Things fall apart; the center cannot hold;

The photo above was posted on Drudge and was, ironically, linked to The Sun.

Also, if you have time, check out this horrifying video:

Signs in the heavens, economic bubbles, trials by fire, hurricanes and the raging of the seas. Somehow I’m thinking my property insurance premiums are about to increase.  But will the center hold? If not, how will we know? I’m looking at the bond market. If that blows, there goes the dollar. I suppose a North Korean EMP might do it as well.  What say you?

Some say the world will end in fire, Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice, I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice Is also great
And would suffice.

If you go back 1,000 years or 2,000 or etc., you would have been living through much more scarier times and with an absolute shorter miserable life without the medical/dental care of today.

Fear sells.

Those times were not on a universally worldwide bases.

Many parts of the world were growing, developing and prospering then, isolated from the events in Europe, we don’t see that now.

Today, no part of the world is unaffected or unconnected from the others, and no part is actually still developing culturally and prospering in that new development.

Most of your reply to my comment doesn’t apply.

“Those times were not on a universally worldwide bases. ”
BFD; it was sa small world and population compared to today but my comment still applies.

If you lived in the best time of history prior to the last 300 years, would you choose that of the horrible fear-mongering we put up with on a daily basis (but with medical and dental). One of the reasons the life expectancy was so short cuz they wanted to die and escape their immense misery/pain.

I thought you were at least more intelligent than to make a statement like that.

Apparently, I was wrong.

There were some good aspects too, and no signs that people wanted to die because they didn’t have modern medicine! Despite which lack, some people lived to an extreme old age, and the birth rate was very high…

Complex systems are inherently unstable; i.e. cannot hold. The current complexity is beyond imagining.

Yes, something will upset the applecart eventually….It could be just increasing entropy, as the population is already beyond carrying capacity in the long run.

On top of it all there is an impending civil war garaunteed by Antifa for Nov 4th of this year. It’s like the planet just can’t catch a break lately….

Antifa is losing it’s growing support, if they call for this and it fails they will fade away quickly the way Occupy did.

It will be interesting to see how much, if any, real disturbance they can cause. I’m thinking that if the manage any, it will be grossly over reported by the MSM who is also starting to fail in their anti right efforts.

“The center WILL hold” – for the [still productive] ” fly-over ‘deplorables’ ” who are inland, GROUNDed/GROUPed/GUNned/GARDENed. The Soros/HildaBeast/Obummer-SUBsidized chump-change “coasters” are the least-capable of saving their own, pathetic selves let a lone provide anything whatsoever to the most needy/vulnerable.

The center’s not supposed to hold. It is supposed to coalesce, deliquesce, move.

I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings or point out the superior nature of MY deck boards, purchased from an Amish mill and installed by my Mennonite builders almost 4 years ago, but…

things do not always fall apart.

Has nothing to do with the pending civil war but my deck boards are just a mess…..variable thicknesses, lengths and amount of surface rot…….but all together, they have character. To bring about some consistency, I recently just painted over all of them. Oh, did i mention the cracks between the boards are just as variable?

Nice. I read somewhere that AZEK Deck Boards doesn’t stand behind its product.
