rule of thumb is that countries with an E in their name spell it whiskey. Those that don’t, don’t.

Scotland = whisky
United States = whiskey
Japan = whisky
Austria = whisky
Ireland = whiskey
Canada = whisky

Of course, exceptions to the rule exist.

My Gram came from Glasgow, she drank Four Roses and Pepsi. Her sister drank Old Mr. Boston, and they both smoked up a storm. They were quite fun to be around even as a little kids they would have me and my brothers mixing their drinks. They could probably drink most men under the table. Those were the good old days.

Top of the mornin lads!

A wee snort of whisky while you get a trim can’t hurt a thing ….gets you primed for some serious drinking down at the pub at noon……….which gets you primed for your trip back to the pub at 4:30 for a few pints with the boys before you go home for supper. A Scott’s life is tough.

I’m a big fan of some of the tv shows from Scotland, that is a beautiful place.
