This has such wide-spread application that I could give examples all day. “Desiring his delicacies” is what the various States have chosen with the Feds and relinquished their sovereign power. This is what the masses have chosen as a lifestyle, all around the world. There are very few who refuse the allure of comfort and safety, and ignore the price.
There is a difference between delicacies that are mine and delicacies that are not. If men owned women as sexual property, women would be civilized delicacies and otherwise useful people. Yah, I said it. Thou shalt not covet they neighbor’s property.
Bonus points: Deuteronomy 15:6, 28:12-3. That’s your God talking, before the new song of the new covenant.

The Deut. verses all speak solely to the Jews under the Mosaic law. Behavior-based. Do this, and this will happen, whether blessing or curse. As you point out, the new covenant is a new song about a heart-based and grace-based relationship with God. Family not servant.
Galations 3 and 4: 1-7. Esp. 4: 1-2; Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, but is under guardians and stewards until the time is appointed by the father.
I won’t put the whole thing here; if you’re interested you’ll look it up yourself. Basically we, as people of God, were kept under guard as under a tutor until the adoption through Christ.
