It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. But it is not easy nor inexpensive to do so, especially when those who wish to prevent us from making the truth known, attack us without mercy on all fronts on a daily basis. So each time you visit the site, I would ask that you consider the value that you receive and have received from The Burning Platform and the community of which you are a vital part. I can't do it all alone, and I need your help and support to keep it alive. Prior to any new legislation signed into effect, it should be mandatory to find and eliminate two on the books that shackle people, or just don’t make sense anymore in the current era.

Both at local, and especially at the federal levels.

The politicos think it’s their duty to create more rules, or they’re perceived as do-nothings.

Trying, in vain, to legislate out morality, their version of hate speech, sickness, accidents, death, unbridled prosperity, etc., ad infinitum.

The vampire squid has grown much too large. Tentacles in too many areas of society. Harmful. Unnecessary. Unwanted. Un-American.

Yeah, I know…preaching to the choir here.
…just venting.

It’s good to vent.

“Trying, in vain, to legislate out morality…”

Morality, as you understand, cannot be legislated. If such were possible, Israel would have followed the commandments and Jerusalem would have been that “shining city on the hill” as was/is Gods intent.

The town I grew up in, Flatwoods, KY, still has these laws in the books:
1) You can’t sit on your front porch on Sunday without wearing a shirt.
2) You can’t sit on your front porch on Sunday and drink beer.

If an elephant is tied to a parking meter the fee must be paid as if it were a vehicle. Well, duh. That’s just common sense

Government power and violence NEVER go away. A great read is “Ain’t Nobody’s Business if You Do: The Absurdity of Consensual Crimes in a Free Society” by Peter McWilliams. He has some outstanding examples of just how absurd, power hungry, and idiotic our state governments have gotten.

Somewhere in the burbs of New York…

“Hi honey. How’d your day go, out there patrolling the neighborhood for criminals, keeping us safe?”

“Had a good day. Busted an 8 year old girl for operating a lemonade stand without a license.”

“Then later, we were dispatched by the Mayor, to give a stern warning to her best friend, to cease and desist criticizing members of Congress, under penalty of death. Little cretin looked just like Alexandria.”

“But I made it home safe, and have lived to tase another day.”

Once upon a time, one state had a law making it illegal to carry a firearm – unless you were being chased by an Indian. Wonder if it got removed?

A law against everything is a opportunity for some psychopath prosecutor to go after you when he/she has the need to fuck someone over. And that is why you have laws against everything.
