Her makeup looked really great.” Then the random comments about how they all hate Trump and think he’s disgusting. We are fucking doomed. Good thing my guns are in the other room. Otherwise I would have been tempted…
Just want to the kitchen for some food. Conversation is now about how all the grocery stores are consolidating and they don’t have as many options. They can identify the behavior but have no clue why it is happening.

I think she did far better than he did tonight. He seemed very thin-skinned. There’s no excuse for that, given that he’s been tagged as thin-skinned for so long. There were so many rhetorical devices/themes he could have used but didn’t. Christ, I could script them myself. He was woefully unprepared, IMO. No sense doing six extra rallies for 40,000 people if it means you’re not ready for 100 million watching on TV. This was brutal.

His statements are short and simple and are usually 1-syllable words. He strives to keep his words brief and abbreviated. Interestingly, Trump’s statements are aimed at the 4th grade level. It’s why he repeats short phrases and terms over and over and seems to put his sentences together sort of backwards. Please watch the video, regardless of whether you support him. It’s very interesting analysis.
Trumps job is to win over the undecided. If they’ve made it this far with out deciding, it might be a safe bet that he does not need to pander at a 4th grade level. The fourth graders decided to vote from tRump when he became Hitlary’s only opponent. He should step it up a notch…or not.

Trumps job is to win over the undecided. If they’ve made it this far with out deciding, it might be a safe bet that he does not need to pander at a 4th grade level. The fourth graders decided to vote from tRump when he became Hitlary’s only opponent. He should step it up a notch…or not.

Sure. You’re on this site, which puts you head and shoulders above, what, 75-90% of Americans? And you read (this is a text-based site, after all), which also marks you as a weirdo. The average American never reads a book and 3 of 4 college graduates never open a book after graduating. So it stands to reason something aimed at a 4th grade level, in a nation where the govt and military write at an 8th grade level, would be insulting to a person who probably works at, say, a college level. Yeah, Brains!
I doubt that the undecideds are average ‘Muricans. The very fact that they remain undecided probably means that they have the ability to think. The fourth graders and eighth graders decided long ago who they are voting for. There is a small 5%-10% minority in the middle that need to be convinced to choose a side. I don’t think tRump convinced anyone tonight except for the tRumpeteers.

Hillary actually did pretty well, at least from the standpoint of her presence and composure.
Whether there was any sincerity involved with her is a matter of viewers discretion.
Trump tried way too hard to look mild mannered or something and came across rather poorly as a result IMO, and didn’t seem to be delivering any strong message that would sway anyone not already swayed. Trump’s performance was rather disappointing, IMO.
FWIW, anyone pushing the Hillary health thing will look absolutely stupid, she was fully vibrant and healthy looking in this debate with no signs of any health issues that would disqualify her to be President. (Whether that is true or the result of heavy duty medical care is not what will matter, it is the way she came across people will notice).
I’d put the result at a draw, but that doesn’t mean others will, be interesting to see who believes who was the winner as it sinks in.

Well, for the few minutes I actually watched, it seemed Donald did what he needed to do and gave some good responses and looked like he knew what he was talking about. I just can’t stand looking at Hillary. Ever.

The nation is drowning in debt, foreign hordes are swarming across the Southern border, and uppity BLM is torching our cities. You’d think there would be a great sense of urgency in this debate. Instead from Lester Holt we get IRS returns, birth certificate, Trump not paying window washers and catcalling beauty pageant bimbos. If Americans fall for this tripe they fully deserve what they get.
