Why The Right Should Start Taking Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Seriously

Guest Post by Jesse Kelly

Earlier this week, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez put up a tweet so mind-numbingly stupid that simply calling it “factually incorrect” would be an insult to the word “incorrect.” As is to be expected in the social media world, folks on the right ripped the incoming congresswoman to shreds for it.

Here were some of the typical responses: “This is factually incorrect!” “We cannot have someone this stupid in the government!” “This is what happens when we elect someone with no experience.” “Sure, this message is popular. Too bad it’s all wrong.”

Learning From The Left’s Mistakes

Take a moment and look at those responses again. Do they look familiar? They are the exact same arguments the politico class made against then-candidate Donald Trump for two straight years, right up until the point he carpet-bombed Hillary Clinton on election night.

Yes, the tweet was incorrect. Yes, it would be nice if the people in our government had some actual knowledge about the things they talk about. Still, it is critical for folks on the right to avoid the mistakes made by the left. We must learn from how they treated (and treat) President Trump and endeavor not to make the same mistakes.

Do not underestimate this woman, and do not think your savage mockery of her stupidity will be an effective tool to stop her. It won’t. It will instead be personalized by her supporters, creating an army that will lay down and die for her (or at least vote for her), just like the army Trump has. You should be afraid of Ocasio-Cortez. Be much more afraid than you are.

Through thick and thin, up and down, one thing about elections in America has never changed: you cannot win them without non-political people. It is the undecided masses who decide elections. They do not watch YouTube videos of Milton Friedman breaking down economics, and they’re unimpressed that you graduated summa cum laude. They may only glance at the nightly news for a few minutes, but they will get on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

That can be difficult to accept, especially for legacy media families who grew up with Walter Cronkite as the most powerful news source in America. Today, social media is Walter Cronkite. Candidates like Ocasio-Cortez who know and embrace this will have a leg up on the rest of the nation.

It is human nature to over-inflate one’s importance. We all do this. We pretend whatever we are doing is uniquely important and valuable. Doctors do this, but it is not reserved for the white-collar professions. Want to hear about the glory and importance of a man’s job? Talk to a cattle rancher. He’ll happily oblige you with all the reasons why his career is uniquely difficult while also letting you know he’s extremely important to America itself.

Now, he’s not wrong. Ranchers are great and important people. My folks have a ranch. The point is that he and everyone else over-inflate their lot in life as a way of validating themselves.

Nowhere is this more apparent than political punditry. Every single person who talks politics for a living is convinced he knows the inside scoop, has the pulse of the American people, and has some special control over the outcome of the next election. They don’t. The next national election (and the next hundred after that) will come down to one thing: Who do the relatively non-political people prefer?

Ocasio-Cortez Seems Extra-Relatable

In politics, there is no ability like relatability. Gone are the days of needing a scroll-like political resume like George H.W. Bush. This is the age of Barack Obama. He was twice elected president. This is the age of Donald Trump. He has a list of transgressions that would have sunk any candidate trying to get elected before the 21st century. But that was then. This is now.

And now is the age of social media. This is the age where a tidal wave of support can and does come from anywhere. Social media allows candidates for office to let the public see them with their blemishes. With a push of a button, you can watch Ocasio-Cortez make instant mac and cheese like a college freshman. She’s pretty. She’s young enough to understand and take advantage of this current political world. Most importantly, her naiveté about the things of government make her more appealing to the common man, not less.

Ocasio-Cortez is a socialist. Socialism is just communism dressed up in high heels and lipstick. It is a tremendous evil and a scourge upon the face of the planet. It has killed far more people than Nazism, racism, or any of the other isms combined, and America is not as far from it as you might think. Don’t believe me? Here are the Bernie Sanders versus Donald Trump polls from last election. Very scary stuff.

So go ahead laugh at Ocasio-Cortez. That’s fine. Sit in your Foggy Bottom townhouse and mock the dullard from the Bronx as she eats the food of the unwashed masses. Squeal with delight every time she fails basic civics. After all, this freshman congresswoman, her peasant food, and her Boston University degree wouldn’t even be allowed in the front door of your tennis club.

But know this; the people who decide the next election like easy mac and cheese, and they’ll never step foot in a tennis club. She speaks the language President Trump speaks, and she speaks it well. Let’s hope we smarten up and don’t carry her to the White House one day as the left carried Trump.

Let us for a moment entertain the woman is not stupid. Why don’t we simply vet her, i.e., look into her educational background, her IQ, her affiliations, her job history, her accomplishments and failures, and anything else that may disclose who she really is. In other words, microscope her life. Then we can formulate a plan of offense if it is necessary.

Great article, Jesse Kelly. I totally agree. Her solutions to anything are mind-boggling dumb. But her analysis of the problems is pretty spot-on. The right-left thing is a joke. Let it go. It’s us against the machine. The corrupt monopolistic organized crime machine. If we can bring that down, we can start arguing about right and left again. The only thing I would argue with you, Jesse, is give up the part about communism killing all those people. Her kind of communism isn’t going to kill anybody. The failure to restrain the predatory and parasitic aspects of our economy has resulted in a situation where our system has been stolen. Tucker Carlson has been all over this lately. I’ll find some video and post it

What about the 800lb Gorilla in the room?

Trumps good friend Epstein TOOK CIVIL RESPONSIBILITY FOR CHILD RAPES ON WEDNESDAY! Trump could easily order an immediate criminal prosecution, but that would expose Trumps cabinet member Acostas criminal, slimy, and illegitimate non-prosecution agreement with Epstein (under Obama) from 2013.

Epstein, an uncharged pedophile WALKING AROUND IN BROAD DAYLIGHT, could easily be prosecuted by Trump and whatever AG is in the office at the moment.

But why isn’t he??

Instead of keeping their eye on the ball, everyone is kvetching about Paris and the Stock Market.

Epstein is not an uncharged pedophile. He has been convicted, sentenced and released. You can’t charge him again, that would be double jeopardy.

Right now, my wife and I are traveling on 95 South to see my daughter in Richmond. We have EasyPass. My wife says…”I can’t believe everyone doesn’t have easy pass”, as we watch the parking lot of dead-stopped cars who do not have EasyPass.

I said…maybe they don’t have any other choice. To me, that is an example of paritisism…a public good reserved for those who can afford it.

Like it or not, good or bad, right or wrong…wealth and income inequality will lead to very bad things if it gets bad enough. Book it danno.

What we have is not capitalism. If it was 2008 would have had a much more reconstructive outcome which would have been more productive for the future. What we have is government meddling in the economy with trillions in dept obligations mortgaged to the future to prop up failures that the men in charge owed for past success or were promised fortune to keep afloat. Its closer to fascism than capitalism and I would suggest its the road to socialism because once a people accept government handouts as business as usual its only a matter of time. In capitalism there is no “too big to fail”. Miss Cortes is a symptom of the disease and it may be terminal.

Maybe I’m reading the wrong tweet, but what I read about Pentagon accounting deception isn’t totally incorrect. It’s actually closer to being right than wrong. We know they failed an audit recently, and Dr. Mark Skidmore and his team of graduate students at Michigan State, did discover trillions of dollars worth of unspecified adjustments to their accounts. Now whether that is real cash expense or not, is another matter, but certainly not the accounting irregularities.

I don’t know much about Ocasio-Cortez, maybe she is stupid, but the tweet I read wasn’t out of line. What is most disturbing to me is the lack of public concern about the finances of government agencies. It seems the more outrageous they are, the more they’re ignored.

RT – are you a complete moron? The amount she is bandying about, $21 trillion, is more than thas EVER been spent in entirety by the defence department. In what fucking universe is that closer to being correct than being wrong.

What they cannot do is track all the transfers, from department to department, fthe payments to other suppliers, etc. There are huge discrepancies in the ledgers, but the idea that $21 trilion just went poof! is nonsensical. The fact that it is more than the sum of all money EVER allocated to defence shows that it is the sum of ledger entries that they cannot balance. There will of course be fraud and corruption. But thinking the $21 trillion has been stolen, or can be clawed back out of the budget, is simply absurd.

Get a damn clue.

I know any reply to a towering, genius like you is probably useless, but Skidmore and his team studied accounts back to the 90’s for the Pentagon and HUD, and came up with approximately $21 trillion in accounting irregularities. Now I know geniuses like you don’t need to be told that accounting adjustments are not necessarily stealing cash – it’s probably mostly attributable to incompetence and poor control.

Why don’t you write Skidmore and call him a moron for what he uncovered? Also. let him know you’re a genius so he won’t be offended.

Accounting irregularities, was as I mentioned, ledger entries. Many items are listed many, many, many times. Tank goes from x to y, no entry, tank worth millions. Same tank goes from y to z, no entry on receipt, entry on when it left y, tank worth millions. Over and over again. Perhaps hundreds of millions of audit discrepancies on that same tank. And hence the huge number that bears no resemblance to actual money spent, lost, defrauded.

RT – I am a fucking genius. You, on the other hand, seem too stupid to pour piss out of a boot. You are the imbecile that said she is closer to being right than wrong. It does not get any stupider than that.

I’ve been calling this for years now. Bernie literally has been buying small government positions across the nation. Two city council slots and a few other “entry level” political positions in my home town just swung hard liberal on the back of his online empire (thanks for the term Stossel).

This is dangerous. Its throwing gasoline onto a fire already fueled by debt and fanned by manufactured hate.

The absolute worst things you could do would be to A) Underestimate her, or B) think being ignorance is a hindrance to her cause. It isn’t.

The only way to combat this is to DIRECTLY draw the link between her and Stalin/Mao. Pictures. Numbers. Genocide. Brutality. Socialism = Stalin, Stalin = Evil, Socialism = Evil.

Use pictures, and only talk about the massive failures. Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot – All featured genocides that were the rival of hitler.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of truth in this, and there is as much to be feared as there is to be mocked. A perfect example of what happens when dumb people elect dumb people can currently be seen north of the 49th parallel. And that’s what happens, dumb people vote for some one they can identify with. They do not look at the big picture, they do not do “background checks”, they do not weigh policies or platforms. No, they expend about as much effort towards choosing who to vote for as they would towards a Tinder swipe. And that, in a nutshell, is what happened in Canada in 2015.

The current PM of Canada is dumber than a bag of rocks, and just as far left (if not further) as AOC. It is distressing how such an incompetent moron, born with everything else going for him (inherited wealth, looks, privilege and a famous last name) could achieve so LITTLE by his mid 40’s, and still somehow be placed in a position to rise to the highest office in the country. This is a guy who failed grade 7, dropped out of university not once but twice because he couldn’t cut it, and when first elected had a resume that was no more impressive than AOC’s (snowboard instructor, part time drama teacher and bouncer are the only jobs he has ever held).

I could go on and on about what purely stupid things come out of his mouth, and what purely stupid policies emanate from his party (both almost on a daily basis), but I don’t need to – its all out there in public. Besides, he isn’t even really in charge – the Global Socialists. Soros, etc. basically run Canada now – Trudeau is just their sock puppet. Be warned, America – your poor cousins to the north are shaping up to be the next Venezuela, and quickly, due to their own version of “AOC” allowing the destruction of what little is left of a once beautiful country and once prosperous ally. Learn from their mistakes, as it’s too late for them.

Sad, but true without respect for private property and individual rights “public” can turn quickly into just others taking your land/stuff. Politics and a resonable degree of stability in the US has made too many forget that power eventually comes at the point of a gun, or the threat of it.

Regarding Ocasio, I think she just represents the mentality of the new victim-heirarchy crowd and how they view power by division. I started reading Kurt S’s fiction books about the US split up Blue’s vs. Red’s and I’ve enjoyed the first one. But his fictional account does a fairly good job of showing what an end game would look like for the Blue’s, basically communism with an elite using victim status coding and such to keep people brainwashed and easily controlled. At least in his fiction books the Red area remains the US and the two coasts become the “People’s Republic”. If nearly half of 20 year olds think socialism is great, lets hope a fair amount of them wake up, before they decide force is their answer to “fairness”.
