It is imperative that we save Civilization from the coming collapse, a la A Canticle for Liebowitz. That means we must return to Classical education.
Perhaps the best argument for Classical education I ever came across was in Memoirs of a Superfluous Man, by Albert Jay Nock. I’m linking to Amazon for the description.
This book will make plain to you how far we have been degraded since it was written. Nock was probably a bit of a Libertarian as we understand the term today, but had he lived long enough he would have come around to National Socialism. In any event, his books are illuminating on a number of levels.

Wrongly educated or Mal-Educated?
Propagandized, disinterested, distracted, bored, indoctrinated and infantilized; all by modern pedagogical design.
The imbeciles who know Lebron James or James Cordon are legion. Deng Xiaoping? Blaise Pascal? Xenophon? Who’s that?
“Wrongly educated” is the entire premise of government monopoly “education.” Free and independent thinkers, who can apply logic to an argument, who can and will independently research a subject, who will stand firm in their commitment to a principle and a position, are the greatest threat to every government on the planet.
Mainstream Education is nothing more than Social Engineering. That and nothing more.
I’ve learned 2 very important things from some very smart people who blog, one who’s no longer with us another who still is.
1. Stay away from crowds
2. Everything is a business model
Understanding bad education is just understanding those 2 basic premises.
