In the near future we will get to find out if these words are true or not. You can take this statement and run with it in a number of different directions. Those of a libertarian persuasion have been warning of a huge number of adverse consequences if we continue on our present course. We have endured ridicule from both the left and the right as we have had all manner of govt intervention in so many aspects of both the market and our lives shoved down our throats, and typically responded with something like “this will end badly”. Time will tell if we get to say “I told you so” or not. I still think we will.
You can’t borrow or print your way to prosperity, and actions do have consequences, even if they take a few years to manifest themselves.
