Sri Lanka blast news – LIVE: Eighth explosion reported after bombing attacks at churches and hotels leave at least 130 dead

Via The Independent

At least 130 people have been killed and hundreds more wounded in a series of explosions at churches and hotels across Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.

At least eight bombings have been reported, with three churches in Kochchikade, Negombo and Batticaloa targeted during Easter services.

Three hotels in the capital Colombo – the Shangri La, Cinnamon Grand and Kingsbury – were also hit, followed by two more blasts at a small hotel and a housing complex on the outskirts of the city. Foreign tourists are believed to be among those killed on Sunday.

British tourist Julian Emmanuel – staying at the Cinnamon Grand hotel in Colombo with his family when the explosion took place – has spoken about the ordeal.
He told the BBC: “We were in our room and heard a large explosion. It woke us up. There were ambulances, fire crews, police sirens.
“I came out of the room to see what’s happening, we were ushered downstairs.
“We were told there had been a bomb. Staff said some people were killed. One member of staff told me it was a suicide bomber.”

More details on the seventh bombing in Dehiwela, on the outskirts of Colombo. “There was an explosion in a hotel in Dehiwela near the zoo,” a police official told Reuters.
Two people reportedly died in the attack. A witness told local TV he saw some body parts, including a severed head, lying on the ground near the hotel. Officials declared the zoo closed after the blast.

Sri Lankan media organisations are reporting that the eighth explosion has occurred at a housing complex in Dematagoda, a suburb of the capital Colombo.

The Sri Lanka government has said it has shutdown access to social media and messaging services. It has also declared a nationwide curfew, from 6pm to 6am local time.
“A curfew will be imposed until things settle down,” junior defence minister Ruwan Wijewardene told reporters in Colombo.

AFP are reporting an eighth explosion in Sri Lankan capital Colombo.

The Indian foreign ministry has released a statement condemning the attacks.
“India has always opposed and rejected terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, and has urged concerted action by the international community against terrorism, including cross-border terrorism. There can be no justification whatsoever for any act of terror.
“We call for perpetrators of such ghastly and heinous act and those who provide them support to be brought to justice expeditiously. We stand together with the people and Government of Sri Lanka in this hour of grief.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin denounced the attacks as “cruel and cynical”.
In a telegram of condolences sent to his Sri Lankan counterpart, the Russian leader said Moscow remains a “reliable partner of Sri Lanka in the fight against international terrorism”.
He added that the Russians “share the grief of the relatives of those killed and wish a quick recovery to all those who were wounded”.
Mr Putin voiced confidence that “the perpetrators and the masterminds of such a cruel and cynical crime committed amid the Easter festivities will take the punishment they deserve”.

Zero situational awareness.

If you are in an urban area and a bomb goes off, if you aren’t helping friends or family, GTFO! You don’t gather around the bombing site with your cell phone taking video for World Star Hip-Hop. GTFO! And not one in fifty people were even rendering aid. Blood soaked dude just wanders on by why everyone else just stands around with their Iphone taking selfies.

It’s beyond situational awareness. Christians are detached from reality!!! They have been neutered by cultural Marxism and sheer retardation!

I can’t get this microfarm up and running soon enough.

I wouldn’t bet on that.
For peculiar reasons the progressive libtards of the world seem to be threatened and angered by the ideas of a supposedly dead heretical Jew.
I believe His philosophy makes them feel guilty. I wonder why. /s

Where is the Christian leader who will stand up to this?

The West needs a Caesar because it is currently ungovernable in its oligarchic state. If the current state of affairs is “democracy”, I’ll take a benevolent emperor.

I wouldn’t bet on the Vatican or anyone therein taking on the mantle of defender of the faith. If they did it would be open season for every potential jihadist martyr you could find.
Ratzinger recused himself a long time ago after finding a declaration against Muslims and degenerates didn’t go over so well, preferring to defer to Bergoglio, who’s a defender of the corrupt pedophile mafia running the Vatican.
I’d look elsewhere.

Absolutely not. Jorge was the final nail in the coffin for my Catholic faith. As far as I’m concerned, he’s an apostate. We need Julius Caesar and the history behind him is not what is commonly accepted.

franklin graham is the highest profile christian leader that i have heard stand up & speak the truth regarding our culture & it’s direction–
maybe he’ll decide to take a higher profile regarding islam–currently there are many christian leaders who believe that we can convert enough muslims to neutralize the threat, the same as republicans who pussyfoot around with minority groups because of the “…if we could peel away 10% of the black vote …”or “…hispanics are natural conservatives …” bullsh..–

You need a Christian monarch in control of a military to win a religious war. Not an Evangelical calling for “religions of peace” to turn their swords into plowshares.

Yes indeed. If memory serves me, it was an appointment during times of strife, particularly economic. Gaius Julius singlehandedly solved a property crisis and a pretty nasty economic downturn, despite the Senate outcries when their loans were partially dismissed.

Dear Proles,

It’s still to early to jump to conclusions. Officially this was just eight random short circuits until an investigation has been completed. The most important thing to remember is that Islam is the religion of peace and no connection exists between peace loving Muslims and these attacks. These 8 random acts of electrical short circuitry should not serve to stoke the flames of Islamophobic bigotry.

Sincerely,

Your Betters

This cannot continue in its current state. I told my wife last night in bed that the West is a sick excuse of a defender of the Lord. Her father is a Methodist preacher and that church is on the verge of schism. A house divided cannot stand and the West is unable to utilize democracy to unite.

Those who live by the sword die by the sword, true. However, the Lord never said we don’t have a right to self-defense!

Agreed.
In time things will deteriorate and there will be a reckoning when the spiritually dead degenerates among us will reach too far, declaring there’s no middle ground to be had. They’re already doing this to some degree because our morality and warped rule of law allows it.
Pick your battles, protect your own, and prepare accordingly.

In a sick and twisted way, they are right. There will come a point in time where everyone in the world will have to choose sides. Sitting on the fence will be intolerable. If I were a betting man, it’d be when the West crashes and burns. Choose to be on the side of united Christianity in its most pure form (i.e. Apostolic Age, not organized religious sects), or choose “something else”. It won’t matter what the “something else” is.

Paul and Peter went at it in Antioch. Peaceful debate with “agreeing to disagree” is a crock of shit at this juncture. IMHO Sam Adams my hero was right about the Tories: Go forth and forget you were our countrymen, and lick the hands of your masters.

The great fallacy about Christianity is that we aren’t allowed to defend ourselves. Christ never said be a doormat and allow yourselves to be beaten and killed. We are dealing with an enemy who will kill every Christian if given the opportunity. They’ve proven that fact over and over. Anyone who says Muslims only kill Christians because of what American hegemony has done in the Middle East is beyond naive. Look to history to understand the war, we are in Crusades Part Two.

“They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.”

“Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.”

Says Jesus. If I remember correctly, in Roman occupied countries, possession of a sword was a death sentence.

The Empire was no different than ours. Can you imagine a plebeian being allowed to possess a sword who was not a member of the Legion? Gasp, he could make a Senator pay for his corruption! Diocletian was especially tyrannical in this regard when he implemented wage and price controls.

I suppose it wouldn’t change anything but, on the same day and time as the Notre Dame fire the Mosque at the Temple Mount caught fire mysteriously and burned for quite a while before it was put out. A prominent Jerusalem Rabbi said churches in Israel should be burned while also claiming if the Temple Mount isn’t retaken there is no Israel.

Citizens who are interstate felons aren’t exactly setting a good standard.
If the militias are willing to be involved they should be on the good side of the local sheriff and request to be deputized. There’s legal precedence for doing so and I’d like to see it happen, especially if the sheriff is reasonable.

One of the reasons for allowing the muslim invaders into western countries was for them to do exactly what they do, destabilize and destroy. Why? Problem, reaction, solution. If western peoples fight back then the gov can come in, declare martial law and instigate the draconian regime. TSA, Patriot Act, FISA, and a host of other authoritarian overreach programs came into being after 9/11 and the destruction of personal freedom continues apace.

It would never work. You could deputize every single Federal employee and be lucky to have one per square mile in this country. And that’s assuming A) 100% compliance; B) No local law enforcement rebellion; C) Ability to pay them on time and at par; and D) Ability to reinforce every single one of them KIA/MIA.

It’s an absolute, farcical strawman that is used to subconsciously terrorize the plebeians. At best they would be able to hold a few big cities. I don’t give a shit, really. Couldn’t happen to better people. The greater concern should be how external powers react. But if China took California, I’d beg them to keep it permanently.

The Deep State is fucking terrified. It is obvious with their concerted effort to divide the nation along socioeconomic/racial lines.

Did not foresee what exactly, sort of thought the yello-vesters would be blamed and we would see a “smack-down” against their protests . . . but nope, looks like I was being “optimistic”. Outright religious warfare is much worse, I think. Not to mention,in theory, worldwide. Everywhere THEY have intermingled them into foreign, non-mohammeden countries with non-mohammeden peoples.

The global Yzlamist Jihadi movements – from Sri Lanka and India to ISIS cells, Al Kayda, Al Shababbab, plus those Yzlamists in Nigeria and Sudan (dont forget all over East Asia, Europe, North and SOuth America either) want to usher in the conditions for their Mahdi.

The only way to put out this raging torrent of hate, mayhem and murder by the Yzlamists to to kill them with extreme prejudice.

Parties responsible for terrorist acts get executed, along with their entire family and even the Imam if implicated as an instigator. The mosque gets closed down too. Don’t like the punishment? You get deported back to Shitholistan or Aleutian Islands, or wherever it is that can tolerate the enemies of civilized people. Antarctica? Greenland?

The same punishment goes for terrorists of any political belief, religious strain or personal pathology: a brutal death with the whole family.

It will surely put a damper on terrorist acts that murder innocents and will at least rid the Earth of the cancerous humans that perpetrate them.

It is well past time to say “ENOUGH!” & “NO MORE!”
