This quote is a good reminder that the violations of our rights that appear to be taking place at an alarming rate today have in reality been occurring for decades and longer.
Government feeds off of getting all up in our business and trying to control our lives. Throw in taxation and the bajillion laws that guarantees that we commit multiple crimes per day and the government owns us.
It’s not pretty but I’ll still take a democratic republic over anarchy or an oligarchy any day… but can I have my democratic republic back, please?
