So true. I was hoping a thread today would be propitious for something I read last night. A Hard Scrabbled Geneticist would appreciate the gist of the article in the NYT. It goes directly to why some genes/genetic pools predispose to nurturing and the success of those so nurtured, even if they do not carry the ‘nurture’ gene complex. It echos themes I have heard posited here many times.
Not so many votes in treating people equally as it seems.
Propitious As One Wishes

The article did not go in to what happens when you dilute the ‘nurture’ gene pool with too many ‘outsiders’ from places that lack the degree of empathy and nurture common in the dominant society.
