The American People have not been in charge for a very long time if we ever were. The Elite Corruptocrats like Joe, Obama, Pelosi, “Cocaine” Mitch, and all the rest and worse the silent figures in the shadows have been using the US Government as their own piggy bank since the 1800s (take your pick of a date).
Trump was magically elected against their will and the last long 4-year shit show have highlighted who is really in charge and to paraphrase George Carlin, it ain’t us!
Joe Biden is but a vessel, a conduit to channel monies by selling influence in the political bazaar. The corruption with foreign entities including the Chinese is treason in addition to criminality but so what……..close to 50% of the American electorate could care less……they want their free shit. The other 50% think voting makes a sustainable difference…….and that is where they are wrong.
With the real power not under the control of the people for a very long time, voting also hasn’t mattered enough for a very long time. It matters but not enough to remove these parasites from power, not enough to change the direction of the country (endless MIC wars, financialization of the economy, selling out to China Inc. etc.). We must remove them all from positions of power and prevent their access to power. Hard to do in our system which depends on the goodwill of the governed and those in power.
Either way, this so-called election turns out the country is not returning to the status quo ante, the 4th Turning Finale is here. We retake our Republic or we will be ruled as the serfs they think we are.

I think it does matter, prior to these days we the people would never see what filth is going on behind the scenes, now we do, this is causing some of us to wake up. That is very important. Even if they do steal the election, this is a starting point to rebellion.
