I really do prefer realistic assessment to emotional defiance. “a nation of 3 millions” and “to the last man” and “WOLVERINES!” and all that has its place, but if you’re relying on it before the conflict even starts then things don’t look so good.

I know you are a military guy and you have seen the awesome firepower and technical capabilities possessed by the US Military. OK, but I think you are making some questionable assumptions:

Why wouldn’t the US military fracture so both sides will have advanced weaponry and capabilities?

Insurgents routinely obtained sophisticated weapons and capabilities from third parties..a significant chunk of our military budget and the activity of personnel is supporting the combatants we like vs. the ones we don”t…..America being a bigger prize is going to see lots of interested third parties.

Who says the US Military will support a rogue government hunting their own citizens….maybe some units will while others stay on base and the “Government” doesn’t have unlimited access to those resources.

Who says that the “Right” is required to play insurgent….I guess your embedded assumption is that a revolt by the Left is easily quashed.

As to the Wolverine factor….the untrained but motivated will not likely move the needle and will be mostly cannon fodder, I agree on that. The trained and motivated will perform a Green Beret mission training cadre and the first rule of every successful insurgency including the American Revolution Continental Army…..just don’t suffer a war-ending defeat….

So no I don’t agree that it is as simplistic as Army has Apache’s and Hellfire missiles….”Game Over Man”….how has that worked out in Afgh? Vietnam? Iraq? and most insurgencies….Malaysia is considered a successful defeat of an insurgency as is the defeat of the Tamil Tigers and the IRA….all took 20+ years and the IRA was truly weak/pathetic but still held the Brits off for several decades.

One point that is valid is that the level of casualties amongst the insurgents is likely to be catastrophic compared to what Americans are accustomed to…..with limited medical support etc….but you know what….that tends to just harden the will of the survivors…just ask the Viet Cong….

I really hope this never ever happens, that the Left can be defeated in court or in the arena of ideas…..but it does not seem likely….

Sure, I know, they would be pissed if the the controller was taken out of their hand. But they have been yelled at before, and think that they will get it back in couple of days if they just wait.
I now hear whistling over the “kill, kill, kill” thumbs down hand. Yeah, that works too.
If these people you see aren’t closing in on the capitol now, then like when? I guess they don’t know there is war on. Maybe after they get drafted huh?

I see No marches, nothing within earshot of citizens, patriots on the right other than keyboard warriors and a faith their “vote” will be enough. If you have been watching p, since Clinton, obummer and shrub and how they have stolen your country while we sat around doing nothing, saying nothing. What makes you think anyone is up for marching through the woods avoiding drones and then fighting for freedom?

We wont give up our tv remotes, xboxes and porn but somehow we have a belief we will start a shooting revolution? Seriously….Wow talk about cognitive dissonance. This is the final stages. The next dems in power will come full forward with 100% gun bans. That is their last step. And you can bet while people are searching for their remotes, or channel surfing they will wave off the feds and point them to their basement to get their guns because “aint nobody gots time fo dat, help yourself”.

We really are in a mess and the few that will stand up and fight will be made examples of. We all talk about how the jews waited too long and did nothing but we are doing the same. We still have a Constitution, Bill of Rights and time and ability to march and make our own voices heard, but instead we get drowned out and shouted down by a few faggots in dresses at the library. We are ants against elephants but think we are T-Rex. Our own misguided over confidence in ourselves and the system are historical. The right has done nothing for themselves other than play keyboard warrior and tolerate the insanity. We are more interested in watching the left go crazy than taking their threat seriously. This battle is over, already won, and we losers do not even see it for we think the battle has not even started. That is why it will be shock and awe when the left gains power again and the change seems so rapid. The system is set up for them to take power and move very quickly.

gman,

“you are only really defeated when you think you can never win.”

I stand by that simple statement. That is not emotional…I’ll agree, “Piss and shit on TLPTB…come and get some spawn of hell.” is…but to me you often seem to take the gold is useless, Mad Max is coming, we will all be slaughtered by technology in our front yards…all is lost view…could be…but I don’t think it is going to be that one sided by any means at all.

I consider myself not only realistic but also a student of history, and especially of military history. That is one of the reasons I believe the outcome of what is coming is nowhere near pre-determined.

On the other side of the coin, I was in over 30 fire fights as a Grunt before I was 20, and I just turned 70. I can still do the recon shuffle up and back down my farm road, with a MIA with a night scope and bipods, at port arms…with hidden fighting positions all along both sides. Just got me some body armor and will try it soon wearing it…to get use to it.

Let me say it one more time.

Yea some “emotional defiance” like…”Give me liberty or give me death!” seems to be out of style.

Too many today say: “Give me Free Shit or I’ll send the Cops or the National Guard or the MIC to take it!”

How about instead of just 3% 33% of U.S. rise up and say “COME AND TAKE IT?”

Mean it, form together by Gun Sanctuary Counties, and start getting ready…NOW!

The TLPTB (L for Luciferian) want a Civil War, order out of chaos and all that, obviously they are not going to stop until they start one, and if they can’t push us too far they will probably create enough mass shooting FFs to start kicking down doors at 4 am.

I think we have no choice but mass 2nd amendment ‘organization’ through exactly what the 2nd amendment says we can do and those of us (like 80 year old Sionnach Liath) form together, train, and get ready for the possible fight of your life.
Getting ready for the fight of your life, and standing boldly together armed to the teeth, MAY BE THE ONLY WAY TO AVOID IT.

Ir is one of easiest systems to fool. A larger or hotter heat source will cover a smaller, lasers are deadly against ir and there are many different shields that will mask human thermal signatures. Plus its almost impossible to find thermal through a heavy canopy. Nothing is fool-proof, including ir. Yes, I am experienced with it. I worked with the prototype FLIR on the A-6E TRAM and the subsequent systems. I was the one that actually repaired the system at the next level.

The war is part of Operation Gladio…a 17 year drug deal run by the CIA. Gladio started in 46 and is running today. It was never fought to be won, just like Nam.

It is sickening.

Poppy Bush (former head of the CIA) was called Poppy because of the CIA milking of the poppy fields.

Little Georgie W was his and the CIA’s puppet.

911 was a FF excuse to get complete physical control of the poppy fields (among other crimes and cover up’s)…Vietnam had long dried up as a source.

Hiding isn’t fighting. And he didn’t end up being the leader of the New Republic after eluding the authorities for 5yrs. So Appalachia is going to be the new DC? I don’t think so. So they have a Wall Street or anything else that they could build on. Even in 1861 they weren’t building any industry.

Used to trick kids into not taking religion or their parents seriously, only the State (schools). We was holed up in peoples houses not the mountains. Only once they got serious and went after him did those people finally have something to lose and kicked him out. He did not last a few weeks in the rough mountains and got busted eating out of a dumpster. Reality people. There are few if any real Rambos out there. Seriously.

Which is, of course, one of the hallmarks of insurgency the ability to blend in and be supported by the population. The Counter-Insurgent can either raise the costs of supporting insurgency (Russians kill everybody in Chechnya or Afgh) or the Government wins the “hearts and minds” and there is no longer a reason to support the insurgency….

Rudolph was never a political figure, just a fanatic on a team of one but as you point out he had a lot of support.

It should be pretty easy to extrapolate his success to a larger scale when the population is actually motivated by government tyranny etc.

Rudolph was never a political figure, just a fanatic on a team of one but as you point out he had a lot of support.

His writing I linked to above makes clear he had almost zero support. Only one person and they offered 48hr until they notified the authorities. The book talks little about the bombings or his motivations and instead focuses on eluding the army of FBI, National Guard, and freelancers looking for him.

With support, a domestic terrorist or small group could fade in and out of the populace and not spend winters in the mountains. That is why the cartels in Mexico will never be defeated by military means. Which brown person is the enemy? They have the support of the locals because they provide a functioning government.

Support was claimed as one, but given the timeline and the area Rudolph roamed around in, I strongly suspect there were multiple supporters. Remember people and especially governments are trying to tell you “a story” or a narrative not “the story” a recitation of the facts.

A poncho or similar cover made from a space blanket renders IR useless. I learned this about ten years ago when some college students got lost in the Appalachians. Choppers with IR scoured the area for days and found nothing. They were ultimately found and it was learned that the students had all been wrapped up in space blankets. I’m sure this was a big disappointment to the Gestapo for that info to get out.

A: when involved with any clandestine orgaization just work off the assumption you will be infiltrated. and don’t assume the guy who brought you into the group, or even the leader, can’t be that informant. also be aware there are likely multiple informants who are unaware of each other’s presense.

Most of north Idaho is about the same. Except the native guerrillas are packing a .270 win with a nylon sling, if it even has one, with maybe 10-20 rounds and are decked out in leather logger boots, cotton thermals and Cabella’s camo. My guess is the bulk of them will be thinned out quickly as they appear to be unable to think and work effectively in a team environment. The non natives-who will actually be the ones to defend the state in the event of wrol-are the ones with tactical knowledge and skills and appropriate equipment. Blew my mind what I learned when I got here as I expected a little different, seeing how it is north Idaho. Ten years later it still blows my mind. Not that I’m bitter about it. No, not at all.

I bought one hard and one soft. The woman that owns the company was great, met her at a gun show, and tried everything on, good fits. Got decent discounts at the gun show…we ‘bargained’.

Call her and ask questions she was a great lady to deal with, super knowledgeable on her products.

Check out the ‘Shield’ video, thinking about one of them as well. I have never seen that before, intriguing.
