In South Carolina he’d get shot, the chainsaw would end up for sale on Craigslist and then the shooter would get a good citizen award from the Governor .

I like the way Americunts delusionally seem to believe that their hallmark personality traits differ among the 50 states, as if ALL 325 million American’ts WEREN’T equally complacent in bending over and taking it up the azz voluntarily from their abusive government.

Over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over & over again.

We do have concealed carry in Oregon. That being said a deranged chainsaw murderer would probably have the best results in Portland, Salem, and Eugene. Once you get away from the I-5 corridor and the liberal bastions therein the populace gets pretty conservative and will kill you just as fast as in Texas. Try that shit at the Pendleton Roundup you wouldn’t last 1 minute.

Or go down to SF and if the chainsaw is the size of a gerbil, well, you’re IN!

The one thing you are not entitled to is your opinion in any leftie liberal state like Oregon, unless of course your opinion is leftie liberal. All other opinions are racist, homophobic, evil, unfair, misogynist, etc etc etc.

I have NEVER met a leftie who felt that a libertarian or conservative is entitled to an opinion.

Pretty much true. In fact, Brian, it’s pretty much true in small town and rural America from Maine to California. That’s why the 2nd Amendment irritates the citified liberals to no end. They just can’t get those yahoos in flyover America to give up their guns.

I was born in a yahoo town. I grew up with yahoos. Yahoos are my kind of people.

I don’t know why anyone would pick on Oregon. Yes it has become a democrat-run state over the past 30 years, mostly due to migration from California but over the past 50 years it has produced two of the most prominent anti-war republicans in the nation, Sen. Wayne Morse and Sen. Mark Hatfield.

Historically Oregon is as independent and redneck as any state in the country as it’s major industries were farming, fishing and forestry. Ken Kesey understood this mindset well. It was captured best in his novel, Sometimes a Great Notion.

Correction. Sen. Morse was a democrat.

I had dealings with Hatfield. His name should be pronounced Asshole.

I ran into him in the 70s, one summer. I do not remember the details well, but I was doing some yard work at a house, and this guy comes out and was an asshole to me for no reason. I asked who was that prick. Turns out it was Hatfield.

He ran over and killed a girl in 1940. Fought tooth and nail to avoid any responsibility for it.

He is also the prick that killed the balanced budget amendment, I think.

Oregon hasn’t had a Republican Gov. since 1987. Oddly 1 year before I moved here…wtf?!. All the U.S. Reps are Dem, save Greg Walden who represents the entire eastern part of the state. He is a weak Republican and hails from the Hood River Valley (rapidly becoming a liberal bastion outside the I-5 corridor, like Bend). My dad tells me that my grandparents saved young Greg from drowning in a pool when he was a young child, unrelated but interesting story if true. Both Senators are Dem. The damn locusts from California are doing the same shit they did to California expecting different results.
