During the Oakland OWS demonstrations a dude got hit in the head with a tear gas canister fired by the police. I posted the picture of him bleeding on the ground. Smokey’s comment was “He should have ducked”. That set off the biggest donnybrook ever on TBP. I think by the end, Stuck, Llpoh, AWD and myself left the site for a few days because we were so mad at each other.
This was the picture. The dude ended up winning $4.5M in a lawsuit against the police.

That was a sad day. I was rooting for OWS myself. I’m pretty sure they were after the right people. But, like every other “movement” that exposes the men behind the curtain, it was subverted. That’s my opinion about it anyway.
