No, President Obama, It’s Not Easier To Buy A Glock Than A Book

During his speech at the memorial service in Dallas for murdered police officers, President Barack Obama lamented that his words have little power to effect change, then proceeded to peddle blatant, easily refutable lies about guns.

“I’ve seen how inadequate words can be in bringing about lasting change,” Obama said. “I’ve seen how inadequate my own words have been.”

One reason for that inadequacy may be that he says things he knows aren’t true. Over the weekend, Obama said, “I think it’s very hard to untangle the motives of this shooter.” Given that the shooter himself told police that he “wanted to kill white people, especially white officers,” there doesn’t seem to be much left to untangle.

Another reason for the inadequacy of the president’s words may be that he so often says things that other people know aren’t true. Take, for example, a new gun claim that he for some reason decided to trot out at a memorial service for murdered police officers on Tuesday:

“It’s easier for a teenager to get his hands on a Glock than a computer…or even a book.”

Set aside for the moment the question of whether this kind of political speechifying is appropriate for a solemn memorial service, and just focus on the assertion itself: “It’s easier for a teenager to get his hands on a Glock than a computer…or even a book.”

Is there anyone in America, other than its commander-in-chief, who believes for a second that this even remotely approximates the truth? It’s not just false. It’s laughably false.

For starters, it’s against federal law for anyone under the age of 18 to legally purchase or possess a handgun or handgun ammunition (Glock is the manufacturer of a popular line of handguns, not a synonym for handgun). It’s also against federal law for anyone to sell or deliver a handgun to anyone the seller reasonably believes is under the age of 18. As far as I know, neither computers nor books are illegal. And judging by the number of teenagers I see walking around with their faces glued to their smartphones, they don’t seem to have a particularly difficult time getting hold of a computer.

In 2015, Pew Research Center conducted a survey of teens to gauge their access to technology. According to the Pew study, 87 percent of U.S. teenagers had access to either a desktop or laptop computer. Eighty-one percent had access to a gaming console. The Pew study found that 73 percent had access to a smartphone (for black teens, that number was 85 percent). Here’s how Pew described its results:

Internet use is a near ‘constant’ for some teens

Teens ages 13 to 17 are also going online frequently. Aided by the convenience and constant access provided by mobile phones, 92% of teens report going online daily — with 24% using the internet “almost constantly,” 56% going online several times a day, and 12% reporting once-a-day use. Just 6% of teens report going online weekly, and 2% go online less often.

Does Barack Obama believe that more than 92 percent of American teenagers illegally possess and shoot handguns each day? Because that’s what would need to be happening in order for his statement to be true. As of 2014, roughly one-third of U.S. households had guns in them. Are we to believe that the incidence of handgun usage among teenagers is three times higher than the ownership rate of all households in the U.S.? Because that would also need to be true for his statement to be accurate. Is Obama really asserting that handgun access among teenagers, who are prohibited from possessing them by federal law, exceeds that of actual adults who can legally purchase and possess pistols?

In addition to being completely illegal for anyone under the age of 18, handguns are also pretty expensive, especially compared to things like books, and cost and accessibility are generally inversely related. Free stuff is easy to access, while expensive stuff is not. The Glock 17, a 9mm handgun that according to its manufacturer is the most widely used law enforcement pistol in the world, will cost you upwards of $500. A book at the local library will cost a child approximately nothing. Public schools literally hand books to children when they enroll in school each year. And if for some reason school isn’t really your thing, there are these places called libraries that allow you to walk out with books for free whenever you want. In Barack Obama’s hometown of Chicago, there 80 different public library locations scattered throughout the city. In spite of my extensive Google skills, I was unable to locate any Chicago-area kiosks that dispense handguns to children free of charge, nor was I able to find any government institutions that deliver handguns to children when they walk in the door in August after summer vacation ends.

The president’s claim that teenagers can go out and grab Glocks more easily than they can find books or computers isn’t just false. It’s a pathetic attempt by an ineffective, lame duck president to hijack a service of mourning for his own unpopular political agenda.

The Dallas police officer memorial service isn’t the only place Obama has workshopped this kind of gun lie. Last year, the president declared that it is easier to buy a handgun than it is to buy a vegetable (spoiler alert: it’s not). The lesson the president learned from that embarrassing attempt to lie about guns was apparently to make the lie even more brazen. Vegetables? Those cost money. Why not compare guns to things like books that anyone with a pulse can get for free? That’s the ticket!

Instead of taking a moment to thoughtfully consider why his words are so useless, the president instead sought to cheapen them even more by peddling obvious lies. And he chose to do so not at a political event or campaign rally, but at a solemn event meant to honor the lives of those who got up every morning in order to protect others. President Obama is right: his words are meaningless. If he wants people to take him seriously for the next six months, maybe he should start using them a little more sparingly and starting telling the truth a little more often.

Why the entire Dallas PD did not stand up and turn their backs on this narcissistic POS sociopath I have no idea. I would have.

In looking at their faces as the cameras panned the audience, I do not think Obama as any support of the LEOs.

I thought the same thing. Obama is so embarrassing. So, thoughtless. So, self centered. The cops didn’t get up to leave, I expect, out of respect for the office and not the man.

That was from a speech Obummer gave in Brussels March, 26th to Europe.
I have no respect for the man, but that video was dishonest. It was a dice and slice job.
Here’s a bit more of the speech for context:

“And it was here in Europe, through centuries of struggle, through war and enlightenment, repression and revolution, that a particular set of ideals began to emerge, the belief that through conscience and free will, each of us has the right to live as we choose, the belief that power is derived from the consent of the governed and that laws and institutions should be established to protect that understanding.
And those ideas eventually inspired a band of colonialists across an ocean, and they wrote them into the founding documents that still guide America today, including the simple truth that all men, and women, are created equal.
But those ideals have also been tested, here in Europe and around the world. Those ideals have often been threatened by an older, more traditional view of power. This alternative vision argues that ordinary men and women are too small-minded to govern their own affairs, that order and progress can only come when individuals surrender their rights to an all-powerful sovereign. Often this alternative vision roots itself in the notion that by virtue of race or faith or ethnicity, some are inherently superior to others and that individual identity must be defined by us versus them, or that national greatness must flow not by what people stand for, but what they are against.”

It was a slip…. what he really wanted to say is “because the success of our progressive education, it is easier for a teenager to use a gun than to read a book or use a computer”.

If any of this is true, and black yutes have more guns and need books, I have plenty of books I will gladly trade for guns. I mostly use my kindle now anyway… Come on, gun for a book? Any takers?

An event to memorialize and honor the dead and comfort their friends, relatives and community is turned into a political agenda speech (and an untruthful one as well).

Our current President is a most disgusting sort of creature, but one that seems to be representative the majority of American people today as his current popularity indicates.

A ‘teenager’ with a book? By ‘teenager’, of course, what’s really said is ‘negroid’. I think that ovomit would’ve had a great career in standup comedy if he didn’t choose politics.

Books and computers…..yeah right. As long as the thugs can access Wide World of Hip-Hop, MTV, BET, and, if they are really political, the various hate group-anti-White sites that are out there……then the ape is happy.

They use their smart phones to make drug deals, post anti-White slogans, messages and to organize flash crowds to loot a local 7-11.

I recently took a short cut through the North End (A Negro shithole-is there any other kind?) of Hartford at 10am, which is something I usually avoid at all costs. I was curious to see if it was the same cesspool-garbage dump that it’s been for the last 40 years. I didn’t notice any improvements.

I also didn’t notice any book stores, computer stores or job centers. What I did see was liquor stores, crappy looking bars, convenience marts, McD’s, KFC’s, bail bondsman offices, police sub-stations and hordes of negroids walking around aimlessly and hanging out in groups. I guess they all work 2nd or 3rd shift.

Not one of them had a book in their hand, so I guess ovomit scored a point on that one, but I’m sure a significant percentage of the male negroids were illegally carrying some sort of weapon.

The Emperor has no clothes.

The funny thing is, is that a nigger wouldn’t have a clue as to what that means.

What are the 5 rarest things in a ghetto? In no particular order;

— men who work
— married women
— Trader Joe’s
— pride
book store

What are the 5 most common things in a ghetto? In no particular order;

— pimps
— prostitutes
— Liquor Stores
— self hatred
Glocky guns

This Is Why Obama Is so Determined to Start a Race War
Tags:

COVER-UP/DECEPTIONS/PROPAGANDA CURRENT EVENTS DICTATORSHIP POLITICS/ELECTIONS/CORRUPTION WHITE HOUSE

The last three bullet points above clearly spell out a deliberate and premeditated strategy to divide the nation using manufactured racism. That racially charged agenda has been implemented with a “nod and a wink” since the very inception of Obama’s first term. In light of the growing list of serious scandals and unrivaled law-breaking by this Administration, it is clear why there is such a relentless push for a “full scale race war”. Obama’s inner circle must feel that it has no choice but to distract the American people from the unrelenting corruption and ubiquitous malfeasance that must be kept hidden from the public.

When it’s not distracting the citizenry with transparent race-bating, the Obama Administration is diverting attention away from the very real class war that has been raging since the stock market crash of 2008.

Wouldn’t you think he could just once deal with reality? You can get an HD Kindle Fire for less than a hundred bucks and Wally World has laptops for $200.
While this was one of his least hate filled speeches, while he was there, his Attorney General was lying to and abusing Congress, committing impeachable offenses while only answering questions favoring gun control.
The scum of the earth will be out pushing ordinary Americans of all ethnicities to the brink, at least until Labor Day and likely beyond with student “activism” stealing the ability of real students to learn anything without dodging a daily gauntlet of communist filth and useful idiots posing as outraged victims of the possibility Trump might be able to turn the country around enough to allow them to find employment.
The giant is twitching and if they wake it up, it will stomp the shit out of them to restore peace and quiet. It will be pure schadenfreude watching the weeping nincompoops after the giant tunes them up good.

I remember when I had to take a literacy test before being allowed to buy a book from Amazon, then the background check – to ensure I had never misspelled anything, ever – then the 15 day wait.

Unfortunately, the book I had ordered had more than one page, so I had to ask for a special license from BATF (the ministry of Books and Things Forbidden), have my finger prints taken, undergo another background check, pay a $200 tax, and sign away my few remaining rights, before I could take delivery of my $12 book.

There ought to be a law. It is obvious why Obama is concerned about the prevalence of ‘books’ in teenage hands. This frauds entire fortune is derived from the sale of his own ‘autobiographies’, well other than the crooked real estate deal he did with a Syrian mobster to acquire his Chicago home.

The reason this bothers me is not that Obama is a best selling writer of tall tales. It is who those books are sold to. OK, a few thousands might have been sold to political writers, activists and those with a need to know who Obama was when he burst onto the national stage but the rest. Those are in every elementary, junior high, high and public university library in the nation and paid for with public funds.

House Speaker Jim Wright was forced to resign for, among other offenses, pasting together a book entitled ” Reflections of a Public Man” and selling cartons of the masterpiece to campaign contributors to enrich himself. The practice has since been banned. Maybe we need a new law that would prohibit any book written by any person holding or seeking public office from being purchased with public funds.

Statement by Obama:

“After decades of gross mismanagement of Chicago my home town, I and my fellow Democrats have managed to so thoroughly fuck up the education system and create a situation where the Black youths of the city are more likely to be carrying a Glock than a computer or a book.”

There I fixed it to be an accurate statement.
