Not to be anally-scientific, but the process involves slicing the penis down the middle, inverting it up the inguinal canal (the passage the testicles descended down and the cavity that is analogous to the female vagina), sewing it in place, and then fashioning the external parts from the tissue of the scrotum. The penis is not removed, but the balls are. I’m not saying there is anything right about this butchery, or that it will somehow address the clearly severe mental health issues that prevent the man from accepting his gender and all that comes with it…..just trying to correct what seems to be a common misconception about the surgery. And yes, it is a bit painful to just think about it long enough to write about it.
