I understand the intent of the music (with changed lyrics) but I was struck by the quality of the performance, and by the obvious self-respect of the four ladies singing backup. “Lo how the mighty have fallen” and how sad for both blacks and whites to compare this to what passes for “entertainment” on todays’ screens. May God have mercy on us all!
