I will continue to donate money to Planned Parenthood, which organization was very helpful to me as a young woman. When I dealt with them, they were interested in helping ANYONE who did not want to be pregnant, avoid becoming pregnant. Being as I had a good paycheck at the time, I had to pay “market” prices for my contraceptive device, but it was still cheaper and more readily available there, than anywhere else.
That organization has saved this country countless hundreds of millions of dollars in welfare, medical, and incarceration costs. Don’t knock it.
As a taxpayer, should I be forced to pay for your contraception by having my taxes taken from me to fund Planned Parenthood?

For fear of stating the obvious, let’s look at the abortion debate in the US and on TBP:
Anti: generally conservative people, who mostly see poor and stupid persons, particularly minorities, as a tax on productive society, oppose abortion because it kills innocent fetuses and undermines the value of human life. These same people would, in many cases, not care much for the adults that those fetuses are likely to grow into.
Pro: generally very liberal people, who claim to value equality, equity, and social justice, generally want minorities advanced to be equal if not ahead of white Christian people against whom they are usually prejudiced (even if white themselves), strongly support a group that was founded by a racist, anti-stupid-people eugenicist whose views are very similar to those of Hitler, a group that uses deception to gain the trust of its target customer of poor minorities, and has a fetal body count in the 10’s of millions in the past century. The liberal people who claim they value minorities are absolutely unwaiveringly in support of a group that was formed to, and in fact does, eliminate the same minorities before they can be born.
I’m sure there are a FEW exceptions to these broad groupings, but ask yourself if this is not accurate for 90% or more of each group. Each group seems to be working against their own purported goals.
And yes, I understand a few women think that PP has helped them in some way, and maybe it has (sometimes at the expense of someone else), but that doesn’t change its core mission or track record.

The thing is, most people in the world of any race cannot afford 3-4 children and many cannot afford any children at all. Smart people will limit their offspring to the number they can raise successfully, which means you INVEST in your offspring, to the tune of time, money, and education. That is how humanity of all races improves itself. If the useless eaters insist upon reproducing because they can foist the cost on everyone else, we could just stop feeding the beast and watch them starve, but most people don’t favor that option.

All my doctors wanted to cram oral contraceptives down my throat. Every woman in my family who took them had to stop, because of blood clots- strokes run in my family. I wanted a DEVICE, not pills.
They were also of great assistance in locating a surgeon who would do a tubal ligation on a healthy 28 year old white woman. Their attitude is that anyone who didn’t want to have kids, shouldn’t.
I get your point…… abstinence will guarantee freedom from pregnancy. Obviously, I’m not an abstinence advocate.
Talk to Bristol Palin about abstinence…seems to have worked really well for her, heh heh.
