COOL CLIMATE SPEECH DUDE

“Climate change is real, it is happening right now. It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species, and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating. We need to support leaders around the world who do not speak for the big polluters, but who speak for all of humanity, for the indigenous people of the world, for the billions and billions of underprivileged people out there who would be most affected by this. For our children’s children, and for those people out there whose voices have been drowned out by the politics of greed … Let us not take this planet for granted. I do not take tonight for granted.” – Leonardo DiCaprio before getting on his private jet to fly to his private yacht, thereby creating more pollution in one day than 1 million indigenous peoples in their lifetimes. The hypocrisy is delicious.

The dude is a high school dropout, but thinks he’s an expert on climate change. That’s rich.

I’ll be happy to believe in and proselytize for the religion of global climate warming/change/whatever for the use of a private jet and yacht. Shit I would do it for a free pane ticket and a ride on a boat, but then I can be bought cheap.
Bob.

What massive egos some of these celebrities have! He relies on writers to put words in his mouth, then believes the fact he is famous gives him a platform to preach from! What a joke!

I’m guessing DiCaprio made that speech last night at the Oscars?

I didn’t even know it was Oscar night. A handful of narcissists giving awards to other narcissists. Fuckem.

But, from reading online newz today …. it seems Chris Rock was hurling “RAAAYYCCCISSS!!” manure at every opportunity. Which pretty much validates two truisms —–

—1) Niggers are more racist than whites, by a big margin.

—2) Once a nigger, always a nigger … like a dog returning to its vommit.

I had to work nine hours today to lock enough carbon into the soil to offset the pommade Lenny used in that photo.

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Nearly two dozen state lawmakers want New York’s public pension fund to drop stock holdings in oil, natural gas and coal companies as part of a movement against global warming.

Climate change threatens New Yorkers’ safety, health and wealth by raising sea levels, increasing storm intensity and droughts, threatening biodiversity, damaging property and increasing the cost of insurance, health care and government, according to the bill’s sponsors.

The $1 billion in oil, natural gas and coal stocks currently held will be divided equally among JC Penny, Sears, and Ambercrombie and Finch.

Two events that spelled doom for the climate Astrologers:
1. ClimateGate
2. Changing the name from Global Warming to Climate Change, where the new name implies tha the Magic Molecule CO2 is now responsible for more Snow and less Snow; more Rain and less Rain, etc. – most people with an IQ above 85 realize that they were conned in the past.

————-
This is the progtard asshole perpetual *argumentum ad hominem* fallacy, claiming that for no reason other than the fact that someone making an argument isn’t “an expert,” the argument itself is wrong.

In this case, Di Caprio is certainly pushing purest bullshit, but the great “carbon pollution” premise isn’t bullshit simply BECAUSE a pompous, arrogant, willfully ignorant Hollywood egomaniac is pushing it.

Minimal scientific literacy, coupled with simple intellectual integrity, makes it impossible for a man to accept the fuckhead notion that anthropogenic (man-made) atmospheric carbon dioxide could do ANYTHING to affect the earth’s climate, either locally, regionally, or globally.

Leonardo Di Caprio, being arguably illiterate in the sciences, is just another asshole. Doubtless he’s conflated method *acting* with *scientific* method, and thinks he’s capable of saying something on the subject that other people should listen to. Poor boob.

So we have good enough reason to excuse the stupid shit in this particular installment of his long career of public dog-fucking.

Don’t worry; he’ll be out there screwing some other poor pooch even more spectacularly, and this “climate change” assholery of his will fade.

there may be exceptions to the rule…the rule being that all
Hollywood actors are idiots with hard to find morals. Also,
they have very inflated egos, and great opinions about
themselves.

Its useful when making an argument for something like climate change to actually practice what your preach. My 14 MPG tahoe ain’t got shit on leo, but Im supposed to trade it in for a prius to save he planet. If this guy actually gave a shit, he wouldn’t do galavanting around the world in things like a boat that size of a private jet.

In addition to his being a mere hypocrite, there is also ample evidence that he doesn’t even actually believe any of the shit about global warming either. I remembered hearing something about him opening a private resort island in belize(probably read it on the cover of some celbrity rag while gazing at them standing in line a the grocery store, who knows). Just did a quick google search, and yep, sure enough, he bought himself his very own island. Since resort islands are, by their very nature, not very far above sea level, one would imagine that if he REALLY believed all this nonsense, he would KNOW that the ocean was going to start rising catastrophically in the next few years, making this little island a pretty fucking stupid investment.

I would love, jsut once, for someone to actually call one of these people on this kind of shit. I think the faggy pirate guy, depp, did the same thing in greece. Once again, if we get the catastrophic sea rise I keep hearing is just around the corner, these guys little hideouts will be the first things underwater. So, they obviously don’t believe any of this stuff, so why is it they insist that we should have draconian economic provisions foisted upon us?

Seems the “dear little chap” managed a standing ovation for his oh-so-fashionable effort too . . . . .

http://ecowatch.com/2016/02/29/dicaprio-oscar-speech-climate-change/

“Easy Funding” always attracts the “Get rich / famous quick for least effort” people; and we have seen plenty of evidence of this happening over the past 30 years or more (Global Cooling – the New Ice Age – then, Oops – Global Warming, and now – let’s use the “Catch-All” phrase, “Climate Change”).

There are a LOT of areas where extra funding IS needed, and now. “Climate Change” most certainly is NOT one.

The earth naturally warms up a few years to a decade every 10,000 years or so and then goes into a 90,000 year long or so Ice Age. We are overdue and there ain’t nothing that man himself can do to change that (except maybe all the Liberals hot air and the Urban Heat Sinks are advancing the process). The equator is your best bet for the Western Hemisphere; otherwise, move below the previous Glacier Line and get some reindeer.

There are really two possibilities here:

DiCaprio is a naive dupe who actually believes in man made climate change. As a liberal, he operates purely on emotion and therefore since he “feels” he is good, does not see the hypocrisy in his own life, but wants “someone else” to “do something.” In this case, he should immediately quit the acting profession, wherein one movie set consists of miles of electrical wires, dozens and dozens of air conditioned trailers, golf carts, catering trucks, explosions for stuns, etc. All to play films to millions of people, all driving cars to thousands of air conditioned movie theaters across the country, indeed, around the world. By his own standard, DiCaprio is aiding genocide of the planet on a grand scale.

Much more likely, DiCaprio knows his industry, and knows the politics involved. He knows by using his Oscar speech to communicate to his masters, that despite his success, he is not going to rest on his laurels, but is ready, willing, and able to continue to peddle liberal agenda rhetoric to the masses, he will ensure continued success and cement himself on top of the Hollywood pyramid for all time. In this way, he will not be surpassed by younger, hotter actors, but instead will be compared to the likes of Humphrey Bogart and Spencer Tracy. In essence, he knows the rules of the game very well, and is playing to win.

DiCaprio is a complete hypocrite, and he is completely right, and you dont need to have a high school diploma to realize that progressively altering the chemical composition of a closed system will eventually have significant consequences, unless of course you are a dumb-ass coward who wont take responsibility for his actions; ie. an average American.
