That is comedy gold. And I’m not saying that in jest, it is as pure bone deep funny as it gets because it fits every angle. There’s a great set up- a dynastic heir apparent confronted by someone from the lowest rung of the social ladder, the old ‘rich guy shown something profound by rube’ bit. Really nuanced build up of tension- watch her eyes as she realizes that this has suddenly gone from a worshipful exchange- like she’s been used to her entire life, especially in these pandering session/pity-fests that progressives attend the way Christians go to church for Christmas and Easter- to an auto da fe’. That’s what mugging victims look like when they see the pistol pointed at them. And it builds. And it builds. She starts to rock her well practiced prayer hands big time, like she’s choking a chicken, wishing she could bolt, but knows she can’t. And the one-two punch line-49 people died because of the rhetoric you put out there! FINGER SNAPPING HIPSTER CHORUS. There’s the physical ‘I’ve just been shot in the heart’ reaction from Chelsea, gobsmacked at the impudence, but surrounded, no way out but to continue to take their impudence. And then a great tag-line at the end. “What does I’m sorry you feel that way mean? What does that mean?” in the most simpering and snarky tone imaginable. I laughed.
And here’s the thing, everyone knows, knows, that Chelsea Clinton looks at those people, her constituents, like the mouth breathers they are. She is there not to share in their grief, but to capitalize on it. And those kids, in their obvious self-interest, are able to not only understand what’s really going on, but articulate it. Brutally. They just performed a ritualized tar and feathering, and Big Bird felt every bit of it.

This brings up a question or perhaps just an observation. Two years ago on Palm Sunday, Muslim “racist haters” murdered the same number of Christians in a church in Egypt. There was no 24/7 coverage. No one blamed the NRA or Arab Spring Obama, or Jenna Bush. Unlike the NZ prime minister donning a hijab to show just how f’ing sincere, submissive and sympathetic to foreign culture she is, the President of Egypt didn’t show up wearing a Crucifix to express condolences.
The media did not rail on and on how Obama was responsible for a Muslim or Egyptian Nationalism or that Obama encouraged and wink, wink, nod nodded the Muslim terrorist murderers nor did they go on and on about what Muslim terrorist murderers the killers worshipped and idolized.
This over the top, selective “beat up on the white guys” and somehow tie this sick bastard from Australia up with keeping a foreign invasion and drugs, human trafficking and crime out of the US, essentially condemning all the normal Americans is why their self fulfilling prophecy of a race war could come to pass. It is on them. We try to live our lives and mind our business but THEY will just not leave us alone. Do they really think this does anything but “make the Saxon hate?”

HSF, I agree with everything you said until the last line. The emotions of the underclass rolled off the Hubbell child’s back like water off any duck. It looks like she was humored if anything, by the audacity of a peon to even question her prestige and prominence.
I’m just going by her body language. What’s in her head? Who knows, but she was definitely at a disadvantage in that exchange and hyper aware of the imbalance of power when it tilted that way.
I-of the “it is best to understand your enemy camp”-differ. The Hubbell child is well coached in public encounter. Though she supposedly graduated from Stanford University does not necessarily mean she is smart, only that she was able to receive their piece of paper. More to the point, she has been well trained in the art of deflecting all kinds of stuff when out and about mingling with the unwashed masses. Case in point: a few years ago there was some kind of book signing where she was approached by a well known professional heckler who puts his videotaped interactions with his target on the ‘net. She was calm, collected, and annoyingly mundane in her repetitive responses to his blatant questions about her mother’s criminality. That suggested good training and-like it or not-a good response on her part. Doesn’t mean I would ever agree about anything she has ever said or done, only that she knows how to carry herself in that kind of situation.
One other point: she seems to be a good-maybe even polished-public speaker. (Don’t agree? Then compare her to her mother’s lame public speaking style). As someone who is responsible for lining up an effective left wing nutjob female to speak to a fawning audience and it is desired to have some level of competence on the part of the speaker chosen (and paid the big $$$) and the choice is either the Hubbell Kid or AOC, who would you chose? Me? I’m going with Webb’s kid.
With the recent admissions scandal I think we can all guess how she got into Stanford. She may be well trained with a piece of paper to proclaim it, but that doesn’t make her intelligent or educated.
That will just mean fewer bullets the rest of us will need to expend when the SHTF. I look forward to the open violence of the muslims against the gays, the feminists, and the trannies.
The only day I would fear is the one where we read of these nihilist people buying guns themselves or forming militias for their own “securities”. Otherwise, we have little to fear, for a house divided against itself cannot stand.
