A hamburger chain, Jack in the Box, was accused of using Kangaroo meat in place of beef a number of years ago.
They claimed they didn’t, and maybe they didn’t since it was never proven they did AFAIK, but I and a few other people I knew always thought their burgers tasted funny.
Not like chicken, more like slightly rotten beef or something. Not really bad but not really good either.
