Testing the waters …. and best chance of making it happen is to plan early.
Noo Yawk City — one day. No major sightseeing. Just a place to meet; drink, eat, and shoot the shit. Maybe get into a fistfight (a small one). TBP boys, girls, … even spouses.

I like the idea. My family all lives in Delaware, which isn’t too far. I’m due for some vacation time. So there’s that. My wife keeps reminding me that I go see pop-pop one last time before it’s too late. She’s probably right.
Downside for me is that is costs me and my family a small fortune to fly. There’s five of us. Plus, I hate the TSA.
But, if you plan it, I will definitely put it on the radar screen.

Wife and I will be on a 2-week motoring trip in the Midwest to visit the last of the 4 states she hasn’t been to in the Lower 48.
I would be afraid of sniper fire.
I’d like to spend a couple of weeks visiting the various museums that make up The Smithsonian but apart from that, I have no intention of ever being on the east coast again. There are too many quiet corners of the west I’ve yet to see.
Would love to meet you but that’s 1000 miles away for me, so I probably won’t make it.
If there was enough midwest interest to do one inland, I’d be interested.

We’ll be up at Pictured Rocks the last week of Sept and the first week of Oct, or the first two weeks of Oct, schedule is still up in the air.
