Los Angeles has banned trick-or-treating for all children, and health officials told parents they can’t go “trunk-or-treating,” either.
“Door-to-door trick-or-treating is not allowed because it can be very difficult to maintain proper social distancing on porches and at front doors especially in neighborhoods that are popular with trick or treaters,” the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health said in its recently released guidelines. “‘Trunk-or-treating’ events where children go from car to car instead of door to door to receive treats are also not allowed.”
“Gatherings or Parties with non-household members are not permitted even if they are conducted outdoors,” the guidelines said. “Carnivals, festivals, live entertainment, and haunted house attractions are not allowed.”
The guidelines do not say what the penalty will be for those who violate the guidelines.
Here’s what’s allowed:
- Online parties/contests (e.g. costume or pumpkin carving)
- Car parades that comply with public health guidance for vehicle based parades including:
- a. Drive by events or contests where individuals dress up or decorate their vehicles and drive by
“judges” that are appropriately physically distanced. - b. Drive through events where individuals remain in their vehichles and drive through an area
with Halloween displays. - c. Drive in events where individuals can receive a treat bag (limited to commercially packaged
non-perishable treats) or take away item from an organizer while the participants remain in
their vehicle. - Halloween movie nights at drive in theaters (must comply with the public health drive in movie
theater guidance). - Halloween themed meals at outdoor restaurants (must comply with the restaurant protocol).
- Halloween themed art installations at an outdoor museum (must comply with the public health
museum guidance.) - Dressing up homes and yards with Halloween themed decorations.

With all the freaks in LA, I’m not sure anyone will even notice that Halloween is banned.
The entitled bastards will rent a luxury house to throw a Halloween party.
I thought after a quick glance of the accompanying picture that the headline read, “Los Angeles Bans White People Trick or Treating.” Seemed new normal for about a second.
But the pressing question on everyone’s lips……Do I have to wear a mask over my mask???
No, but you do have to wear a mask under your mask.
Auntie thinks this will be the perfect invitation for some real spooky shit.
Can BLMTIFA still riot if they dress up in something other than black?
So this us another tacit admission that masks don’t work? So we can stop being forced to wear these ineffective masks?
No? Didn’t think so.
I guess when CW2 gets cranked up people will stop worrying about masks (except as a way to remain anonymous).
The L.A. (and CA) governments could dump 55 gallon drums of cow manure on their people’s heads and they’d still vote Democrat.
“a. Drive by events or contests where individuals dress up or decorate their vehicles ”
Like shootings?
“b. Drive through events where individuals remain in their vehicles and drive through an area”
Like running over rioters?
“c. Drive in events where individuals can receive a treat bag (limited to commercially packaged”
Like dressing as a homeless and going to a food bank?
Count me in!
That’s the spirit, Musc.
When are people going to say “ENOUGH! NOT ONE MORE INCH!”???
I keep waiting myself. Never seem to find that line in the sand.
When their bank accounts are empty, they might get up.
Fuck the government. Was chatting with my neighbors this morning, and the general consensus in the neighborhood is that Halloween is happening, regardless of what the local dictators say (fortunately our governor has not been as big an asshole as most). I saw an article on Yahoo from the Huffuking Post this morning that was talking about cancelling Christmas. You know Thanksgiving is already coming up in conversations among the tyrants. It is bad enough that they tell us what time it is. Screw them if they think they are shutting down anything else. If there are parents who won’t let their kids come to our door because we aren’t wearing masks, then screw them. Hopefully the kids will realize that their parents are the REAL children in the family.
Did they discuss canceling Ramadan?
I didn’t think so.
By the way, in the photo above is that kid in the middle dressed as
JonBenét Ramsey ?
I think so….troubling parents.
You can guarantee that Kwanza, Ramadan, and Hannukah will all go on as planned.
Halloween mask idea.
Nancy, you can take your mask off now. Ohh f… Put it back on!
