Do you have any idea how smart someone has to be to write and deliver material like that in order for you to think he’s stupid?

His point is, they could be lying to you and you would never know.

That’s the joke.

I thought it was funny…

Gotta give the guy props for being able to write something funny for this perpetually offended world….

Rodney Dangerfield never had to explain a joke.

No one has to explain the Dick and Jane series either, but if you stopped reading at that level you’d have missed Great Gatsby.

Here’s the thing, he has figured out how to write comedy for the perpetually offended by concealing the truths everyone recognizes in a character so inoffensive you simply can’t be outraged. The reason people laugh at jokes is either in the delivery- ridiculous physical humor, for example- or in exposing a truth that everyone already understands and is able to grok without ever having thought of it. The A-ha! moment. (it’s funny cause it’s true).

If I want to grok something I’ll read “Stranger In A Strange Land”.
If I want to know something about maple syrup making I’ll listen to you.
Nothing personal.
George Carlin isn’t funny either.

If you ever have something interesting to say I’ll listen to you. So far, you’re zero for a thousand.

And Mary Ann was a gazillion times better looking than Ginger. Is your last name Vitas?

Modern science is driven by money and the results seem to always reflect the beliefs of the grant provider.

“Who told you this? The snake?” ha! That’s about as perfect a reptile brain bite as there could be. But what’s one more bite to a brain already bite-appended to medusa? Not to mention all those other writhing reptile den countries & supranationals.

(Far as that goes, if you’ve ever seen a ball of snakes, early Spring, trying to warm up on a canal bank, you know that it looks a lot like a brain.)

I came to regret it, but killing vipers was default when I was a kid. One was the most gorgeous water moccasin. Those are usually scaled in ominous dark suits of flat blacks & grays, which max contrasts the cotton of their open & waiting mouths. But this one had brilliant yellows, some tinges of scarlet, tiger-striping up its sides. I shoulda’ left it, & all the others, alone. It & the others never harmed me, I had no business fouling them.

After I dragged its trophy carcass out of the marsh bottom of the pit a bunch of people were shooting practicing in, an expert adult (I was 13 or so) came over to provide the lecture that answered the question he posed. “Do you know what you’re dealing with here?” Then he angled a stick under the folded fangs, extended them outward, said “see?”

I saw. I was looking right at him. I dind’t think to myself “I shot the wrong snake.” But I did feel the emotion that would underlie such a translation.

I heard Joe Rogan, talking about DMT tripping.

(Aside: he’s used that fuel to shoot himself into the bullseye of the universe more than once, achieve oneness/perspective, characterizes that molecule as possibly what opens the gateway & transports dying people to the other side…but was terrified by corona at the outset. Seems like DMT profundities could do with an additional molecule, or two. Or maybe a couple of molecular balls just need to be bigger.)

Anyway, as JR’s talking about 3rd eye pineal glands he says that reptile pineal glands have irises, etc. I’d never heard that, I was just an amateur herp kid, not a spacetime traveler, like Joe.

Uh-oh, Ghost. Frogs. Has eye of Sauron’s pyramid seen, & sent the lampreys (which have two 3rd eyes…shouldn’t that be one 3rd & one 4th?)?

That is a magnificent close up of the best and most active operating body part of the poisonous invertebrate Politicianus Americanus.
