There is nothing solid to back up the claim that mankind is not capable of sustaining 80 billion and not just 8 billion people.
Mankind went from 1 to 8 billion (an 800% increase) pretty well with far less technology.
Rats can breed quickly and frequently under the proper circumstances. The Black Plague which killed off almost two thirds of Europe left in it’s wake a cleaner environment and gave the survivors a much better life style. Minor point: did you notice the term the questioner used? We started with global warming. That became “climate change”. About two months ago, that changed to the “climate crisis”. Apparently that’s not scary enough, so within the last week or so, it’s changed to “the climate catastrophe”.
