Overpopulated, Income-Unequal California Finds Solution: More Immigration!

Guest Post by Joe Guzzardi

Only a few of us are still around – native-born Californians who lived in the paradise-like state before the 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act and after the disastrous 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act. Reading the handwriting on the wall, anticipating continued unwieldy immigration-fueled population growth and the diminished quality of life that it brings, hundreds of thousands like me that experienced the early and great California fled.

More than half a century of sustained immigration has affected California more dramatically than any other state. Among the changes to which over-immigration have contributed are overcrowded schools and hospitals, bumper-to-bumper freeway traffic, American blue-collar worker job displacement, sprawl, a housing crisis, wildfirespoverty with the attendant income inequality now worse than Mexico’s, and urban decay that remolded the state’s two major cities, Los Angeles and San Francisco, into homeless havens.

Crowdifornia – Are we still living the dream?

Yet, despite California’s obvious decline, 47 of its 53 U.S. representatives and its U.S. senators, Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris, enthusiastically support unlimited immigration. Since Feinstein was San Francisco’s mayor during its salad years, 1977-1987, her immigration passion is a puzzle. Homelessness, crime and public drug abuse now plague the once glorious City by the Bay that Feinstein once presided over.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom, following in the footsteps of his predecessors, Gray Davis and Jerry Brown, is all-aboard with California’s no borders congressional delegation. In his ongoing and juvenile dust-up with President Trump over border security, Newsom ordered National Guard troops removed. Then, less than a week later, Newsom gloated that his pending lawsuit opposing President Trump’s National Emergency declaration would be California’s 46th legal challenge against the administration, many of them immigration-related.

More immigration is the goal of California’s leadership. This means more job competition and flat wages for new hires. Legal and illegal immigration has devastated at least three of California’s white- and blue-collar employment categories that historically offered Americans living wages, benefits and pensions:  Silicon Valley’s IT industry, the construction trade and building maintenance.

First, in Silicon Valley and the surrounding area, only 29 percent of tech workers are American citizens. The majority are foreign-born H-1B visa holders whose presence in IT displaces skilled, qualified Americans and shuts off opportunities for blacks, Hispanics and other minorities. Despite countless reports issued over the decades that identified H-1B visa abuse and pointed out that U.S. universities graduate more than enough talented Americans to fill IT employment opportunities, no positive reforms are in the offing. In fact, Sen. Harris and long-time H-1B shill U.S. Rep. Zoe Lofgren introduced bills that would assure that 75-80 percent of employment-based visas would go to Indian nationals.

H-1B critic John Miano, co-author of “Sold Out,” described the proposed legislation as “the most massive change” in immigration policy history, creating a “train wreck” in America’s immigration system.

Second, Americans once dominated Los Angeles’ unionized construction crews. Then, nonunion immigrants gradually replaced them. And eventually so many job-seeking immigrants arrived on the scene that American and immigrant construction workers alike saw their decent wages plunge.

Third, in the mid-1980s black Americans held the majority of janitorial jobs in Los Angeles. Through their union, the janitors won good-paying jobs that provided stepping stones to better positions. But the increasing availability of an immigrant workforce enabled nonunion janitorial firms to hire immigrants at half the union wage and quickly place them in jobs Americans once held. In its 1988 report, Illegal Aliens: Influence of Illegal Workers on Wages and Working Conditions of Legal Workers, the Government Accounting Office provided a detailed analysis of how Americans lost their good jobs to unlawfully present migrants.

Given what’s known – that more immigration means more people, a reduced quality of life, and more cheap labor job competition that undermines American workers – California’s determination to stay the failed course it has traveled for decades baffles those who look at the state from afar.

I visited my sister who is living in LA 2 weeks ago. Everyday day I would ask her or myself “why does anyone put up with this insanity”? Traffic can make a 20 mile drive take longer than 2-3 hours. You plan your day around traffic patterns. Gas was $ 4.40 in SantaMonica. Bums everywhere pushing carts and peeing on sidewalks. House prices, food prices, stress, bums, taxed on EVERYTHING, ahhh, living the dream…….Keep it

Not a mystery at all, the elites/politicians of CA simply want power. Illegal immigration brings in “problems” and of course Di Fi and Jerry Brown et al are the solutions. Give us more power and we will fix the problems we caused! A wonderful example of Hegelian dialectic writ large. But but but they have destroyed the place you say. Correct but that’s the difference the power-mad left would rather rule over the ashes of the once great state of CA or the USA etc than not have power.

Now the folks that vote them into power (Hitler was also legitimately voted in initially as was Chavez etc) are supported by the weak and craven who while knowing they are voting to hurt others, vote to enhance themselves. Our republic has reached tipping as all democracies and republics before have…..the government is unsustainable when the majority figures out they can make themselves better off if they simply vote to take other peoples “Stuff”…….

Baffling? Not at all. The current condition of California is the natural result of a worthless political class with absolutely no understanding of history, no concern for the (real) American people, greedy, ignorant, unprincipled, and, most of all, a muddled-headed Mr. McGoo attitude, people who actually believe much of the nonsense they spout. At this point it is useless to even discuss the California situation. Only military occupation of the state, mass expulsions of post-1965 immigrants (exceptions for those who have clean records, no history of accepting government handouts and no active participation in the Democrat Party), and heavy prison terms for the Pelosi´s, Newsom´s, and Becerra´s will suffice to turn things around.

Two anecdotes. My first impression of the last time I flew into a LAX. A black beggar -obviously insane – lowering his ragged pants and taking a dump in a flowerbed outside the terminal.

Second. In my career I often had to entertain visitors from the U.S. I remember, and quite vividly, how strange middle and upper-middle class Californians were. Frankly, they were like children. Big, nice, well-dressed, articulate, reasonable, smiling, clueless children. They were completely oblivious to anything unpleasant, difficult or controversial. If any subject came up that required the least amount of hard-nosed analysis or the voicing of ugly truths, the smiles froze on their faces and they tried to escape by any means possible. I grew to have complete contempt for them. There were exceptions, mainly folks from outside the urban areas, decent, patriotic, sensible Americans who were all too aware of the fact that they were trapped in a lunatic asylum.

Any solution to our national catastrophe will have to include stern measures to first cleanse and then re-educate California. If it takes a Drano enema to wake these people up, so be it.

I 100% agree with the nice but oblivious people. The abnormal has been normalized.

……and taking a dump in a flowerbed………
The author of “Outlaw Patrol” tells of his first minutes at the walled-in compound near the Pakistani border that would be home for far too many months: he got out of the chopper and saw excrement all over the ground, then saw a native (on Army payroll) take a dump, wipe his ass with his right hand and then move on.

That also explains the custom of cutting off the right hand of thieves: they will then have to wipe with their left hand, the same unwashed hand they feed themselves with.

I have a solution for it all! Leave the border walls open to Californication on the their SOUTH. Then put up a new border fence on the their EAST and NORTH including all along Oregon, or make it impossible to get over the mountains. Then divest the state from the union, and have them create their own country called SHITLAND, with its own Gay flag. Give them no government money or help in any way. Send all their asshole politicians home back beyond the wall. Then let them rot in the fecal growth that exists, and grows daily, where they can eat each other along with the other rats!

Austria: Iraqi asylum seeker afforded beauty surgery in Istanbul+++
An Iraqi asylum seeker flew from Salzburg to Istanbul to undergo a beauty surgery. For many citizens, such cosmetic repair would be out of the question for cost reasons alone, which in turn raises the question of how a ” person looking for protection ” can afford this treatment when receiving social benefits. Asylum seekers are severely traumatised, but the trauma due to persecution suddenly seems to vanish into thin air when they spend their holidays at home or when they are jetting to a beauty doc.

The newspaper Kronen Zeitung reports:

An Iraqi asylum seeker living in Salzburg, who obtained a Convention passport with a false identity card and received welfare benefits from us, afforded a beauty surgery in Istanbul.
The 34-year-old had presented a forged document in order to apply for asylum in Austria. In any case, he received the Convention passport, which allows him to fly to many countries, but not to his home country, where he was allegedly persecuted.
The 34-year-old had presented a forged document in order to apply for asylum in Austria. In any case, he received the Convention passport, which allows him to fly to many countries, but not to his home country, where he was allegedly persecuted. The man received the welfare benefits. At the end of 2018 he finally flew to the Turkish metropolis of Istanbul for almost a month. There, the Iraqi underwent a beauty surgery.
After his return, the man was charged with fraudulent behaviour of third parties towards public welfare authorities. He should have reported the stay abroad. The damage amounts to several hundred euros. How the Iraqi could afford a cosmetic surgery and the flight is still unclear. The police are investigating.

Its hard to feel sorry for union workers, college graduates and niggers who vote for the Democrats. They cut their own throats and I cant care about them any less.

Once again, throw the baby out with the bath water if you wish, but remember Trump got almost 4 million votes from California. That’s second only to Texas.

That said (and I’ve said it before) the place really does reek more and more. Even my home of Orange County went to the dark side in the midterms and I have a Demonrat representative for the first time ever.

Head down.
One foot in front of the other.
