The way to remove the power from the social media sites is to go after their income stream. It’s their easy money that allows them to trample the population’s rights that just so happens to have an opinion that differs from theirs.

The people like Candace, Dave, Ann Coulter, etc should start a campaign to put truth into advertising as a left handed attack on the social media platforms.

It’s advertising (aka professional lying) that needs to be reigned in as a public service and something the left would have to go for if the pitch is to protect the consumer. If laws could be passed to restrict advertising to only stating absolute facts, then advertising would practically disappear. No money for the professional propagandists at Facebook, Google, etc.

You’ve made this point before SAO. I’m not disagreeing. And I’m not looking to argue with you. But most of your comments are along the line of get rid of Fed gov. Then you say someone should make or enforce some law or regulation to restore truth in advertising. Square circle???

Use the corrupt system as long as it exists to kill that corrupt system. But I think you know that. You don’t swallow the elephant whole.

The vast majority of people see gov’t as some sort of necessity. I certainly don’t – just the opposite, it’s the source of all problems.

Change needs to be made that the majority low IQ people can rally around. If the political class see some advantage for themselves by going along with regulating advertising, then it’s all good, for now. Cutting off the propaganda machine should be in everyone’s interest.

the only “regulation ” needed 4 advertising is a court or jury decision 4 false or misleading advertising against the platforms that carry the advertising with said verdict being upheld by scotus —
class action suits would lead to changes very rapidly–
the ultimate solution lies in farmer’s solution of abandoning the platforms that war against us,along w/consumers punishing the companies that advertise w/them–

I think you and I both know that the people that live on social media have never even heard of the ‘red pill’. They are oblivious, somnolent, plain stupid.

They don’t see the connection between their use of those platforms and the deterioration of their lives precisely because they are stupid.

Asking them to abandon these platforms simply isn’t going to happen. They think they are getting something enjoyable, to them, for free. Free sells and advertising is what is actually paying the bills. Advertising that increases the price of every product or service they use but again are too stupid to connect the dots.

The only way to cut the revenue stream for social media sites, and hence their power, is to attack advertising as a manipulation of the population and get the dumbbells to realize this and clamor for truth in advertising that will actually cripple the concept. That’s why I called it a left handed attack that the progressives and liberals would have to support if for no other reason than virtue signaling.

We are the product. Our posts, Tweets etc. are the fuel for all of these platforms. Without us they have no business. Boycott them for a day or a week en masse and they may get the idea. The idea that we supply their lifeblood and then get told to piss off or watch what we say about anything prog/liberal/fuquehead is too much. I use none of them and if you do you are supplying the ammo for your own firing squad.

You are, of course, correct in that the population gives these platforms meaning.

There’s no way to reach hundreds of millions of people to spread your idea of a boycott. Even if they could be made aware of your message, they wouldn’t go along because to them you are obviously crazy. Remember the average US IQ is 99 with half the population below that already low line.

You really think we need more laws?

Income isn’t a factor. These aren’t real companies with a bottom line, there are no P&L statements, not revenue streams reliant on typical consumer spending.

There is only one way to win and that is to abandon whatever platform or venture they occupy or control.

See my reply above.

I also suspect that Google, Facebook, etc are CIA sponsored at least to the extent that they looked at the original ideas from their nefarious vantage point and decided that these cretins should be funded and that happened. If there’s a deeper connection I’ve not discovered it.

Even though I hate gov’t in all forms, instead of continually being oppressed by it, if we’re smart we can use it’s power to our advantage. That’s if we’re smart. But I doubt that can be said of the greater US population.

“The way to remove the power from the social media sites is to go after their income stream”

well, the usual trope response to such issues is to cite the quote, “the way to get rid of corruption in high places is to get rid of high places”. just wondering why you don’t think that applies here.

“If laws could be passed to restrict advertising to only stating absolute facts”

that would require another “high place” – the department of truth in advertising or some such.

She didn’t even get a reason for ban… and like me if you go in twitter her account is still there, in the stocks, in virtual market square. And now acolytes for @jack can throw shit without fear of getting anything in return for her.

Is Dave Rubin an idiot? If you don’t know the answer to these questions….

“Are private citizens not allowed to share their thoughts here? And if so, is Twitter acting on behalf of the government?

Might be worth looking into, @pnjaban…

…”

…you might be an idiot and should look into seeing a mental health professional.

It’s pretty bad when even gatekeeping milquetoast “conservatives” like Candace are getting banned. Where’s their savior Trump?
