The surprising part about this quote is it is from Dean Baker. Dean Baker and other liberal Keynesians are the ones advocating policies that result in redistribution. They think the policies will redistribute away from the 1%, but the 1% are smarter than the Dean Baker’s and end up co-opting the policies for their own. The problem is the idea redistribution in the first place.
