Forecast of about an inch. Typical reaction by the masses.

I topped up the gas Saturday and bought a twelve pack of Sam Adams Winter Lager. I’m set.
We have loads of leftovers, a spare turkey, a bunch meat in the freezer, bock choy and broccoli, twenty pounds of chicken, rice, flour, milk, five dozen eggs, and yeasts for making bread or homemade alcohol.
Always laugh my ass off at these fools. Some people ABSOLUTELY CANNOT drive in one or two inches of snow. Their becoming non-functional in cold weather always makes me happy.

I will never forget years ago when I use to do my weekly shopping on late Sunday afternoon/early evening.

It had late Saturday and into Sunday with the snow stopping around mid day Sunday. When I went out people had time to clear things up and the roads were ‘ok’, not great; so almost nobody was out anywhere and the Stop and Shop was somewhat empty.

When I got to the bread isle, the entire section was empty of every last bread product; even hot dog rolls, hamburger rolls, dinner rolls. The and and only bread product left was a bag of dinner rolls that was half spilled on the shelf.

While I could sort of understand loaf bread being gone, I could not believe apparently as those were all sold that people just had to buy all of the other bread products.

I did a last-minute food recon on Black Friday because I wanted to make biscuits and homemade sausage gravy for the weekend. The expensive dinner rolls in the store were pillaged but I found two packs of biscuits, 5 for a dollar. Milk is stupid expensive in NJ and I relented and paid $3.79 a gallon for two containers.
If I go to Augusta, Georgia, the milk costs half that. It’s stupid, I tell ya.

So wanting to pay half price for milk is stupid … or is bitching about the realities of NJ stupid?
Maybe just living in NJ is stupid. THAT could be it, or maybe someone likes being an idiot and overpaying for food.

Expecting 8-16″ here. Woodstove is cranking at about 700 degrees and about 75 in the house upstairs. Full fridge, freezer and pantry. Generator and solar system both on standby. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Tractor plow and sander ready, 1000 gallon propane tank full. Now I can go bushwacking with the dogs and not get another embedded tick in my flesh like last week again. Win. That said, I hate cold and winter, thinking of heading down to Virginia to retire.
