Cleveland Cop Responds To Baton Rouge Shooting: “Obama Has Blood On His Hands”

Tyler Durden's picture

When it comes to reactions in response to Obama’s increasingly more frequent, politicized speeches on the topic of police shootings, one expects republicans to express disgust and to accuse Obama of race baiting and hate-mongering: indeed, it barely registers. But when members of the very police force whose supreme commander resides in the White House accuse the same “commander” of having “blood on his hands” for his pandering rhetoric, suddenly visions of a countrywide police mutiny start to emerge.

In fact, such visions may be warranted right now, because following this morning’s latest police shooting in Baton Rouge, that killed three officers and injured at least three others, Cleveland Detective Steve Loomis who was invited on Fox to describe the unfolding situation, unleashed on none other than the president. As The Hill reports, Loomis – who is also president of the Cleveland Police Patrolmen’s Association – didn’t hold back from assigning blame during his interview with anchor Harris Faulkner.

“It’s absolutely insane that we have a president of the United States and a governor of Minnesota making the statements they made less than one day after the police-involved shootings,” said an emotional Loomis.

“And those police-involved shootings, make no mistake, are what absolutely have triggered this rash of senseless murders of law enforcement officers across this country. It’s reprehensible. And the president of the United States has blood on his hands that will not be able to come washed off.

Since there has been a barage of breaking, deadly news in the past two weeks, readers may be forgiven if they have forgotten the subject of Loomis’ anger: the detective was referring to statements made by President Obama and Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton, a Democrat, one day after the shooting of Philando Castile in Falcon Heights, Minn., by a police officer during a traffic stop.

“When incidents like this occur, there’s a big chunk of our citizenry that feels as if, because of the color of their skin, they are not being treated the same, and that hurts, and that should trouble all of us,” Obama said in a statement the following day. “This is not just a black issue, not just a Hispanic issue. This is an American issue that we all should care about.” Dayton’s comments caused an even bigger stir after he asked: “Would this have happened if the driver were white, if the passengers were white? I don’t think it would have.”

The same week, at a protest against police violence in Dallas, five officers were shot and killed by a lone gunman who was reportedly targeting white police officers.  Loomis cast blame against the media, celebrities and athletes later in the interview with Faulkner.

How the hell did we ever become the bad guys in this country?” he asked of police officers. “I cannot imagine how we got here. It’s the irresponsible reporting of the media. “And the irresponsible statements of people that are credible like the president of the United States,” added Loomis, who also pointed a finger at celebrities and athletes for “pushing a false narrative” against police officers.

More to the point, and ahead of this week’s main event, the Republican convention in Cleveland, Ohio which begins on Monday, Loomis implored Ohio Gov. John Kasich to ban the open carrying of guns in Cuyahoga County this week. That, however, won’t happen, as moments ago Kasich said he won’t restrict guns around the Republican National Convention, saying idea is legally impossible.

We hope that that particular decision doesn’t result in the worst bloodshed yet. It will be close: as Reuters reported on Friday, police in Cleveland say they aim to avoid mass arrests at the protests planned for next week’s Republican National Convention, but preparations by the city’s courts to process up to 1,000 people a day. In short, while not publicized, local authorities were preparing for the worst case scenario, and that was before today’s latest dramatic turn of events.

“Oh lawsie me, Us Poe lease dindu nothin an they shoo-in at our asses”

The earlier msm meme of a “War on Cops” having been so absurdly, transparently false, The ‘Bama came up with this plan to push his gungrab. None of the spokesmen for the cops objected to the war on cops bullshit, and they even echoed it as long as it was just a tale, but once it turns out to be coming true, they abandon ‘Bama and start blaming his ass.

The police are guilty as well. Did they ever say no to all the free toys of war that have been handed out like candy? Do they ever take their authorata too far?

You got it, Wip. He asks, ‘how did we get to be the bad guys?’ Maybe they became the bad guys when they started carrying M4s and shooting dogs as a part of their “investigations”.

“How did we ever become the bad guys”? You gotta be shitting me! Lets start with a total disrespect for the folks you work for, the ones that pay your salaries. Or the early AM no-knock raids on peoples homes, very often the wrong address. Or the terrorizing of citizens(not civilians) and their pets. The list goes on and on. Is the killing of cops ok? No, it’s not. Is it surprising? No it’s not, not at all.

No police officers should have to die in the line of duty, just as no civilians should have to die in routine traffic stops.
That being said, we all know who started this whole mess to begin with don’t we? If your going to militarize your police forces, and they hide behind the mantra “they fear for their lives everyday”, maybe its time to teach them how to de escalate situations that would not get them into situations where they feel they have no choice but to draw their weapons against those that mean them no harm. Clearly that is the problem.
It is truly a police state that is rapidly unraveling, and there is only one way to stop it…. control those who started it first!

Sorry, but 90% percent of knee grows contribute nothing to police salaries. The people of my 90%+ White suburban enclave probably pay 90% + of the police/sheriffs salaries.

My little “safe” place in America is full of people who are well armed and have a great relationship with the local sheriffs. We travel daily into the same dangerous places for work that my LAPD neighbors travel to . I do not envy them and now I too travel with my 1911 in the truck.

Cops were my sons football & basketball coaches. They have families and want to return home alive and don’t want to pull the trigger.

The crap that TBP pushes down on cops is the problem. The sheriffs in my nice white American city are generally nice guys, bureaucrats….absolutely, but they want to do the right thing.

If it is me or a black thug. I say take out the thug. Look at the fucking statistics. If I Were one of the sheriffs/police, I too, would be on high alert in every encounter. In fact I am. When I travel into one of “those” areas I lock my doors and am always looking out for someone who may not have my best interest in mind.

This is a black society problem that only black society can fix. That can fix it or end up dead.

TBP just reports what is happening. The problem has nothing to do with those reporting it, junior Gman.

Constman54 says: “My little “safe” place in America is full of people who are well armed and have a great relationship with the local sheriffs.”

It’s also full of people who are well armed and don’t have great relationships with the local sheriffs.

“I do not envy them and now I too travel with my 1911 in the truck.”

You don’t envy their six-figure salaries for a job that’s safer than being a construction worker? BTW, if this is LA County, I’m guessing you don’t have a CCW?

“The sheriffs in my nice white American city are generally nice guys, bureaucrats….absolutely, but they want to do the right thing.”

Even if they believe the right thing is too enforce any and every law, no matter how unjust. Not their job to figure out if they’re doing right or wrong, that’s above their pay grade.

I live in a little town where our chief of police rescued a wheelchair-bound citizen and his dog during the recent flood that killed over 20 people in our county. Our chief, with a wife and five year old at home, assisted by a volunteer, drove out in a newly received military surplus hummer. Water was entering the vehicle when the rescue began. This was the first local mission and a life was saved. Actually, two lives and a wheelchair. In a sense I am living in a throwback to small town America of the 1950s.
When I read of what is happening in other parts of the country I feel very fortunate. I traveled the country, on the road, for a year in the late 60s. That was when I learned about how some police will treat people they see as marginal to undesirable citizens. This badass
cop thing is nothing new. One thing I find interesting is that despite my working class origins I had learned to speak proper American English in college. Back in that era, cops, even the bad ones, were respectful of the proper accent. Now, I no longer see police as defenders of the public, as I did in my naive youth. Rather, when I have to travel outside of my local safety zone, I hope that if I am stopped again, it will be by someone like one of ours.

Assign blame to media and federal government for fomenting this violence? Correct. Try to prevent citizens from exercising their second amendment rights? Fuck you guy!

I would like to thank Mr. Quinn for keeping the news coming. Thanks, Bro!

I urge caution as many innocent lives have been cut short or emotionally traumatized. While it is difficult to determine details of Almighty God’s plan we can have full confidence that an accurate accounting is being kept. Our adversary is very intelligent and we must not underestimate his ability to enter into our lives. Order out of Chaos appears to be his motto so let us remain sober and on watch.

I continue to urge Christians to humbly petition Almighty God in prayer which is only possible due to the willing sacrifice made by His only begotten son, our lord and savior, Jesus Christ. Continue to petition Almighty God for understanding of His Word, the Holy Scriptures.

Only Almighty God knows what you need before you even ask. Always remember that Almighty God does as He will with His creation. Say the Lord’s Prayer if nothing else comes to mind. If Jesus said that’s the way to pray then it must be safe for Christians.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses against You, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, power and glory forever. Amen.

May the peace and love of our lord and savior, Jesus Christ, be with you in these trying times. When in doubt, do nothing. Sometimes doing nothing is the hardest thing of all. You’ll know if you’re on the right track if what you are about to say or do brings honor, praise and glory to Almighty God.

Sorry Constman I disagree.

TBP is not cramming anything down anyone’s throat. The militarization of the police is something that needs to be stopped by the police themselves. A quick check of statistics shows that police kill more whites than blacks. But we don’t hear about that because white people lack an Al Sharpton or Obama who will scream injustice every time another citizen gets killed.

So what is the problem. Well that’s easy to surmise. We have quit being citizens and are now civilians in a war declared by those on the levers making the decisions.

Yeah there are good cops. Yeah they coach kids and go to church. What does doing good deeds prove. The jails are full of mass murders who were caught implementing their psychopathic fantasies. Neighbours upon first discovering what their friends truly are capable of expressing shock and disbelief.

Saying stuff like

I would never have thought that (fill in the blank) was capable of such a crime.

In my hometown were I grew up the police force was given a former army APC, a Cougar aptly named, to terrorize the civilians who bought the fucking thing with their own tax dollars. My grandfather who went to fight the Nazis would never have gone if he knew that someday the police sworn to serve and protect would be dressed like the Fucking StormTroopers he went to fight. I was so fucking pissed off about this that I sent an email to Chief of Police. They all should be ashamed of themselves. These fuckheads took an oath to serve and protect us. Not themselves. If my Grandfather used same mentality in Second World War we would be learning German and paying tribute to a Gauleiter. Look at this picture below of these fine men smiling in front of their war on the people machine. They might as well just give us the finger too! It is a big Fuck you to all of us.

Rob:
The sad fact is that giving out military gear leads to an Adrenalin rush for police and ever sense the Clinton COPS program to hire more police with temporary floods of Federal funds the incentive has been to get bigger and badder. Look for Obama to send more money with more control into local areas and slowly Federalize what was once local peace-keeping activities. Hitlery will just pile it on. She might-even make Charles Moose National Police Chief. You can’t rationally blame local police and politicians for accepting and coveting the FS bonanza. We need greater Federal control, look how effective the FBI has become lately.

All this police brutality shit is nothing new. Back in the late 80’s the emerging ‘gangsta’ rap scene was singing “Fuck the Police.” The difference now is we have a president that openly fans the flames of a race war with his rhetoric, rap music not required.

Will keep saying it, disarm the police and this entire situation resolves itself. No standard patrol officer should carry anything more than a nightstick or taser. Works just fine in the UK.
