I had an opportunity to see Keith and the Stones only once … their 1st American tour — at the Cleveland Arena. I believe it was ’64 — the same year I saw the Beatles in Cleveland.
Those were the days … my friend … we thought they’d never end …
Keith and Mick have been since the very beginning the people our parents and other grown-ups warned us about — the poster children for everything that was ‘harmful’ and that we were supposed to avoid at all costs.
Funny thing … many of my generation are long gone — I look at my surviving high school classmates (Class of ’65) and see that they’re not only younger than Keith and Mick — but that they’re way worse off, too —
